THE ELEGANT REVENGE OF BILLIONAIRE

In an elite residence, the death flag is still stuck in front of the gate. People started leaving the funeral home to back at their home. Meanwhile, there was still noise inside.

"What are you saying? You want to borrow my money?" Snapped a middle aged woman to Maks-husband of her youngest daughter. Her voice boomed through the house until all her children and grandchildren ran to witness her anger.

"Yes, Mom. I promise at the end of the month I will back it to you," said Maks. There is no other way except to borrow money from his mother in law. Because he just have time until this afternoon to pay hospital bills. Otherwise, his wife and baby will not be able to return home.

Mrs.Kev growled with an angry face. "You has no empathy! My husband died yesterday, and I'm still in a state of mourning. But you've provoked me today. You embarrassed me in front of all my family!"

Mr. Asraf Kev, Maks' kind father in law is gone forever. It certainly leaves a deep sorrow for the Kev family, especially for Maks and Siena. Because, the only person who is always kind and defends both of them is Mr. Kev. In fact, thanks to him Maks and Siena were allowed to stay at the Kev family's house since Maks was dismissed by the company due to the pandemic.

"You are fuck! You really have no shame. Instead of giving your father in law a condolence flower board, but you want to borrow money from him," said Uncle Brew. Mrs. Kev's sister in law is a parasite in the Kev family. But, he is one who excels at demeaning Maks when the opportunity arises.

"My husband is right, Maks! You see outside the house, rows of beautifully arranged condolence flower boards from all of Kev's son in law. They use the name of their company and business. But only you son in law doesn't do that!" said a woman who is the wife of Uncle Brew.

"How could he do the same as them if he was just a street sweeper. HAHA!" Flo laughing mockingly at Maks. Meanwhile, Maks just silently looked down at his mother in law's feet. For him, it was normal to be despised and humiliated by all of them.

Hera, who is none other than Siena's second sister also sneered at Maks disdainfully, "That's right! He didn't have any business or property to be proud of. After all, he clearly couldn't afford the flower board. He is so poor!".

If it does not for an urgent matter like this, Maks would not have dare to borrow money from his mother in law. He thought that his mother in law would give him a loan without getting angry, because this money was for his biological daughter and grandchildren too. But in fact, Mrs. Kev still insisted on rejecting Maks request.

Flo-the eldest daughter of the Kev family said arrogantly. "Yesterday, my father was still defending you. But from now on, no one will be your helper anymore. Unlike you, you can't even afford to pay for your wife's delivery," said Joddy, the first son in law of the Kev Family, with a condescending voice for Maks.

The living room where the Kev family gathered was busy at the moment. They replied to each other to insult Maks. No one was on his side. In fact, to ask about the condition of Siena and her baby, no one made a sound. Mak's wife has been in the hospital for three days risking her life for their baby.

Maks stood up, he realized that his presence here to borrow money was a waste. "Sorry if what I did made you angry and embarrassed, Mom. I will back at hospital," said Maks and stepped out to leave.

Maks stopped his steps and turned back to the source of the sound.

Kenan's words to Maks made everyone in the room laugh out loud. This annoyed Maks, but he does not dare to show it.

Maks continued his footsteps and chose not to accept the offer from his second brother in law's husband. He would rather earn his money in other ways than to work like a dog licking his master's paw.

Maks arrives at the hospital. The 30 year old man immediately goes to the administration to ask for an extension of time to pay for his wife's delivery costs. Because, he has not managed to get the money.

A young woman in an all white uniform greeted him and asked, "Can I help you, Sir?"

"I'm Maks Rostitlav, husband of Siena Kev. I want to ask for an extension of the time to pay until tomorrow," said Mak pleadingly.

The young woman immediately check the data that Maks mentioned on her computer. "Sorry, Sir. None of your arrears have to be paid. Someone paid for it today."

Maks furrowed his brows in surprise.

"How could that be?" He asked himself.

Instead of being haunted by curiosity, Maks decides to ask the administrative officer. "Miss, do you know who has paid it?"

The young woman looked at her computer screen again. After getting a name she replied, "Here is an account in the name of Mr. Rocky."

Mak's brow furrowed. In his heart he said, "Why did he do this to me?"

Maks rushed into the room where his wife was being treated. Siena was already sitting on the patient bed holding her baby. She was ready to return home.

Siena stared at the open door. In the doorway her husband stood.

Maks felt sorry for his wife's puffy eyes. Because, Siena all night wept for the departure of her father, Mr.Kev. She longed to see her father's last face. However, the hospital did not allow her to go home before all delivery costs were paid off. Kev's family was not there to help them. Siena was deeply saddened.

"Honey?" called Siena softly to her husband.

Maks slowly stepped towards his wife and baby. He kissed Siena's forehead and also their little daughter

"Last hour, old man came to see me. He claimed that he was your father," Siena told Maks.

