Chapter 4 The Day Of The Interview

"It's just a hotel that was close by, I can't recall the name" I faked a smile. How could I tell her that it was Lorena hotel, one of the most luxurious hotel in Los Angeles? she'd be suspicious and curious

"ohhh.... and were you able to find a job?"

"Not yet" I ran my hands through my blonde hair. I had completely forgotten that I was searching for a job.

"I'm glad you didn't find a job" she smiled

"and why's that?" I furrowed my eye brows in confusion

"I figured out that finding a job here would be tough for you, so I submitted your application letter to one of the biggest companies here in Los Angeles" what? I was surprised at that and also happy

"when did you do that?"

"yesterday before my date with Damian. I know you still have more questions to ask but it's not necessary. Check your email" she said and I hurriedly turned everything in my bag out, my phone was lying in the one floor and I immediately picked it up and went straight to my email. I didn't know what exactly I should be searching for, but I didn't ask. I'd figure it out......

"you've been accepted to show up for the interview tomorrow by 9 am" I felt frisson as I read it out loud.

"That's a good sign girl" her eyes held genuine happiness "Jexs Company Ltd is a famous technology company in Los Angeles and guess what?" her eyes widened

"what?" I squinted my confused eyes

"I heard that the president of the company is super hot" she blushed

"Interesting. But I doubt I'd get to meet him" I sighed

"that's true but I hope you get the job, that's the most important thing girl". Yeah, she was right but having a super hot boss who I'd get to see everyday seemed more intriguing.

"maybe and.... thanks for that, I mean, what would I have done without your help?" I was sincerely grateful

"what are friends for? I'll be going to work soon" Luna said entering into her room.

"Have a nice day at work" I entered into my room and laid on my bed, I was reminiscing the moments I had the previous night with mr handsome.

I tried to recall all that happened, did we make out? I guess the alcohol effect was much stronger than I had imagined, I could only remember when I reached out for his boner and he held me back. Maybe we didn't make out, but then, why did I wake up only in my underwear? I then remembered taking of my clothes while he watched me impatiently as he breathed heavily. I heard the door open and close shortly and I concluded that Luna might have gone out.

"Hmmmm... I should get those thoughts out of my head" I said to myself. It was pointless reminiscing him because I wouldn't see him again. With that, I took my laptop and decided to search for possible questions they would ask during the interview. I was going to forget him and just focus on getting the job at Jexs.

It was morning time, the day of the interview and I woke up early enough. I didn't want anything getting in the way of interview especially showing up late. I took my shower and put on one of my best blazers, I dressed as decent as possible. Taking a last glance at the mirror, I tucked in my blonde hair behind my left ear.

"Perfecto!" I snapped my fingers and a smile crept into my cheeks.

"Lexi!" I heard Luna call from the sitting room and I hurriedly picked up my purse and necessary files before leaving.

"I'm all set" I said straightening up the collar of my clothes.

"hmmm.... if they go for looks, you'll definitely get the job" Luna complimented "that's too much" I blushed, she was right though, my looks were breath taking.

"I better get going" I checked my wrist watch, I had less than 20 minutes left.

"okay then" I walked out.

I flagged down a cab

"Jexs Company!" I said to the cab driver

"okay ma'am, should I take the main route or...."

"please take the shortcut" I smiled at him. I didn't know the road but if the shortcut was going to get me there on time, then it's worth a try.

In no time, we got to the famous Jexs company, It was way bigger than I imagined. As we approached the gate "Good morning ma'am, how may we help you" the security guy at the gate inquired.

"I'm here for an interview" I said showing them the email I received

"okay" he turned to his colleague who was at the gate "they're clear, open up". The gates were opened and we drove in.

The compound of Jexs Company was a large one with some many sub buildings in it. The main building was a situated at the middle of the compound, it was the biggest and tallest building there.

"we're here ma'am" the cab driver brought the cab to a halt at the entrance of the building.

"thanks!" I paid him and got out of the cab. "hmph" I took a deep breath as I looked around, indeed a handsome boss and a huge company. A smile crept into my cheeks and I walked into the building. I could see a lot of people walking in and out of the company, everyone seemed to be busy in their own little way. I walked up to the counter "Good morning, I'm here for the interview" I said to the lady at the counter, her eyes looked friendly

"It's on the 3rd floor" she pointed towards the elevator.

"okay, then" I said going into the elevator, I was glad it wasn't crowded. Getting to the 3rd floor, I saw a few people seating at the waiting area. A signboard which read "interview" was just by the side and I took my seat. We had to wait for over 20 minutes, I guess they were having things set up and thus, the delay.
