I parted my loose hair and combed it over and over again, as well as the new uniform I was wearing I fixed. I'm ready to leave. I smiled in front of the mirror and act cute as well. Jeez! My cuteness is too much for my first day.
"Are you ready to leave?" I looked at my mom standing in the doorway with her arms crossed who was raising an eyebrow at me.
I smiled and nodded at her. "Yes! I'm ready. It's war again between us." I laughed.
Her eyes widened and then she slapped me on the arm, it's light. "What are you thinking, huh? You two are really young! When will you stop fighting?"
I shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe, the mess she started will just never end like this. She started it after all, mom."
Mommy just sighed before leaving my room. As for me, I wondered if there was really any hope that we would get along again even though it was so vague.
I went downstairs and said goodbye to my mom and dad. I kissed their cheeks and left with my driver. This is my first day and I should be beautiful in front of her. I will never let her more beautiful than me. Duh!
"Be careful and please, stop your fight." My driver said when I got out of the car.
I smiled. "Don't worry, I can do it. Besides, this is our last year in high school. I'll check it out, Kuya driver. Let's see what happen in our last year." I laughed and waved my hand at him before walking away.
It's been a few months and I miss this school. Many students were obviously excited to go to the school, the others were still running, but I... no. Never. I just walk slowly, confidently, and smiling sweetly like how I used to be.
Why would I want to go to school when it's all about fighting? I'm also a student of this school and being a student, I need to relax my mind, I need to take away myself from fights.
Many students greet me as I walk the field so I greet them back as well. The others are still kissing me, and it's okay with me.
"Scarlet!" I looked at the woman who called me. It was Cathy and Alexa, they are running towards me.
"Alexa! Cathy!" I hugged them both when we reached ourselves. "How are you guys?"
"We're fine, we've somehow been away from the turbulent world for a few months." We laughed because of what Alexa said.
"Oh my god! Our girl is glowing up," Cathy said.
I laughed at what she said so I put a few strands of my hair behind the ear. "No! It's just... there's no stress in my vacation." I laughed.
"You're still humble!"
We went inside at the same time. We first went to our locker to put some of our belongings. When I was about to close the door of my locker, something suddenly ran into me so I bumped into the locker.
Aish! Is this a sign of another war?
I turned myself and I saw the girl I hate the most. The side of my lips rose and then I looked around. The students are already watching what will happen next, and mostly, freshmen or new students.
"What is it, Chloe? Do you want to fight in our first day?" I asked while my brow raised at her.
She smirked at me. "Shall we?"
I laughed. "How pathetic. It's too early for that, Chloe. Why don't we introduce ourselves to the freshmen first? They might wondering who we are."
She and her girls look around. "Do you think so? Okay, then."
My forehead furrowed as he slowly walked in front of the students as if he were picking, especially with new faces.
"What is she doing?" Cathy whispered behind me. I just shrugged.
I was surprised when she grabbed a man by the collar and pulled him in front of me, between the two of us. I also noticed the boy next to this boy, he seems familiar to me.
"What do you think you're doing, huh?" I asked.
She raised her brow at me. "Introducing myself." She simply answered.
She looked at her girls and handed her open hand. I don't have any idea what will she do. She was given a bottle of water and opened it for her and put it on the head of the man sitting on the floor between us.
"This is my way to introduce myself for you all! I hope you won't forget me!" She said and then looked at me.
"Watch me, bitch." She looked at the students while the water was still on the top of the boy's head. "I am Chloe Seren Enriquez, the gorgeous bully of this school."
She was about to pour the water on the man's head when I quickly grabbed the bottle and splashed the water on her face. Now, she's all wet.
The shock and unexpected thing that happened to her is so obvious on her freaking face. The side of my lips rose when she glared at me after look at her wet body. "I'm sorry. I can't control my hand. It was an unexpected case I did to you," I said.
I helped the man stand up and I made him go behind us. And then I looked at her again and raised my brow.
"I didn't know that your introduction for today was cheaper than before. You are just making them to think that you are a piece of a trash." I smirked before finally leaving.
First day of the first day and that's how she immediately messing up with me. She ruined my great morning. Well, she always ruined everything about me.
