Chapter 5 Getting Cheated

Everyone gathered at the lake, Harry strode towards his girlfriend, as soon as he got near her she stepped backward avoiding his touch. "I'm sorry I didn't wait with you" he said plainly. She nodded, she turned around and walked towards the lake. She saw Alec staring at her, "Where is El?, I mean Elena" she asked him. "She stayed behind, she had to get some alterations done in her wedding gown" she'll be here once she is done. "And what about you" she asked. "What do you mean?" Alec said.

"I believe you have a custom made suit for you for the wedding"

"yeah, I'll be wearing a black tuxedo." Alec replied.

"I bet the ladies won't be able to take thier eyes off you". She said with a cute crooked smile. Is she flirting with me, Alec thought staring intently at her smile which was slightly raised at the left side and left a dimple on that side of her face.

"But I think your eyes will be only on your bride, right?". Alec nodded without paying attention to what she was saying. All his attention was on her eyes and her smile.

"Isn't that your boyfriend with that girl?" Elizabeth said. She turned around to see Harry standing extremely close to a tourist girl. They looked like they were flirting with eachother.

"Alec" Elena said loudly when she entered the lake premises. Everyone turned to look at her. "All done?" Elizabeth asked her, "Yeah, the bridal gown looks stunning, I can't wait for the wedding day to come", Elena said excitedly.

All of them had a great time at the lake. Soon it got dark, it was time for them to go back. Everyone was heading out. Alec was busy on a call when he saw Elena's friend from away walking in different direction from the exit. He ran towards her, "Hey, that's the wrong way" Alec said. "I was looking for Harry. I saw him come this way a few minutes before." "Everybody left five minutes back, I thought you went with them as well". "Oh okay, Harry might be with them then" she said. "I saw Harry flirting with that other woman, why are you with.." before Alec could continue they heard a loud moan from inside a cabin nearby. It was a woman's voice. She was moaning loudly.

They both could see the silhouettes of a man and a woman from the translucent window of the cabin. They could hear the man panting out loud and the woman's moans. She said "Oh Harry" in a moaning voice. The pair outside the cabin was stunned to hear the name. Thier eyes widened while the moaning and panting sound from inside the room continued. Alec thought of moving towards the cabin to catch them red handed, but he saw her turn around and walk away. He changed his mind and followed her. Once he was near her he caught her wrist and she turned around, her face was surprisingly calm.

"Why did you walk away?", Alec asked.

"I never had any feelings for him. The moment I heard her call out Harry's name I didn't feel anything. I don't see a point here, to ponder over what we saw just now". Alec was still holding her wrist amazed at her reaction. "Let's go Mr. Wilson, it's getting dark" she said and started walking to the exit ignoring his hand on her wrist. Alec followed her. They both drove together in silence. Alec was baffled with her coldness and indifference.
