Chapter 2 MY MALEVOLENT BROTHER

I stare at him angrily and boom through my clutch tooth, never, ever, call me a baby! You repellent cheating blockhead.

I spank him, so hard across the face that his head almost knocks on the doorframe. Before he realizes what happened, I turn my heel and stalk away.

I rush out of the building and suddenly notice it's streaming outside. I want to head back, but the way in is bolt. Great job, Nyla. You have just shut yourself in the rain.

"Fuck..." I dry the rain off my face and take out my phone. I wish to call someone.

The top one and the two person on my contact list are Mia and daddy, none of whom supported my idea of coming here in the first place.

The last thing I need right now is another "you should have" lecture. I scroll down my contact list while my shudder in the rain. Suddenly my finger stops at someone's name.

I've never thought of getting in touch with this person...but I am exhausted and soaking wet and have no place to go to. What better idea do I have left? An hour later, my cab pulls over in front a townhouse. This is the most distinguished area in the city.

You gotta have both the money and the power to be part of this community. Now as I unbolt the travelers door, someone rushes over and opens an umbrella for me.

"My God! What happened? You are soaked! Why can't you give me a call and let me pick you up at the landing strip?" I let her drag me into the house.

" mom I'm alright.... I'm probably just here for a night." "What are you talking about?" Her tone echoes," Aren't you here to_" I'm not here to visit you mother." I tell her down-to-earth.

"Oh." The smile on her face dies, as she ruffles a lock of hair to the back of her ear, evidently sheepish.

My mother is undeniably stunning. She's well aware of her physical enchantment, probably reasons she left my father years ago and threw herself right into the hands of a billionaire.

I look like her a lot, like looking into the mirror. Kai once said he fell for me instantly the very first time he set his eyes on me and he compliment me all the time about how attractive

I look.

But I do not care that much about my appearance. And as its turns out, a fetching face is not enough to hold on to a cheating soul. Viewing the unpleasant look on mom's face, I already regretted my earlier decision.

"Are...mr Gabriel and Eric home? If this is not a perfect time, I can easily get a room at the hotel."

"No way!" Said my mom quickly, "Gabriel is away for a business trip while Eric is staying at his penthouse. You can stay in his room tonight. Come I will show you."

So my stepbrother has a penthouse. Why am I not staggered? Eric's old room is on the first floor, third door to the left. When mom opens his bedroom door for me, straight away it's like the clock has turned back. Everything is the same as I recalled it.

Posters on the wall, his glint at the Conner, and a glass cabinet displaying all his activity collection. Eric loves to collect uncanny and funny stuffs when he travels abroad. All his collection are shockingly expensive.

One day I wanted to use a teacup in his collection to drink water, and he told me this apparently normal teacup is actually passed down from Victoria Era and worth thousands of dollars.

It shocked the junk out of me. But he just chuckled and flings me the teacup like it's no big deal, saying I can have anything that I want. Unwieldy as it is between my mom and I, I do miss Eric. "

I always keep his room neat and clean incase he wants to stay the night." But if you are not comfortable staying in his room, you please give me half-an-hour, I'll get the guest room ready for you!" I cut her off.

No that's fine" She Closing my eyes, I can still hear Kai striking her and both of them bay in delight. That makes my stomach whirl with loathing. I slide into Eric's bed, pulling up the bedsheets to cover my head. His bedcovers smells like money factory and wood sides. A smell that quickly soothes me .

I creep deeper into the bed, immerse myself into the warmth. Its almost feels like someone is holding me.

Too bad! Eric isn't here. Even though we haven't spoken to each other for three years, I can really use some company right now... I cry myself into sleep. When the morning sunshine falls in through the window, the headache like a chainsaw slicing my scalp apart.

"Ugh..." I groan. I'm desperately in need of a cold shower. Eric's convenient is perfectly clean, and it does not even have a bottle of shampoo or conditioner.

I wonder how long he hasn't come around. I turn on the shower and wince at the ice colder water running down my skin but this is just what I need to clear my head. But then, its occur to me, I left my backpack and clean clothes outside and there's not even a towel for me to cover my body. Of course,

I do not feel at ease moving around naked in my stepbrother's bedroom. But he is not around and I should be fine.

I split the door open, making sure nobody is outside, and I quickly slip out. Mom kept my backpack in the closet last night.

Now as I yank the closet door open and pull out the backpack strap, a box is knocked off and falls to the floor. "What the_" I look down and heave. It's a box of sheath.

Funny how his bedroom dose not even own a towel but has a full box of condoms in storage. And the next second, the bedroom door flies open.

I wrench around and scream at the sight of the strange young man standing beside the door.
