A week after Amira graduated from high college. Three weeks later after her graduation, she moves out of the house to leave with Oscar because of Sara's brutality and abuse. Everything was perfect at first as they do hand out together. Going to places.
Amira starts experiencing a new life with her fiance Oscar. But sooner than later, they start having trouble as she doesn't like Oscar's friends. They are too rowdy. It makes her feel uncomfortable and suspicious on Oscar because they're too violent smoking and clubbing every given time.
She tried to stop Oscar from hanging around with an unscrupulous gangster he called friends. It becomes a burden to Amira as she's always at home while Oscar hangs around with his group of friends. A few minutes later, Oscar walks in.
"Where is my baby? Am here darling." He said. Amira was in the kitchen washing the dishes when Oscar walk in.
She sigh hastily and fold her arms watching him staggering with his feet as he was literally drunk.
"You left me for almost 6 hours just to be with your friends. Am ain't comfortable staying alone while you're out there with those lunatic you called friends" Amira said with a smirk on her face.
"I'm sorry Amira. Am here now." Oscar said winking at her seductively.
"Baby, we are getting married soon. Don't you think is time to let go of your friends?." She asks while frowning.
"Don't worry darling. Everything is fine, please don't bother yourself about my friends." He retorted.
"But am ain't comfortable seen you around these guys. They're gangsters. Please let go of them and look for a job and stop depending on your parents. You have a degree in Business management. Don't you think you have no business hanging around with people who can't manage their lives properly?" She ask and her face soared.
"You don't know how important it is for me to belong to this group." He said while smiling.
Whenever Amira brings up this issue he gets annoyed and, he called it "girl's rants.
Sooner than later. Amira got tired and the relationship was only 10 months old. She thought of going back to her father's house, but Amira can't go back to her father's house. Because of that, her feelings grow stronger every day, despite Oscar's lavished life moving around with his friends. He cares more about Amira's well-been, as she lacks nothing in the house, but Amira ain't comfortable with him and his associates as he hardly has time for her.
'What should I do? Should I break up with him?'
She thought about breaking up with Oscar as series of contemplation was flowing in her head. While she was in the kitchen and a knock came on the door.
"Hi" Freya announced. Amira was happy to see Freya.
"You're welcome, Freya. Please there's something I need to share with you." She said.
"Hey, I'm ain't here to talk about your parents." Freya sparked anguishedly.
"Stop, please. It's about Oscar and his associates." Amira said.
"I know about that, but Oscar seems serious with his friend. I believe there's something he ain't telling you about his friends." Freya said while observing her nails.
"I think I'd break up with him since he values his associates more than me. Cause, I left my parent's house just to be serious with him, but Oscar barely has my time." She said
"I don't advise you to break up with him Amira, but if that's the best. You have my support." Freya announced.
A few hours later Oscar walks in staggering with a bottle of whisky.
"I have to be on my way now. Take things easy with him and be happy. See you around tomorrow." Freya announced the moment Oscar walk in.
"Hello, baby. Am here my love, I know you missed me a lot." He announced
"Where have you been Oscar?" She asks
"I know you're mad at me Ami, but am here now baby." He said winking at her.
Immediately Amira fared up and slammed her palms on the table with a smirk on her face.
"Oscar, you see, I don't see the point in us dating if you think having a squad and spending all your time with your jobless associates is more important than me because am tired. Something has to be done. It's over between us. Enjoy the rest of your life with your squad." She said abruptly while tears were rolling down her eyes.
"Wait a moment. Are you breaking up with me?" Oscar asks in surprise.
Oscar thought she was joking, the following morning he went out with his squad again, but before he returns, Amira have moved out of the house to stay with Freya's household, rather than her abusive parents. They accepted her wholeheartedly.
Three days later, Eric, Oscar's best friend came knocking asking after Amira. Eric is the right-hand man of Oscar. She was stunned to see him.
"Am surprised to see you, Eric. Who told you I was here?" She asks.
"Sorry to interfere, but Oscar has not been himself since you left the house. He's suffering as you're no longer in his life. Please forgive him and take him back." He said abruptly and Amira was surprised and lost for words.
"You came bearing Oscar's apology. Why can't he come himself?" She asks
"Yea, we plan coming together, but man is not feeling well since you left the house. On behalf of him, I beg you to go back to him." He said
"Can I confide in you?" She asked hastily and Eric nodded in affirmation without mumbling a word.
"I love Oscar with everything in me but my problem is you guys. He's so in love with you guys that he doesn't mind losing me as far as you guys are around. If I would come back into the relationship, you guys have to stay back. Give us space to explore what we are building. If not, we'll always have this fight." She said.
"Oscar is the only one who has a serious girlfriend in the squad. We'll do our best and get serious girlfriends so we'd leave him alone." Eric said hastily.
"I love Oscar very much Eric, but if this escalates more, I won't be able to tolerate him." She said while frowning.
"I understand but come to think of it. If you were my girlfriend, I wouldn't have time for the squad like Oscar does. Which man will have you and still get time for a squad?" Eric said.
There was a pause, as Amira couldn't say. She was surprised.
'From what Eric said. I don't think Oscar valued my presence in the house but despite that. My love for him is still intact. Nothing has changed from my craves to have him.' She thought to herself.
After every argument with Oscar, Eric always comes around with a balm to soothe the pain and set things right.
Oscar is the first man in Amira's life, so she went back to the house but sooner than later Oscar never quit foundering with his jobless associates. If it wasn't about his drinking ways, it was about the way his wasting his life around his jobless associates
Slowly, Eric became a very good friend to Amira. Apart from the fact that he was always fixing their problems, he was also there for her whenever Oscar got angry and stayed away from the house. Eric always comes around to keep her company.
Few minutes after Amira arrives. Oscar was asleep cuddling her photo. He stood up hastily the moment Amira stepped in and he embrace her without mumbling a word.
They held each other so tightly for some minutes sobbing, with no one to console them.
"Am sorry for everything Ami. I never thought you could abandon me because of my friends, but am sorry." He said nicely and his voice was calm.
"Your friends are breaking us apart baby. It's either me or them." She said and her face was nasty.
"Anything for you baby. Anything you said." He gestures to her nicely.
"Alright, can you get a job with your degree and put your life in order? Because I don't like you depending on your parents while you can get a good job with ya degree" She said
They had dated for a year and within those periods of time. Oscar had done over six different jobs. He would work for a couple of months and tell Amira
"I hate the boss. He's always talking down at me." Sometimes he'll stop working because he felt the organization didn't deserve someone like him.
"I'm too intelligent to be working with them. I will find a new job." He said.
Amira struggles a little bit as things turn out bad, and she plans to break up with Oscar. But she got pregnant along the line.
