Chapter 5 Search for someone

Third POV

Alina returned to her bedroom rather than searching for the kitchen again. She was thirsty before she met her mate, but after meeting with him, she could not remember anything about why she went outside.

All night, she was thinking about him. 'Why did he leave me? Will he come and meet me tomorrow? Why is he so unhappy?'

Then she remembered how dangerous his gaze was. He could kill her simply by looking into her eyes.

"How can it be that I saw him in my dreams but he did not see anything, so he did not recognize me? Did he feel the same way I did? Why was my wolf chanting mate? If he is my mate, then why didn't he say that back?"

Alina was really confused; she didn't know what to do and what not to do.

She lay down on her bed and looked at the ceiling and told herself,

"If he is one of the pack fighters in our pack, then I have to be strong like him. My mate is a fighter wolf, so how can his mate be weaker? But I have one question. Why did he always appear in my dreams? How am I supposed to see someone I have never seen before? I used to think he was just my imagination. But he really exists!"

Alina sighed and closed her eyes. "Should I go to him? Or should I stay away from him? Will he harm me in the same way that he did in my dream, or was it all an illusion? Moon Goddess! Please do something and give me a hint. What should I do now?"

She continued to think about everything that she was unaware of when she fell asleep.

The next morning,

Alina woke up when she felt a light on her face. She turned her head to the other side and pulled the quilt over her face. She wanted to sleep more.

After a few minutes, she heard knocks at her door.

"Ms. Brown, please get up and come for breakfast."

Alina didn't open her eyes. She covered her ear with her pillow. She did not get much sleep last night.

After a while, she heard some loud knocks.

"Alina, wake up." Crystal shouted.

"NO." Alina shouted back. Her eyes remained closed.

"Come on, it's time for breakfast."

"You can go and have breakfast. I am not hungry," she replied in her sleepy voice.

"Wake up. The Lycan king is already here. He will kill you if you do not show up for breakfast on time. He is very punctual, you know," Crystal raised her voice.

When Alina heard 'Lycan King,' she immediately opened her eyes and sat up.

She remembered her mate. How he became enraged when she spoke nonsense about his beloved king.

"I am coming in ten minutes," Alina said and went to the bathroom.

She took a shower and dressed in a simple black dress. She did not like fancy dresses. She thought she would live with her parents, so she didn't take more stylish clothes with her. Her parents didn't like this.

Alina dried her hair and combed it. She pulled her hair back into a high ponytail and looked in the mirror.

"Hmm, I look decent."

She was about to leave, but she paused in front of the mirror. "I should look good today. Maybe he will come and meet me. Or he will come to have breakfast. Wait a minute, is he a fighter wolf, or an official?"

Now Alina got more worried. What if her mate was an official? If he were beta, theta, delta, or gamma-any of them-then it would be a problem for her. Maybe the Lycan king would not approve of her as his official's mate. Because she was an Omega.

"He told me I am a weak Omega. Will he deny our mate bond when the king questions him about it? Will he tell him that he does not like me and wants to reject me?"

There are so many thoughts going through her mind. She was unable to control her mind.

Her phone rang at that time. She looked at the bed and noticed her phone was ringing. She went to the bed and took her phone from there. It was Crystal.

"Where are you, Alina?"

"I am coming."

"You are lying to me. You are still in bed, right?"

"No, Crystal. I am ready. I am coming."

"Okay, please hurry up," she said, cutting the call.

Alina left her room and made her way to the dining area. She went to the dining room and saw many new faces.

"Here she is," Crystal spoke up.

Everyone was now looking at her. Under their gazes, Alina felt shy.

She took the seat next to Crystal, just as she had last night.

"Hello, I am Cooper, the Theta of this pack, or you can say of this realm," a boy said.

Alina looked up and gave him a quick glance. She saw him yesterday. Her gaze shifted to the other people. 'Two new faces,' she thought.

"Hello, my name is Alina Brown, and I am Crystal's friend," Alina replied.

"I am Delta Darren."

"I am Gorge, the Gamma of the king and the pack."

Alina nodded at them. The three of them were handsome, and their aura was killing. Everyone could tell they were powerful by looking at them.

"I'm Alina." She introduced herself.

Atlas did not enjoy the conversation, so he said, "Stop talking now. When it's time to eat, we should not speak."

"It's okay, they can talk. It's not a big deal." A voice could be heard from behind the table.

Alina turned her head to see a man approaching the table. He was also well-built and attractive.

'Why are all the guys in my pack so attractive? But nobody is more handsome than my mate. He possessed ethereal beauty. He was gleaming in the moonlight last night.' Alina thought and turned her head back to the table.

"Beta Lucas, what do you mean?" Atlas spoke in an angry tone. He did not like how the man went against his order and told everyone to talk.

"I meant it is not like there is an assembly going on here and no one can talk about anything. We are updated now; we are not the same as ten years ago," the young man said and sat on the right side of the head chair.

Atlas was furious with him but inquired about his son. "Where is your King?"

"He is sleeping. He can't join us at the table. So let's start eating."

Everyone was surprised that the king was still sleeping.

Alina somehow controlled her laugh and looked at Crystal, who was also shocked. She moved closer to her and whispered,

"Didn't you say your king is very punctual? What happens to him now?"

Crystal looked at her and said, "He caught wind of you. How can he even sleep this late today?" Crystal gave a sigh.

Alina chuckled and said,

"Looks like I am very effective for this pack and its people."
