Chapter 4 AN ENCOUNTER

Wondering what else he got to say. Maybe he deserves another spank from me. [Ok but not at your place.] He text me an address. " Mom , I need to go....somewhere" I tell her,

"maybe we can have dinner together?"

"Sure!" Mom's face light up.

"You need a car? Or I can drive you myself." I don't want her to spoil me with my stepfather's money. So I take the bus. An hour later, I find myself in Boston's bustling and extravagant mall and I immediately realize Kai's plan. Whenever we have a fight, he'd take me to a fancy restaurant where waiters wears black ties and pulls out the chair for you. I lost my temper once in a restaurant like this, and have the most awkward conversation with the manager.

So I tried my best to hold my anger in that kind of an environment. Kai knows my weakness and he uses it against me at every given opportunity, whenever he needs my forgiveness. If I never caught him cheating, it'd probably take longer for me to realize he is such a condescending, manipulative jerk. I lift my head, puff out my chest and walk into the restaurant.

The waiter leads me to our table. Kai's already sitting there. His face expression all normal, not even a sign of guilt in him. He stands up to greet me , but I ignore him. He passes me the menu. " you must be hungry, let's order first."

"No!" I say sternly, " if you have nothing to voice out, then I'm leaving." He throbs for a second and let out a heavy sign. He crosses his fingers together and place them on the table, trying to look sincere.

"Nyla, last night was an error." He says it's just a one-time- thing , its never happened before I swear. I'm so sorry. I just really miss you and when you're not around, it's hard on me."

" You miss me so much that you had to Fuck another ass?" I echoed! He frowns up my words.

"Nyla no! Look, I was drunk alright? I'd never do this with a blare mind ." Trying to blame the alcohol? I can sense fury building inside my body.

" Just say what you want."

" I want you." He reaches out and try to grab my hand , "I don't want us to break up please! I made a stupid mistake. But could you please move to Boston? Your mother and stepfather are based here anyway. Long distant is too hard and everything will be alright once we are together." I chortle maybe a little too loud. People turn around and look at us.

"Do not blame distance and wine. You cheated on me because you want to mess with other women. Even if I move back you will still cheat . Nothing will ever change." I know this because this is how my parents got divorced. Kai seems affronted.

"Oh so you are the saint now? Maybe I sleep with others because my girlfriend can't satisfy me. Ever think of that?" What did he say? What's he even talking about? This his language isn't clear and it's not going to have any positive impact in me! I thought to myself. I skip up from my seat , chair scratches the hardwood floor making a screeching noise. Now everyone in the restaurant is looking. I glower at Kai, breath quickening, just when I'm about to shout back, he stands up as well.

"Nyla." He warns, "be civil. Don't forget where we are at!" I can feel people staring and whispering all around the room. I'm totally causing a scene. Then I hear footsteps approaching me from behind. I wince in fear that it might be the manager, but suddenly I'm pulled into a muscled chest and immersed in that wonderful smell of mint and oak again. I look up and find Eric standing by my side.

His dressed in a casual white t-shirt and jeans but he still gives up an aura of superiority. I can sense all the ladies in the restaurant are quietly checking on him. " Hey there!" He reveals a friendly smile and offers his hand.

"Nyla's boyfriend right ?" " I don't think we have met before. Eric Demirexas. Nyla's boyfriend." Kai is disoriented but he leans in anyway to shake hand with Eric. The next second, Eric's hand falls . He arbitrarily grasp the water on the table and blurt out the entire glass right onto Kai's face. My fa- I clip my hands over my mouth to stop myself from screaming. Gasp and sharp inhales coming from every corner of the restaurant. Kai is beyond shock. He freezes, as water drip down his hair and forehead. He slowly looks up and seems still can't believe what has just happened.

Eric is probably the only person not freaking out. He calmly placed the the glass down and smile at Kai. "Its suits you." " Are you fucking insane?" Kai shouts. He points at Eric and then direct at me,

"who the hell is this guy Nyla? What's the matter with_?" I don't know what to do at this point, I'm in a state of Dilemma and everyone is staring at us, I'm regretting why I came here to meet Kai in the first place! I shouldn't have come here! I thought I will be the one to cause a fight here but no I'm not the reason here! I don't know why this is happening!

I can't tell if they know each other somewhere, I can't think straight actually and this is fucking me up! Why will Eric mess his face with water? I know I should be happy to see kai hurt but why will Eric do this? Rhetorical questions fill my mind and I doubt my strength at this moment! I don't think anything I say now will calm the tension between the two guys!
