When the guy grabbed me. Before he could do anything, the guy had already floated backward, and now I was also pushed quite hard backward by Marrel who looked so emotional.
Without saying anything, he immediately went forward and hit them one by one, even though there were four of them, but Marrel could handle it. I intended to run to Zion, but again a hand holding my shoulder wouldn't let me go there.
"The pheromones could hurt you."
I forgot about that because the pheromones did not affect me, I never cared about it. But this time was different, I became worried about my friend's safety. The man behind me didn't let me leave even though I wanted to run again.
Vivian looked behind her and found the person she wanted to meet right behind her.
"Stop that!" His voice was firm and soft to the ear. They all stopped, but not Marrel, so Xavier had to intervene himself.
"You.... were warned to be careful, if you cause any more trouble you will get a red card."
The seniors stopped, with equally angry faces they cursed and then left. Marrel looked at Zion who was already crouching down while covering his mouth.
"You there, please don't get too close to your friend, you're hurting him, let me take care of him, you and your friend stay outside and cool your heads first."
He was the Professor I had been looking for. But I wasn't happy at all. When I saw him carrying Zion to the infirmary, I felt angry that I was useless when my friend was in need, angry that I was thinking more about the fight without knowing how scared to death Zion felt.
Marrel's eyes then stopped on me.
"You! Why didn't you wait for me!" I gasped as Marrel's voice was so loud and full of emotion. I'd never seen her this angry in all the three years we'd been friends, and instead of being scared. I felt even more guilty.
"I told you to cool your heads, didn't I? You could hurt your friends if you get that emotional." Xavier warned, finally we both fell silent outside, Marrel keeping a considerable distance from me afraid that I would be hurt.
Both Marrel and I were silent.
Marrel was trying hard to contain her anger and stop the pheromones even though he knew I wouldn't be hurt by that.
"Why... didn't you wait for me?"
"... sorry it was my fault."
I don't know what to say and I don't deserve to make excuses either.
"You... hah never mind. You're okay, it's fine." Marrel leaned against the wall, she massaged her head
"I told you, my senses get dull when it comes to pheromones. Of course, Zion doesn't, right?"
He and I both fell silent again.
"Let's go to the clinic." I nodded.
We arrived inside the clinic and I could see into one of the cubicles, Zion was there. His face was flushed and his body felt very hot.
"Your friend is fine. He just needed to rest for a while and then went home."
"Prof. Xavier... thank you." Marrel bouwed, and so did I.
"No problem, next time please pay attention to your friend again."
I felt stunned by these words.
Xavier glanced at Marrel. "Did you contact his family?"
"I have. I've also ordered a taxi, I'll take her home directly."
"Are you sure?"
Marrel nodded. I've held back my emotions, I'll make sure she gets home safely. It's also... my fault for acting without thinking first."
"Me too."
"You stay here Vivian, I'll go there."
"But..."
"Follow your friend's words, he's right you should calm down too." But I was all right.
With Marrel's help, he carried Zion and carried his backpack as well, Vivian just watched them from the window, as the two people got into the taxi.
"Your friend will be fine, he just needs some rest."
Vivian did not answer, she was still looking out the window watching the two friends who had entered the taxi.
"You guys are very lucky, your friend is a good person. It's rare to see an Alpha able to control his pheromones that quickly."
"Well, he's very nice, he's a reliable theme."
They were silent for a while until Xavier patted Vivian's shoulder lightly with a smile.
"Are you alright? I have something to talk about with you."
****
"You must have heard about me from Beatrice. I need your help for the next semester to help me manage the class."
"Y-yes."
Vivian answered shakily, geez if she was told to face it again she would be nervous. But Xavier took Vivian's nervousness to mean something else.
"You don't have to worry about your friend, you should just ask someone else for help. The atmosphere there is not good for either of you."
"I'm not going to leave my friend."
"But you two ended up in trouble, didn't you?"
No. Vivian looked at Xavier she pointed at herself. "I won't get hurt being with the Alphas." That's because she was sick.
Xavier froze at those words.
"Is that so? Well... let's put it that way. But next time stay with your companion, either a parent or someone you can trust."
Vivian only replied with a smile, he must not believe what I said.
"Alright..."
"Are you okay?"
"Well, I'm fine. but... I feel bad about not being able to help Zion and protect him."
Xavier sighed as he lightly patted Vivian's head making her heart skip a beat.
"There's no need to be upset. I'll give them another punishment and warning, you have the right to be upset and angry but you don't have to be because it's all their fault for not being able to respect their surroundings. You're not weak, you're pretty strong aren't you?"
"T-thank you."
"It's good that you have calmed down, I am a lecturer and you are a,student here, so I will try to help my students who are in trouble. Ah, you can start helping me anytime, you must still be shocked not because of that incident-"
"No need! I can help you anytime even tomorrow I can go help!" I pounded the table with enough vigor to startle Xavier, well... at least his shocked face was still handsome.
"Err..." Xavier blinked his eyes in confusion at my attitude just now.
"Well you can help me, but not tomorrow, we'll start at the beginning of the week."
"Okay." I smiled at him.
It was already time for me to go home, but before that, there was something I needed to know first. "Prof... can I ask you something?".
"Sure," Prof answered with a light smile.
"Hmmm, Prof is... keeping my secret isn't it?"
Although I was happy, I had to confirm this first. I didn't want my place and home to be messed up because of my carelessness in carrying out the mission.
Professor Xavier tilted his head.
"Secret? What do you mean?"
"Eh? You... forgot?" Vivian surprised.
"No, I didn't forget. I should thank you instead."
I flipped my mind back to a month ago, what did they do that he should thank- Ah!
"Thank you for taking care of you when I was drunk that time."
I returned it with a small smile. He kept his promise to me. I was very happy.
"Yes! Next time please don't get too drunk!"