Maks pulled the chair behind him to bring him closer to Siena. Then, he put his ass there.

"What did he tell you?" Maks asked. He looked at Siena's face.

"He misses you," Siena replied curtly. She looked back at Maks.

Maks was silent for a moment. He still didn't expect that the old man would come looking for him after he had sworn not to think of Maka as his son a few years ago.

"Why didn't you tell me you still have a father, Maks?" Siena asked her husband. Because, all this time, Maks admitted that he no longer had parents and he lived alone.

Maks was still silent as he stared blankly ahead. He didn't know how to explain it to Siena.

"Why, Maks? You lied to me?" Siena asked again.

Maks exhaled with a huff. "Honey, this is not the time to be discussing this. Let's go home first."

"What's wrong if you explain it right now? Why do you want to hurry home? Isn't my family waiting for me?" Siena's eyes filled with tears.

Maks is silent. He felt sorry to see his wife sad.

"Y-yes. Your mother is waiting," Maks lied to make Siena happy and excited to go home.

Siena wiped her tears that fell down her cheeks.

"When we get home, I will explain everything to you," said Mak reassuring Siena.

Finally, they returned home with their baby.

Maks and Siena reach the Kev family's house. Condolence flower boards are still lined along the gate. Siena, who was holding her baby, joined hands with her husband to enter the house.

The door was open. It appears in the main room all the Kev family have gathered. Maks and Siena stepped in to enter. All eyes in the room pointing of both.

"Finally, you won't have to borrow money from your mother in law to bring your wife home!" Mrs.Kev spoke to Maks. She glanced sarcastically at Maks and Siena.

"Mom, my husband is still capable of payingit." Siena replied to her mother's words.

Aunt Brew and everyone present laughed at Siena's words.

"Hey, Siena! Don't you know what your husband did yesterday after your Dad left? He bravely went to my mother to borrow money! He said he would use the money to pay for your birth," explained Hera. Siena's cocky second sister.

Siena was silent. She didn't know that Maks was looking for money by borrowing from her mother.

However, with courage she answered the words of her second sister who acted very arrogantly. "So what? My husband only intends to borrow. Not stealing!"

"The problem that he borrowed it when we were all still mourning dad's passing!" said Flo-the eldest sister from Siena.

"If Dad knew what you were up to that didn't help us, he'd be furious with you!" Siena firmly.

"Enough! I don't want to hear the fuss today." Mrs.Kev ended the argument between the three daughters. Then, her eyes turned to her youngest daughter. "Siena! Today is the day of reading the inheritance that your father gave to the three of you. If you want to get it, you must join us here waiting for the lawyer to come."

Siena smiled brightly and gave honest look to her mother. "Mom, don't you want to see your granddaugther?" She glanced at the baby in her arms.

Mrs.Kev replied with a face without a smile. "No. I don't think of him as my granddaughter because it is the flesh and blood of a man who comes from a poor family!" Her eyes glanced briefly at Maks.

Siena's heart seemed to be stabbed by a thousand daggers. Her tears instantly fell down her cheeks. She did not think that his own biological mother could not think of her granddaughter. She lowered her head as she looked sadly at the baby in her arms.

Siena was not only offended by Mrs.Kev's words. Maks feels that way too. However, he did not dare to go against his mother in law's words.

Maksput his arm around Siena to lead her into their room. All the family is whispering them as the poorest son and daughter in law in the Kev family.

Siena put the baby on the bed. Then, he hugged Maks tightly.

"Dad is gone. They will run rampant to insult us," said Siena in tears while still hugging Maks.

Maks stroked his wife's head gently. He knew that his life with his wife in this house without his father in law would not be what it used to be. Because, all the Kev family no one likes him except Mr.Kev.

"Don't be sad. I am always beside you. Now, you have to join them there. Soon, our father's lawyer will arrive," said Mak reassuring his wife.

The man let go of his wife's embrace and wiped Siena's tears.

"You think I should join them?" Siena asked her husband.

Maks nodded his head. "Yes. Your father must have told you to join in the division of the treasure. You must be there."

Siena stared for a moment at her baby who was still fast asleep. Then, she looked at her husband. "Okay." Siena stepped out of the room to join the Kev family in the living room.

A man wearing glasses and well groomed had joined them there as well. He is Sony, Mr.Kev's lawyer and confidant who will pass on the will of inheritance.

"Hm." Sony cleared his throat for a moment when he sat in front of the Kev family.

"I will to tell you all something. Here I will convey the will from Mr.Kev which he has kept for a long time. The will is about inheritance," explained Sony.

The man adjusted his glasses while looking at a piece of paper to read. "Here is written a will from Mr.Kev that the ones who get the most inheritance are Flo and Hera. The eldest daughter and second daughter."

