Chapter 6 Broken career

There were many times when someone asked Lucasta about this, but she deftly refused. Although it was clever, it was inevitable that some people hated Lucasta and pressed her.

"If I don't need it, I'll go." Clara took the money and left; even though she saw the wound on Lucasta's cheek and her bad mood, she still didn't care.

This successfully pissed off Athelstan's colossal fan base, and Lucasta fell victim to this incident. She was ostracized and called to remove from all projects, and no one agreed to cooperate with an audience rejected like Lucasta.

Lost is the phrase that describes Lucasta right now. Lucasta folded her legs and put her face down between her knees, and burst into tears, so tired that Lucasta slept in this position all night; waking up in the morning, her eyes were still wet. At times like these, she really wanted to find someone to confide in, but back in Lucasta she had no friends. Lucasta doesn't understand why she has always been isolated since she was very young; Lucasta really believes that she is a bad person who always brings disgust to others.

It was the darkest time Lucasta had ever experienced, she was sick for a week without anyone asking to see her even once, and she had to get up on her own to get something to eat; the next lay awakes all day.

About two weeks later, Lucasta sat in a fast food restaurant and looked at how little money she had in her wallet. She had only a few coins left, which was the only money Lucasta had left. Lucasta clearly remembers the evening of the day she was scolded, the first time Athelstan took the initiative to contact her; he said harsh words that she would never forget for the rest of her life. "I'm tired of your pretense Lucasta; get out of my life and don't show up again. If I ever see you get close to Fiona and hurt her again, I will definitely make you pay, this time just a warning."

And it seems that God heard her prayer when Clara took the initiative to ask about Lucasta's situation. "I've seen some bad news about you online, it must have been a very difficult time. I have some money left, if you don't have money come see me."

"You don't travel anymore? Where're you?" Lucasta asked excitedly.

"I'm at the restaurant near your place, I'll send the address and get here soon. I don't have much time." Clara coldly lost her patience.

"Yes, I'll be right there." Lucasta was happy; her joy was simple; she didn't care how badly Clara treated her. Just one sentence of her concern made her forget all the suffering she went through.

Soon after Clara's address was sent to Lucasta, Lucasta was quite surprised because it was one of the most lavish restaurants in London. Lucasta had never dared to set foot there, and Clara frequented it as often as her home.

Lucasta pulled her shirt up high and put on her scarf, pulling her hat down to cover half of her face. She had to do this because not to be noticed by Athelstan's fans; a few days ago, she was attacked by a bunch of Athelstan-crazed fans. It was the first time she felt so scared of the fans, their love for Athelstan was so great, and all of it turned into hatred when she saw Lucasta.