"Wow! That was so cool!" Alexa said.
"Tss! I told you don't praise me too much, Alexa. Maybe my head will grow big on that." I laughed after I said that, and they also just laughed.
We went to our first-class and we sat in the middle and we were side by side as always. I was no longer surprised when Chloe and her friends entered. I'm used to it! They always near me.
I don't believe that such incidents are just coincidences, I know she deliberately approached me to watch every of my move. I also knew that she was looking for a hole for me, to cause the ruin of my life. I know her than anyone. I even know her better than her own family.
They sat on the bench opposite us. At the same time, they pulled their hairs out to make us look like it was very fragrant even though it wasn't.
Next, our teacher entered with two male students. As far as I know, the men in front are the one earlier, who almost poured a water by Chloe, whose name is George according to Alexa and the one on his side is the man who seems familiar to me.
"Goodmorning, Class!" Our teacher greeted us.
"Goodmorning, sir!" The students in this classroom answered, except for Chloe and I.
Sir Alvarez smiled. "We have a new students in Villareal. They're just enroll here last week so be good to him. Especially Chloe, don't bully him."
Chloe just shrugged and averted her eyes.
The man stepped forward while holding the hem of his white uniform. "Hi! I'm Theon Jayce Sevilla and nice to meet you, everyone." Introducing himself.
He sat in the empty seat across from me and next to Chloe. He was the man who stepped backward earlier when Chloe pulled George's collar. I think he's weird because of his big reading eyeglass. Tsk!
"Scarlet!" I turned to Sir and immediately stood up.
"Sir?"
"Can I talk to you outside?" He asked me and I just nodded before following him outside.
"Sir, what do you want to talk about?" I asked. I wonder because it's our first day and he needs to talk to me.
He let out a deep breath before looking at me. "If you don't mind, I want you to walk Theon around the school now. You know, he really doesn't have any idea about our school. Also, you are the president of this class."
"Is this a favor from the most followed teacher in Instagram?" I smirked at him.
"What?"
I laughed a little. "Okay, sir. I will walk him around. And you don't have to worry because I'll be good to him."
He messed up my hair. "You are so kind, Scarlet. That's why they call you their Guardian Angel." He smiled at me.
I also smiled back. "I know. I'm just being used to it, Sir Alvarez."
I went inside first and grabbed my bag and came out again. I picked up my cellphone and then chatted with Alexa while waiting for Theon to come out. He's talking to our teacher right now.
Scarlet: Watch her. I'll just walk Theon around the Villareal.
Alexa: Copy that!
When Theon and Sir came out and approaching me, I arranged myself and then stood properly next to Theon.
"She will walk you around the Villareal and remember what she will say. Understood?" Sir said to him.
"I understand, sir." He replied.
Sir smiled. "Good then." Sir looked at me.
"Take good care of him, he's a new student here."
"I know, sir. Don't worry. You know me," I said then walked first, Theon followed me. But even faster than lightning Chloe managed to block us.
She raised his one eyebrow at me and crossed her arms as she slowly approached. She went through the other door.
I sigh. "You are not done yet, huh? What is it again, Chloe?" I asked.
Her eyes narrowed. "Where are you going, bitch?" She asked.
I burst out laughing and then crossed my arms. "Why do you care? It's none of your business!"
"Let's go, Theon." I hit him a little on the shoulder and walked away.
Why is she asking when she doesn't care what I did before? She's my mortal enemy so why is she asking me that?
I was walking fast, and as fast as I was walking I didn't remember that I had anyone with me. I stopped and immediately faced him who was still backward and obviously surprised at my sudden presence.
"I'm sorry! I think I did surprise you." I apologize.
Theon looked up at me and adjusted his mirror. "N-no! I'm fine." Then he looked down again as if he was avoiding looking into my eyes.
"Why are you acting like that? Are you scared of me or just... shy?" I asked and he immediately looked at me.
"No! W-what... Because... Well," he stuttered.
I smiled at him. "It's okay! You don't have to answer my question. I'm not going to eat you alive or anything, so don't be scared."
He nodded slowly. "I'm sorry. I just can't get the things I saw before out of my mind." He explained.