Sony continued to read the will and the parts obtained by Flo and Hera.

Meanwhile, Siena was dumbfounded. She did not hear her name got a share of the property from his father.

"Finally, for his youngest daughter, Siena Kev, she only gets a share of living in this house," concluded Sony. After that he kept the letter back.

Hearing this, Siena suddenly stood up and said, "No way! Dad can't possibly give me nothing." She looked at Sony seriously.

Uncle Brew saw Maks standing in the corner of the living room. "Hey Maks? Why are you standing there? Do you want to get a share of the inheritance too?"

Uncle Brew's question caught everyone's attention. Their eyes shifted to Maks who was standing. Maks stammered as everyone was now paying attention to him. He shook his head slowly.

"Your wife can't even get a share, how about you," said Aunt Brew.

"You have to be entirely naked around thishouse for a day if you want a piece of the inheritance." HA HA!" said his brother in law named Kenan. Again, everyone laughed at what Kenan said to Maks. His way of condescending Maks is always considered funny by them. Meanwhile, for Maks, it is a form of humiliation and his pride has been trampled on.

Between their laughter, Siena hurried off to enter her room. Maks immediately came to follow his wife.

"Siena, what's wrong? Why did they corner you too?" Maks asked his wife who had been sitting on the side of their bed.

Siena's tears kept falling down her cheeks. She felt very hurt to hear the words spoken by her two siblings and also her mother.

Siena immediately hugged Maks and cried in her husband's arms with satisfaction. Maks was silent as he continued to gently caress Siena's head. He could guess how hurt his wife's heart was. Because, if she cries, her heartache can't be contained anymore.

"You may tell me, Siena." Maks said it quietly.

In a slightly disjointed voice, Siena explained to her husband. "Dad did not give me any part of the inheritance. He only gave me permission to live in this house. That's what the will says."

"That's fine. Isn't that much more than enough to live here? I promise to work hard for our little family, Honey." Maks tried to calm his wife who was still crying.

"That's not the case. But, I know that they've changed the will. Dad can't have the heart to do that, Max." Siena expressed her belief.

His mouth moved again to continue her sentence. "Something's not right, Honey. I know. They're all petty and sneaky!"

Maks carried Siena into his arms again. He rubbed his wife's back repeatedly to help calm her down. "Be patient. Justice will be on our side one day. Right now, let them do as they please. Their life cycle is at the top. And we are at the bottom.

Siena started to stop crying. She believed what her husband said. She wiped his own tears. And her hands began to search for something in her bag.

Maks is waiting to see what his wife will do.

Siena handed him a piece of paper containing a person's address and cell phone number. "Your father gave this to me. He said if you need anything you can call him and come to this address."

Maks picked up a piece of paper that his wife was holding hesitantly. He saw that the address was still the same as before. Then, he crumpled the paper and threw it on the floor.

Suddenly Siena was surprised to see what her husband was doing.

"Why did you throw it away, Honey?" asked Siena in surprise.

"I promised never to see him again," said Maks with emotion.

"W-why? You have to tell me," said Siena forcing her husband to tell her what really happened.

"I was kicked out of his house and not considered his son anymore. Before I met you," replied Maks. He looked straight ahead. Remembering everything that happened 5 years ago.

"At that time, my mother had just died. I was very frustrated. Then, I plunged into the world of promiscuity and had time to use drugs. My father found out. I was immediately kicked out and he said that I was not considered his son anymore."

"I left the house with nothing. I only wore clothes. I thought my father would try to find me again. However, he didn't. I had heard the news that he was married to a widow who also has one son my age " He is explaining to his wife.

"I had time to go back home and peek through the gate. I saw my father was very happy living with his new family. Seeing that, my heart hurt so much. Since then, I have lived independently without him," added Maks.

Maks is still staring ahead with a serious look. Meanwhile Siena was dumbfounded. She didn't expect her husband to have a past story like this.

"Why didn't you ever tell me?" asked Siena very carefully.

"Because I promised never to remember it again, including telling anyone," said Maks. He looked into his wife's eyes.

"Honey, don't you miss your dad? Can't you forgive him?" Siena asked Maks.

Maks was silent for a moment. He still kept his eyes on Siena.

"I feel sorry for your father. He is very old. He told me that he missed you very much. Then, his tears fell. Especially when he saw our baby. He said he looked a lot like you when you were a baby," explained Siena. She hoped her husband's heart melted when he heard this story.

Maks is still silent.

"Siena!" Flo's voice called out to him.

Realizing the call, Siena immediately rushed out of the room.

"Mother sent you to the living room. There is a guest who wants to meet you," said Flo, telling her youngest sister.

From inside the room, Maks heard. He turned to his wife. Likewise with Siena who turned to Maks.

Maks nodded his head. He gave Siena permission to meet the guest.
