Chapter 11 I was Doomed!

Chapter 12 That Night Creature

/ 1

-Mekra-
She was always in my dream, I had a hunch that she was my Luna, my true mate. But how could I find her? Was she even here in the Main Land? I wouldn't give up that easily.
My Luna, I'd find you even though decades had passed.
Ever since I got into this Main Land, my feelings for her kept on growing stronger. Usually, she only appeared once a week in my dream the most, when I was still in the Green Valley.
But here in the Main Land, from twice a week, she appeared even more often until every other night. There were some nights she appeared in sequence. Finally, I knew this is how it felt to have a strong bond with a true mate.
I looked up to the moon. It was so blue. Somewhere in another place, I believed she also looked at the same blue moon. We're bound by the moon.
I was certain, so this was how the Nasriantra clan hunch for their mates worked. Just like dad kept on telling me how it worked. I finally got to feel it. And I was relieved, I AM my father's son, that one day I'd be the Nasriantra Alpha. But before I got to be the Alpha, I had to get through the Trinity curse. What made me excited was that I'd find my Luna after I had through with the third phase of the Trinity curse.
Wait... someone was behind my back.
Another werewolf!
So, I rushed and looked at what on my back was.
There stood him,
In his human form but I could smell his werewolf scent. He was shorter than me with darker skin, a bald head, and a pair of glasses. He smiled widely.
"Darn it, Ron! You scared me!"
"Am I a ghost to you yet?" he laughed and mocked me.
"Please don't!" I begged him. Then I continue, "You're the only brother I had in the Main Land."
"Don't be that pathetic, Mek! You have Jacob in your hometown." Again, he smiled widely while fixing his glasses.
As far as I know, no werewolf would ever wear glasses just like Iron did. He said that he was different, an anomaly from where he came from. There were a lot of werewolves in their human form who wore glasses in his Gursala clan. I found the info about the Gursala clan in the all-know library. The info that I didn't find in the Green Valley Library.
The Gursala clan had a special power called the iron fist, just like Iron's name. He got the name because he was the prince of the Gursala clan, and he was the son of the alpha in the clan. The drawback that the Gursala clan had was that when they were in their human form, they had to wear glasses. Each great power came with a weakness. I thought the Gursala clan was so lucky that the only weakness appeared when they were in their human form.
I began to find the pattern of all the werewolf clans. They tend to send their sons to learn on my campus and to find certain info about many things. I bet that being the students and mingled with the humans would also be one of the abilities we, the alphas' sons had to possess.
Well, at least I wasn't alone in this. It was an irony that I was the lone wolf but I couldn't be alone. I was a werewolf after all, wherever we went, we were bound by the moon and in the pack, I belonged. Iron said that he was my beta now.
Though he had an iron fist, he kept on telling me that I was smarter. He said that he knew it the minute he smelled my werewolf scent. He said I bled a strong male's pheromones that would attract any female companion close by. If any female found us both, I surely would be the first pick, he said.
Thus, he declared himself as my beta.
"I know I found an alpha when I see one," was the line that he said the first time he met me.
"You should say, 'Welcome to the pack'," he continued.
So, I obeyed and I said, "Welcome to the pack..." I wasn't sure but I hid my uncertainty and tried to be a great alpha.
Here in the Main Land, no one knew that I was a runner from practically everything. Here I got the chance to prove myself to be a better alpha. I believed my being challenged to be an alpha, would come in handy one day when I got back to the Green Valley.
"You know, Mek. I always wonder, do you have a Luna back in the Green Valley?" Iron randomly asked.
"Not that I know of. If I could, I'd like to have a Luna from another place. A Luna from the Green Valley? I don't think she would be that interesting. She'll be the same old Nasriantra. There's no challenge in that." I said flatly.
"You, adrenaline junkie!" Iron mocked me again.
"Aren't we all?" I shot a rhetorical question at his face. Because we were werewolves after all. Among other creatures, when it came to adrenaline junkies, we were the champions.
"Well, Mek. Let me introduce you to one of my best friends. She has the same smell as you do." Iron suddenly said a random thing.
His kindness aroused suspicious thoughts in my mind so I asked, "What do you mean by that? Is she a female wolf?"
"Well...", Iron hesitated. "She's not a wolf yet, but I got a hunch that she's one of us." He continued now with certainty.
"What? There's no such thing as a late bloomer or shifter for a werewolf. If she's one of us, then she should be one.
Have you ever seen her shifting and running with you under the moonlight?" I got curious.
"Umm... not really," now Iron completely confused me.
"What?" my eyes almost popped out of my head, then I continued, "Then how can you be so sure?"
"I got a hunch, Mekra Nasriantra. A Gursala will never be wrong, that's why we have the iron fist."
"It's impossible, Ron. If she had never shifted, she's not one of us." I firmed my opinion.
"She ...."