I let out a deep sigh and then turned around and stepped to my feet. He followed me. What exactly should I say to a new student like him? How should I explain to him what he saw in a way he could understand?
"There's only one thing I want to say about what you've seen before." He stepped a few times to side with me. "That's... we're a mortal enemy."
"Mortal enemy?"
I looked at him and gently nodded. "If you ever get through this kind of everyday situation, you'll know a lot more."
"In that case, they know everything about you?" He asked again. I lifted the edge of my lip and then nodded.
"But don't think and talk about us, she might hear you. You'll in trouble if she hear you talking about us," I whispered. "Anyway, I'll take you to the gymnasium, maybe you have an idea of what the perfect ones are, don't you?"
He nodded so I smiled. "Let's go. Remember where the places I'm going to show you are, maybe next time you'll get lost."
He didn't answer yet so I quickly took him to the gymnasium. This place is not so small but also not that big, we can say that it is just the right size for the students.
"I think this Villareal is too big." He whispered but I could still hear. "I'm not sure if I can remember all the facilities here." I laughed because of what he said so I approached him and put my hand on his shoulder.
He looked there. "Villareal is really big, and I'm sure you can master it too, but not yet." I smiled.
"Where are we going next?" He asked when we got out of the gymnasium.
I looked around but suddenly my stomach churned. "I think, the Cafeteria is next."
I walked first and he followed as before. My every step was fast because I felt like my hunger would increase even more when I removed more. When we arrived, I went straight to buy snacks. That's all I'm going to eat first. I ate very little at home before I left, and I didn't know that I would be hungry right away.
He looked at me as I chewed so I raised one eyebrow. "You didn't eat before you left?" He suddenly asked me.
I first swallowed what was in my mouth and then drank some water before standing up and facing him. "I ate! But I just ate a little breakfast earlier." I answered.
"That's why you feel hungry." I nodded and smiled at him.
"Uhm, maybe you already know where this cafeteria is despite the speed of my walk earlier." I bit my lower lip when I look into his eyes.
He nodded immediately. "Ah, yes! I know. I remember all the places. Thank you!"
I smiled at him and pressed my two palms together. "Then, let's go to the next Facilities." I enthusiastically said so I walk away first.
I took him and told him the things he should keep in mind at the High school facilities we went to, we just hurried because we still had class. I just took him to the Library, Art room, Music room, Clinic, Laboratories, garden, teachers office, Swimming pool, arena, field, stadiums, and I just showed him where the Dean's Office is.
He was obviously tired but I could see he didn't notice that, so I took him to a place where he would really lose his tiredness.
On the rooftop.
"What are we doing here?" He asked as I sat in the chair near the rooftop railings.
"As you can see, we were on the rooftop." I looked at him and smiled. "Don't you feel the warm breeze?" I asked.
He leaned against the railings and looked down, but he also immediately backed away. I laughed at his actions.
"It's too high!" He's breathing while holding his chest.
I laughed. "Why? Are you scared? Do you have fear of heights?"
He shook quickly so I frowned. "None! It's been a long time since I've stepped on high places like this."
"Is that so?" He nodded. "You know, when I'm sad or stressed, I only come here because the breeze here is soothing, and the cloud above is like a little waterfall you can reach it."
I stood up when he didn't answer, I peeked down and it was really very high. I touched him and pointed to the buildings not far from us. "You see that? It's Villareal University, it's just across the street and Highschool and College are connected but it really has a barrier."
"Oh! Is that so?" I nodded.
"But you can't go there while you're still in high school, unless you ask the dean's permission and you have a good reason."
"Good reason? Like what?" He asked as he was looking on the other building.
"Like," I looked up and think, "like visiting your siblings, or someone you love. Also, if you have something to do in that building."
"Oh, is that so? I got it," He said before smiled at me that makes me got a goosebumps. I don't know why I got that.
"I... s-see." I looked away.
He just nodded and then looked at me and we sat in the chair together. "Thank you."
I suddenly frowned so I looked at him. "Why are you thanking me? And for what?" I asked.
He just smiled and then adjusted his glasses before closing his eyes and looking up at the cloud. "Because you made me feel comfortable now..."
