Chapter 3 3

He remained in the car for some more minutes thinking whether or not to call the contractor to inform him of his backing out from the deal but another thought asked him not to because his reputation was going to be at stake. He was known for delivering clean jobs and that was another one that he had to carry out

His lads were already thinking that he had glimpsed at some cops around and maybe that was the reason for his hesitation but only Ethan knew what was going on in his head. Finally getting the courage that he was seeking, he told his fellows to get ready because they were about to get into the building to do what they have been called and said to do.

"Yes, boss," they all answered in unison leaving him with a smile on his face.

As they were getting themselves ready, Ethan's phone began to vibrate inside his pocket, leaving him in wonder as to who could be calling him and taking out the phone thinking it could be a client, Rudy's name was the call name. Ethan was in no mood for her nagging and knowing what she was going to say to him, he was not ready to get into more fights with her and he had deliberately left her behind from joining the operation due to her uncontrollable anger.

Catching sight of the, his best friend and colleague in the robbery domain, asked him what was going on and why he was looking so miserable but Ethan gave Kyran a sorrowful look, he had no words to describe what he was going through. From his facial expression, he could tell that Ethan was going through a rough time and that was neither the place nor time to discuss that.

They were to pass through the back entrance of the building as the contractor had indicated in the plan. Making their way into the building as maintenance services while the others had to pass through the reception hall, Ethan and his team had already figured out everything just like they always do. Everything was set and all they had to do was to stick to the plan and everyone was going to be alright.

"Sir, this is an office and this kind of thing is not supposed to be happening here, you of all people should know that," Elise muttered giving him a disgusting look.

"And as you know, this is my office so no one will get in here without my consent, okay?" he continued making her feel more miserable than she was already feeling. Elise had no intention of giving in to his demands and the more she resisted him, the more he came with full force.

She was getting so pissed with the situation, that she could not hold back her anger anymore and without any control, she yelled out at him to stop being perfect and to leave her alone. When Mr. Robert heard her scream at him, he could not believe that she had done that. It was like a dream that he needed to take up from.

Breathing like her life was going to end, Elise warned him never to touch her again and that it should be the last time if he ever wants to stay alive. He looked at her in surprise and with a serious face, he asked what had come over her but Elise was not joking with him and if she had to lose her job that day, she was prepared to do so they get to have his smelling to high heaven body touch her all the time just because he wants to give her a promotion.

Ethan and his men were already inside the building and they were looking like real electricians. With his cohorts ensuring that no one was going to come in again, they gave out the signal to the others who screamed out telling everyone to go down. It was a great day that had turned sour.

"If you want to live then you all should corporate with us, if not you all are going to have yourselves to blame," Ethan let out being the leader. The staff as well as the clients who were present that day trembled in fear for their lives, and with everyone respecting what he had said, they all lowered their heads to the ground.

"Now, I will count to three and I need someone to come out here and take me to your boss's offices now," he said while he began to count.

"One...... two..... and....," before he could finish, a lady who was working at the back seat, begged him not to hurt anyone as she was going to take him to the boss's office.

"Don't do that, he will give you problems," a colleague let out, and just as he spoke, one of Ethan's men knocked him off on the head leaving her unconscious. At that point, everyone held their hearts tight knowing that they had not come there to joke around with anyone.

He asked one of his men to accompany him, and those who had passed through the back entrance were already inside the edifice and the person who had contacted them was available to open them up. He had made up his plan very well that all the cameras had stopped functioning just at that particular period of the day.

Paying off the lady who serves coffee to the security agents to give them a sleeping substance for them to sleep, his plan was well hatched out. Ethan was left in front of the manager's office and given an order for the rest of the staff to be taken down so that they could meet up with the other personnel, Ethan was standing before the boss's office and all he had to do was to get inside.

The contractor was glad that everything is going according to plan and while he was looking at his watch, he made sure that they will be out of there before the company's investors could come to get their currency if not his plans will be inside the water. Ethan badging on the door and meeting Elise fighting with her boss with her blouse almost blessing her upper body and her face covered with tears, he was stroke by her beauty and innocent look which he had never seen before.

"Help me," those were her words as soon as she saw him not taking into consideration his appearance, not attire. Ethan was caught in the middle not knowing whether to help her out to continue his mission but one thing was sure and that is he has to carry out his task for coming there.
