Chapter 5 Arriving at Purple Crescent Moon

"It's ok Marisol, go ahead a shift and we will talk inside our palace." Lila was ecstatic to have her daughter home finally. She had waited 18 years for this day to come, and she wanted to reform the bond of mother and daughter.

Sol coaxed Marisol into taking over her body so she could shift back. Sol's emerald eyes glistened as the joy shone on her face.

"Luna Lila, can you please explain to me what is going on? I'm afraid something will happen to my mother Lacy. I know you tell me that you're my birth mother, but she is the only person in my life that has always been there for me. I've been left in the dark and I just want to understand what it is that is going on." Marisol was barely whispering.

She feared that her mother would see her as weak and never want her to be the queen she anticipated her to be.

"Marisol, I wanted to call you Bella, but since you don't recognize that name I will call you Princess Marisol. I want you to understand that no matter how you value your strength I know that you will be the reason we find peace amongst our clans. My wolf Vanessa has bestowed upon me her vision that is to come. Although I'm unsure how I inherited her as my other half. She was a Vampire in another life. This time she was reincarnated as a wolf to be able to bond our tribes together.

I understand that this is a lot to take in. We have plenty of time to train and go over the future that is to come. For now I want you to be able to know your people, and rest. I will have my Beta Lorraine bring you a satellite phone so you can contact your mother Lacy. There is one condition that I ask that you keep before you call her. Do not discuss with her who your true parents are. She cannot know her brother is your father, until the time is right. If not you will put her in danger. You must also not tell her that you are also a High Priestess of the Warlocks. This will only make things more difficult to hide who you are. The only people that know of your true father are loyal to me and my family for generations. But there are members in our pack that are against the change. I need to keep you safe. Do we understand each other Marisol? Give me your word on your honor, and know that breaking that word is like a betrayal that can never be corrected." Lila spoke with such determination and grace.

"Yes Luna, I agree with your terms and will not let her know of my lineage at this time. But when can I see her again, and when will she be safe" Marisol was anxious to know everything and move forward.

"Marisol I unfortunately don't have a timeframe for you. Just know that we have been working tirelessly to make your return home safe so that you can train. Most people believe that your Lycan father died and that he stole you years ago. So for now we will let them continue to believe you are nothing but a Lycan as I am." Lila words showed a hint of remorse and anguish.

Although she loved my father she couldn't be with him at this time. She also had to pretend that my true father was dead, so that I could be safe. My heart was beating erratically as the pain and anguish my mother was feeling was permeating my body. What was this powerful aurora I was feeling.

"I'm sorry Marisol I'll try to keep my emotions in check. Are you ready to speak with Lacy and begin your training and to meet your people?" Lila's face was elegant but cold. I could tell she had to bury her emotions so that no one would understand the truth of my nature.

"Yes I'm ready Luna. I'm not sure if I'm ready to call you mother yet. Can I just call you Luna or would you prefer Luna Lila? I'm ready to call Lacy so she doesn't worry about me. She will be calling Uncle Jay soon, because he's the only one that also cares for me. I'm glad that although I didn't know he was my father he has been there for me. I do have one question though. How do I train my magical powers? Will I need to train with my father?" Marisol was worried it would be too much for her. However she was ready for the challenge.

"Marisol at this moment you will not train your magical powers. I'm awaiting for your inheritance book to be delivered, but it will take some time. Unfortunately your father is away dealing with his counsel, and could not be near on your 18th birthday. So we planned for you to train with me first. He is making arrangements for your training as well, which will be very vigorous and mentally challenging. Beta Lorraine bring me the satellite phone. Marisol needs to contact her mother Lacy." Lila knew that she could never replace Lacy, but she hoped that Marisol would one day see her as a mother too. The anguish started building in her heart, but she buried it knowing this was the path that she was destined to follow.

"Yes Luna, here is the phone Marisol. Just dial the number and you will be connected, but your number will appear as unknown. Unfortunately you can't give out your number or we can be tracked." Beta Lorraine came running in with the phone as soon as the Luna called.
