Chapter 2 The Drug Kicked In

Celia was thinking about some countermeasures. Under the influence of the drug, she was weak all over. And there was a bodyguard in the car guarding her. Obviously, it was not feasible to fight recklessly.

The bridal car went farther and farther. But the strange thing was, it gradually drove to a remote place.

It was not heading to the Shaw family's house.

As the wealthiest and the most powerful family in Hosworth, the Shaws couldn't possibly live in such a desolate area.

Celia got flustered at once.

Could it be that this was the "big gift" that Cerissa mentioned?

Before she could think further, she felt a burst of heat coming from within her body, and a lustful red glow appeared on her cheeks.

Oh, crap! The aphrodisiac kicked in.

Celia was so anxious.

When the bodyguard saw her flushed face, he did not hide the obscenity in his eyes. He pressed her on the seat, smiled lewdly, and said, "It seems that the aphrodisiac has taken effect."

Celia twisted her body and struggled desperately. But the waves of lust gradually devoured her consciousness.

"Don't worry. I'll help you right now."

The bodyguard shackled her hands and fiddled with her wedding dress frivolously.

The driver glanced at the rearview mirror from time to time. And when he saw Celia's delicate skin under the wedding dress, he became more and more uneasy. He urged the bodyguard, "Hurry up! I'll bang her after you. Don't forget to take a video. Miss Kane has specially ordered that."

It turned out that this was the "big gift" that Cerissa meant.

Celia was so disgusted by their filthy words. When she saw that the two men were laughing evilly, relaxing their vigilance, she seized the opportunity to grab the steering wheel.

The driver was scared out of his wits as he didn't expect her to do such a thing. "You are a lunatic! Do you want us to die together?"

Although the bodyguard kept pulling Celia back, the driver was still in a panic, so he failed to stabilize the steering wheel.

In the blink of an eye, the bridal car lost control and collided with an oncoming limited-edition limo.

The bridal car was thrown a few meters away. The bodyguard and the driver were knocked dizzy. Celia's head hit the window, too, so she was also giddy.

But she did her best to remain conscious. It was the right time to run away.

Celia didn't mind the pain all over her body. She kicked the bodyguard with all her strength, opened the car door, and fled without looking back.

The driver and bodyguard swiftly got out of the car to pursue Celia.

On the other hand, the limited-edition limo came to a halt after being struck.

The two guys in suits on the front seats got out quickly. One of them checked the car immediately, while the other stood respectively in front of the rear door. He bowed and said, "I'm sorry."

The man in the automobile stepped out of the car and answered the phone, which had been ringing for a while.

A stern and irate voice was heard on the other end of the line. "What have you been doing? The bride is almost here, but you have not yet returned. Do you think that we would hold such a wedding ceremony for you if you were not my son? Hosworth is enormous. You can't even get yourself a wife. How long do you plan to humiliate our family?"

"I am no longer a member of the Shaw family. I do not intend to return."

Then the man abruptly hung up the phone.

After inspecting the car, his assistant Briar returned to his side and said, "Everything should be alright and will not delay your appointment with Mr. O'Brien."

The man's face was devoid of emotions. "Keep driving. Godwin, you handle the remaining issues."

Then the man entered the car.

As soon as Celia saw the man was about to leave, she hurried forward and placed her hand in front of the closing door.

She had a large red mark on her palm because she stopped the car from closing.

There was nobody else around. It was her only chance to escape.

Attempting to get inside the car to escape her perilous predicament, she continued to behave rashly. She stared at the guy in the car with tears in her eyes and begged, "Please help me!"

The man bowed his head and regarded her with an intense gaze. Her gorgeous eyes were filled with tears.

The driver and bodyguard responsible for delivering Celia also arrived at this moment. The driver saw that the vehicle in front of him was costly, so he suppressed his fear and wrath and said courteously, "I apologize for hitting your car just now, sir. But it's simply an accident. It is our fault. We were in a rush to deliver the bride on time to the Shaw family."

Although he seemed courteous, he was implying that the most important thing now was to send the bride to the Shaws or the repercussions of offending this wealthy family would be awful.

The man remained silent with a look of comprehension in his eyes. This was not the way to the Shaw family's house.

Celia madly shook her head. The aphrodisiac had permeated her whole body, rendering her unable of organizing her words to refute.

She just grabbed the man's clothing and refused to release him. She attempted to tolerate the anguish as best as she could and muttered, "Sir, don't...please don't trust him. They...they want to rape me. I need... your help."

Agitated, the driver yelled, "Nonsense!"

He faced the man and said, "I strongly suggest you don't meddle with this. Getting into a fight with the Shaw family is not a wise decision."

After all, the Shaw family was the most dominant clan in Hosworth.

The man regarded Celia with a frosty expression.

Her eyes were hazy. Her face was as red as a crimson cloud, and her shoulders were uncovered.

He frowned, removed his coat, and slung it over Celia's shoulders. "Get inside the car."
