Chapter 9 Blissful marriage

"What did he see in Katherine!" Ashley said, in a mocking tone.

Thomas looked at her, narrowing her eyes. "Stop your nonsense" He said.

"He hasn't seen her yet," Thomas said.

"What?!" Ashley said.

"Then why did you say he wants to marry her?" Ashley asked dumbfoundedly.

"He said he wants to marry my elder daughter," Thomas said.

Ashley smirked, "So he doesn't know who the elder daughter is!" She thought to herself. An idea popped up in her head.

Thomas's phone started ringing right at that moment. Thomas checked his phone and soon his forehead was covered with sweat. He gulped his saliva. Fear was written all over his face.

"Who is it?"Ashley asked.

"Neil Smiths" He said.

Ashley's face brightened up immediately. Without delaying anymore Ashley snatched the phone from Thomas's hand. "Ashley!!" Thomas shouted.

Ashley ignored her husband's annoyed face and received the call immediately. "Are you thinking that you can save yourself by ignoring my call?" A cold yet attractive voice said. Ashley raised her one eyebrow and said while smiling, "Mr Neil I'm Thomas wife. Sorry for not picking up your call at once." "It's okay. What's your answer" He asked coldly.

"We will do as you say, Mr Smiths, we will give our elder daughter to you and you will help us with our debts." She said in one go.

Thomas kept looking at his wife and thought how can she easily agree to give their daughter to that cruel man. But again there's no other option left. It's either sacrificing their one daughter or sacrificing the whole family. It's better to sacrifice one person instead of all.

"I'm coming tomorrow,then," Neil said.

"Coming where, at our house???" Ashley said, almost shouting, widening her eyes. But instead of getting any replies she heard, 'tut tut tut' Neil already hung up the call on her.

"DID HE HUNG UP THE CALL ON ME???" Ashley said, her face turned all red due to her angriness.

"Now you know where you are going to give our daughter!" Thomas said and walked out of the room with an annoyed face.

""As long as he's rich, that's not even a problem!" Ashley said, her face turned to a happy face from that angry face. She kept smiling ear to ear and went to Shaisha's room.

"Oh my beloved daughter are you sleeping?" Ashley asked while caressing Shaisha's temple.

"Mom, let me sleep, go away" Shaisha said while taking her mother's hand away.

"Gosh! This fool doesn't even know what I'm going to do!" Ashley said, being irritated by her daughter.

She then looked at her and said with a pissed off tone, "I'm going to do something and this will make your life a bliss! But look at you, it's time you should wake up early and get rid of this stupid attitude! And stop sleeping all the time!!!"

"Gosh! I can't believe this clumsy girl is going to get married!!!"

"Married? Mom, what are you talking about? And I'm not getting married anytime soon" Shaisha said, in her sleep.

"Well guess what you are going to get married to a rich man!!!!"

Shaisha was all in her senses now, she got up immediately and looked at her mother who was right now very proud....

"Mom, wh...what are you planning on, huh? Are you going to get me married to an old hag?" Shaisha asked, holding her head, with a confused face.

Ashley tried to remember something and said, "Oh about that, I forgot to ask your father about that billionaire's age, haha." She said with a small laugh. And added, "Oh honey age doesn't matter if he's a billionaire you know? Like if he's old he will die soon and if he dies soon then you will get all the property, and we will be super rich... So you see, marrying an old hag is not a bad thing at all!"

"MOM, ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Shaisha shouted with disbelief in her eyes.

Ashley rolled her eyes and said, "Oh God give me strength so that I can put some sense into my daughter's head!" "You fool girl look at me! I married your dad even when he already had a child, okay that might be a bad decision, as we are poor now. But if you marry that billionaire, even if he's old, I don't know but maybe as he had asked for Katherine at first and wait!!!!! It all makes sense now!!!! Only an old hag can want her, I mean who would want to marry someone without even seeing, right?"

"Mom, I think you need to see a doctor. Because you have gone mad... damn mad!!!!!" Shaisha said, narrowing her eyes.

She was in utter shock that her mom wants her to get married to an old man. She would never marry someone who's older than her! Do hell with those stupid money.

But on a second thought Shaisha was thinking it might not be a bad idea at all! After all she can afford a lavish life and get out of this mess!

"Mom, do you know that man's name? Who's he?" Shaisha asked her mother in a soft tone.

"Your father had told me his name, well, it's..."

"Mom don't tell me you forgot the name too!!!!!" Shaisha said in an angry tone.

"Right, it's Neil, was it Neil Simon or Smith. Ughh!!!!" Ashley said, while trying to remember the surname. Meanwhile Shaisha's mouth was hanging open. She was in utter shock.

"WHATTT? NEIL SMITHS?!!!!!" Shaisha screamed while jumping off the bed and covered her mouth.

"Mom, are you kidding me?" she said. She just wasn't able to believe her ears.

Well, she knows very well how much Neil hates her. There's no way he would want to marry her!!!!
