Chapter 3 Luna Bella

As I followed the pack through the woods I felt the gentle grass between the pads of my feet. The scents that illuminated my senses had me feeling blissful in a new way. How had I never noticed the wonderful aroma behind my home? The speed that we traveled was new to me and I enjoyed it very much. I could get used to this, but I wasn't sure how to shift back to normal.

It felt as if we were running for almost an hour when I saw the wolves that surrounded my mother started to slow down. As I peered into the distance I heard the footsteps of several people coming in our direction. I stopped and perked my ears to see if I should be alarmed and run in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, all my life fear was instilled in me, and I couldn't just let go.

I heard a boisterous laugh in the distance, but I wasn't sure whom it was coming from. However, the smell of maple and cinnamon lingered in the air. It was so intoxicating that my mind started racing searching for what it was that called to me. At that moment I heard a voice in my head.

"Bella you and I finally meet. I'm Starlight your wolf. As you're sitting in your own mind I'm able to move around freely in your wolf form. I'm part of your other half. Because your father placed a block on your powers you weren't able to hear me before. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to protect you from the pain of shifting, and all the hatefulness of that town. I've been here all along suffering alongside you, and Sol. However, from here on out I will help you bare it. You will never be alone again. I find it humorous that as powerful as you are you thought you were weak. But it's ok because the three of us are now here together." Starlight muttered aloud in my mind.

As I thought of what she was talking about I saw a beautiful woman enter my mind. How was this possible and who was she? She smiled from ear to ear and sat down as a chair just appeared next to me. My mind was blown as I had no clue what was going on.

"Sols POV"

Bella sat there staring at me with those Sapphire eyes. I just laughed realizing that she didn't know that I existed within her as well. As I sat down the shock evident on her face was frozen. I felt the block in her when we were intertwined at her birth.

Starlight and I had become the best of friends hiding in the dark corner of her mind. Bella really did suffer a lot growing up. We had to stand there and bare it. So many times I wanted to pour my magic through her, but I remember our father's words.

"Protect my Bella from harm, but never allow your powers to forge through her before she turns 18. On her 18th birthday, we will come back to claim our daughter. There is a war raging and she will be our savior. If anyone finds her before she is strong enough, then they will slay my daughter. As she has inherited my gifts, Sol you are her magical powers. Grow with her and become strong because she will need your love and protection. At this moment until her 18th birthday, you and Starlight will be together watching over her.

I know this will be a difficult path, but always help her feel your love and compassion. Her Aunt Lacy will be there to guide her. Her Aunt can't know of your powers just yet. She is a mortal human and I don't want her getting hurt while trying to protect Bella. However, I have given Lacy the power to mask Bella's true nature. Until her 18th birthday, you will both hide. I love you my Bella, until the day I can announce you to the world, you shall be my niece. You are our Sun & Star that shall shatter the heavens and earth to end this war. I will always love you."

Well, I repeated those words to myself and Starlight over the years. Although we were total opposites, we loved Bella. Ironically Aunt Lacy named her Marisol, and Uncle Jay attempted to sway her. But she told him that she was like the intoxicating Sunflowers around their home when they grew up. And she was always right, although everyone envied Bella's beauty they hated her because she was always breathtaking. No one could compare to this beauty.

"Hi Bella, I'm Sol. I'm your other half as well. Starlight and I have watched from your mind and always shown you that we loved and cared for you. I'm sorry you couldn't hear our voices before. I'm your magical power of light and love. Starlight comes from your mother's side. She comes from a long line of Luna's from Purple Crescent Moon. Your mother is a Lycan and is the Lycan Queen over all wolves. But as you know your father bound all your powers to keep your true identity from being found." Sol smiled at me.

"Sol, I'm still lost as to what is going on. Who is my father, and why would he pretend to be my Uncle? Why couldn't he hide me at home with him or why couldn't I stay with my mother? Why has life been so unfair to me?" Bella sobbed silently as the tears fell from her eyes.

I myself always hated to see Bella cry. Each time it angered me and I wanted to retaliate against those bullies. But I was forced to be hidden, and couldn't do anything to them without risking her getting found out.

"Well honey, your father's true name is Josiah. He is the King of the Warlocks as you know, and it's forbidden to be with werewolves, Lycans, or vampires. Witches and Warlocks are the only race that values their pure bloodline over anything. About 1000 years ago, another King had a child with a vampire. He was a distant relative of Josiah. He fell in love with a beautiful Vampire from the Moreno Clan. They were ruthless and powerful vampires. When they found out that their Queen Jasmine had not only mated with a Warlock but produced an heir they were slaughtered. Queen Jasmine and her daughter were struck down with no remorse. Her mate was also assassinated. Although we live long lives their lives were cut short. Your father didn't want anything to happen to you or your mother. He loved you both so much. Josiah knew that history would repeat itself unless he hid you, and the only person he trusted was his baby sister Lacy. She has a heart of gold, and your mother was devastated the day she left you on that orphanage step. However, she knew keeping you close by would alert the other clans and they would be hunted. I'm truly sorry, but in all these years your parents never left your side. They unfortunately had to love you from afar." Sol put her head down realizing that as much love as they had for Bella. She still felt abandoned, and unfortunately, they did it out of love to save their daughter.

"Look I know it's a lot to take in, but you are the next Queen. We are here to train your mind and your physical abilities. You will continue to get stronger. Once you find your true mate your powers will continue to grow. It is said that the next hybrid queen will become immortal and stop all the future wars and genocides of all races." Sol was flustered knowing that Bella remained silent.

"I don't know if I can do this Sol. Maybe I'll just stay hidden in my mind forever and let you handle this for me. I'm just too scared to deal with all of this." Bella huffed as the fear set it.
