Chapter 5 Borrow A Car

Siena immediately fell silent like a statue when her mother said it in front of her entire family including her husband. Unbeknownst to Siena, her husband was standing in front of her.

Maks heard what his mother in law said. His heart felt like it was being stabbed by a hot dagger. Very sore. His mother-in-law would have the heart to separate him from his wife.

Mrs.Kev saw Maks standing in front of her youngest daughter. "It's a coincidence that you're here. I'm going to introduce you to a rich man who turns out to like your wife. Look at him very successful, unlike you who do not have any capital to build a household with my youngest daughter. If my husband didn't approve of you, maybe you wouldn't be Siena's husband right now and make her life miserable. Far behind from her sister."

Maks glanced at Gaston. Then, his gaze turned to his mother in law. "I promise to provide my wife with material things, Mom. There will be a lon time."

Everyone burst out laughing at Maks' words.

"Hey, Maks. Don't dream too high. Your destiny is already poor," said Uncle Brew.

"That's right. You're just a street sweeper. How can you make my nephew happy with material things," said Aunt Brew, condescending to Maks as her husband did.

"Stop it! You've had enough of humiliating my husband," shouted Siena. Everyone in the room fell silent.

Siena looked at Gaston. "For you, Gaston. Thank you for this gift and your congratulations. If you came here just to get my mother's attention so you can marry me, I'm sorry I can't do that. I already have a husband. And I love him very much whatever his current condition."

Siena said that firmly. Gaston was silent.

Siena took her husband back into their room. Upon reaching the room, Siena burst into tears.

"Honey, don't cry." Maks tries to stop his wife from crying.

"I'm so tired of you being looked down upon by all of them, Maks. Don't you feel angry and resentful?" Siena cried while asking her husband.

"I sometimes get annoyed as a human being. But, what can you do? I realized that what they said was true. I am poor and have nothing. So, why am I angry with them if what they say is true," said Maks. He looked at Siena gently.

Siena was still sobbing. "But they've gone too far, Honey."

Maks immediately hugged his wife. He understood what Siena was feeling right now. However, he felt that the cause was him. "I apologize to you. You are here because of me. If only I was not poor, surely they would not look down on me. Sorry."

Siena let go of her husband's arms. She wiped his tears with both hands. "Not your fault. We are destined to be married. It's all the fault of those who have no sense of humanity."

Maks was silent for a moment. He remembered the stranger. Maks immediately asked his wife. "Who is the foreign man sitting next to mother?"

Before answering, Siena took a tissue that was on the nightstand to wipe the remaining tears from her eyes. Then her mouth moved to answer her husband's question. "He's Gaston. Son of the Mayor."

"Is it true that he will marry you?" Maks asked doubtfully.

Siena shook her head. "I'm sure that won't happen, Honey. I will not leave you."

"B-but, mother said so." Maks sounds again to make sure.

"That's just what mother wants. Not my will. Mother won't be able to take care of our divorce if we both don't want it," explained Siena trying to convince her husband.

Maks was silent even though he was afraid if it happened.

"The man admitted that we went to the same school. He said that he had had feelings for me for a long time. But, only now he appeared and came to my house. Even went to my mother and told her that she loved me. Weird! If he had liked me for a long time, he should have come a long time ago. Not when I'm already married like this," explained Siena starting to suspect.

"So why do you think he's only coming now?" Maks asked.

"I think someone ordered him to intentionally destroy our household." Siena answered confidently. Her eyes were looking straight ahead.

Maks frowned. He didn't expect his wife to say such a thing. "W-who, Honey?"

Siena shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know who. It's definitely in our family."

"We have to be careful," added Siena while looking at her husband.

Maks nodded his head.

That night, Siena woke up from her sleep because her baby was crying. Maks also wakes up.

"Why is she crying, Honey?" Maks asked his wife. Both of them looked panicked. The reason is, this is the first time their baby has slept in this house after coming home from the hospital yesterday.

Siena shook her head. "I don't know. She doesn't usually cry this loudly." She took the baby and held her so that the baby would stop crying.

Maks also stepped in to help stop their baby from crying.

"Is he crying because we haven't given him a name?" Maks guess. While Siena shook her head.

Maks accidentally grabbed their baby's forehead. He was surprised.

"Honey, it looks like she has a fever. Her forehead is very hot," Maks told Siena.

Siena put her palm to her daughter's forehead. "Y-yes, Honey. How's it going? It's so midnight." She looked at the clock on the wall, it was 1 pm.

"Calm down! I'll lend you a car to take our daughter to the hospital," said Maks. The man stepped out of the house. He plans to borrow a car from his sister in law.

After he came out of his room door, Hera who was still wearing pajamas walking towards Maks.

"Hey, can you shut up your baby? The sound of her crying really bothers me!" said Hera with an angry face to Maks. Luckily their rooms are next door. So, the sound of Siena and Mak's baby crying was heard in her ears.

"S-sorry, Hera. Our baby is sick. It looks like she has a high fever," Maks informed.

"It is not my business! Shut up your baby. It really disturbs my rest and also my husband. Even my son," said Hera again with a face that was still annoyed.

"Siena!! Silence your baby immediately. Her voice makes me unable to sleep," Hera shouted to Siena who was in her room.

Siena heard her sister's voice. However, she didn't respond even though she was annoyed to hear that her second sister couldn't understand her situation. Siena is still busy keeping her baby quiet

Hera looked annoyed at Maks. After that she turned around to go back into the room. However, Maks called her and said something. "Hera, can I borrow your car to take my baby to the hospital right now?"

Hera's steps stopped. She turned back to Maks.
