Chapter 6 WHITE WOLF.

Rowan.

Leon and l rushed to Jaylene's side, his face was already fretting agonisingly, he was already moving his legs uncomfortably and l could clearly hear the crackling of his bones.

"He is going to shift soon, Rowan, " Leon warned, l became so helpless and overwhelmed by my thought yet again.

"You are not waiting for him to start howling right? Rowan? Elias gets the key immediately, " Leon said.

"Jaylene don't fight it, l'm here for you, " l said, holding onto Jaylene wrists and ignoring whatever Leon is saying or what is going on around, l just want my Mate to be safe, this experience he is about to get is one he might make it alive or he might die or go rogue, the Goddess forbids that.

"It will take five to six hours before he can shift completely, " Leon said as Elias threw the key to him.

"We need to take him there now, Rowan, move aside," Leon said, ``I'm hesitant to lock my Mate in a dungeon, he hasn't done anything wrong, why does my life really choose the wrong things.

"Alpha Rowan, please? " Elias begged.

I could feel the frustrating feeling of these two, there are my Betas, and there are right, l should man up, I'm still going to die early anyway, l don't know what punishment the Moon Goddess will pass on me until then l can keep a good image in front of my Pack people.

I shut my eyes tightly and took a deep breath, whatever was meant to happen will surely happen, l took a step back as l nodded in agreement to Elias.

"You should stay here, for now, allow him to want you or else you are doomed," Leon said walking away with Jaylene on his back.

"I'm taking this risk for you, don't cause further troubles, Alpha," Let's go Elias."

I stood quietly as they both walked away, l understand every bit of what Leon means, if Jaylene survives this he is meant to yearn for my touch as his Mate, he won't see me as a threat.

I waited impatiently for answers and results, my heart was beating like a tampered trampoline, and l could barely take a seat. Everything Jaylene sees while he is shifting will be a threat to him, especially if he sees me there, he will become feral and annoyed.

I would walk out to the main entrance but get back as the rain has no signs of stopping, that was the only possible excuse l could give myself.

The daylight had emerged beautifully, yet it was eerily gloomy as the downpour continued, seven hours later Leon and Elias came back drenched and tired, Leon had his shirt whipped and his skin had claws Mark on them.

"What is going on?" I asked gazing at every corner of their faces for sincere answers.

"Your Mate shifted into a white wolf and you know what that means right?" Leon said.

" Don't you think that is good news? "I said, Jaylene shifted into the Arctic Wolf, which means that Jaylene is not a problematic wolf or a destructive one, but a pure and simple one who signifies freedom to all our kind.

" Alpha, don't forget one hasn't been born in the past 300 hundred years, and he was bitten to it. He is not a born wolf. What part of good news are we talking about again?"

" And the White Wolves have always been the descendants of the first Omega wolf, they are peaceful yet one hasn't been born in our generations" Elias added.

"Omega wolves are cursed by our forefathers in our Pack, he might be a destructive type but definitely not a type to keep, its history is not warm enough for us to embrace it with open arms," Leon said.

"I don't believe you both, l will go see him myself."

I grabbed the key that Elias threw at me and ran out, immediately l got to the door and a sudden realisation of how inconsiderate l am, pried to my head, I didn't think of bringing food or drinks to him

I gave out a long sigh as the sweet scent of fresh lilies serve my nose, l clicked the door open slowly, I'm still uncertain how he will react to this, so l sparked the fire to the pot lantern to light up the alley down to the next corner as Jaylene was tied in silver chains, his legs and arms which are obviously bleeding from the silver irritation, he is still in his wolf form, He is so beautiful," l murmured sincerely as a smile slightly emerges on my lips.

My heartfelt satisfaction and contentment, My mate is the most beautiful and delighting one, my most precious gift, "la mia metà migliore, My better half.''

I hope he will learn to understand me, l will never see him as a curse, his white furs are a rare glamour, and l can't care less if he is a descendent of an Omega.

The rattle sound of chains snapped me out of my thought and my eyes came in contact with his eyes, goosebumps decked on my entire body and my heart began thumping usually, l gulped on my dry throat as l couldn't break our stares at each other, he didn't howl or whined, he just laid there looking at me.

I wiped off the sweat on my palm on my trouser as l rushed to get the chains off his hands, l wasn't thinking at all, and l thought he was finally calm and relaxed, immediately the chains dropped to the ground, and he quickly surged to wrap my neck with his claws piercing them in my skin.

I groaned silently heaving his hands off me, l held his wrist tightly as he kept struggling, nobody has ever dared hurt me this close, getting his hands off me was a piece of cake, l would have just dodged nicely, l don't know what l was thinking, My mate is the last person l want to fight, and I'm moreover I'm an Alpha, l would be abusing my power.

" l was only helping, yet he hurt me in return?" I said, still holding onto his wrist as he kept wailing out restlessly.

"Jaylene, listen to me, I'm not going to hurt you, look at your skin it is hurting, if you act like this, l won't have a choice but to tie it back," I said, still locking eyes with him so he can feel all my sincerity.

"Jaylene, how do you feel now? You can tell me, I'm the only one who can help you, you are safe now, just say something to me, please?" I muttered patiently still holding onto his hands as l could feel relaxed slowly, he actually listened to me.

"Who are you?" He whispered as he leaned languidly against my shoulder.
