Chapter 8 Le Monde

The kingdom of Werewolves, known as Le Monde can be seen in the middle of a hidden forest, this passage is secret to the knowledge of the people, because it is like a huge wall that only someone who has a blood of a Werewolf can penetrate. If mortals look at the area, it is just a vacant lot, and has full of weeds but they do not know that it is a subterranean route to the seemingly pantyhose place of extraordinary creatures called, Werewolves.

Le Monde is broken down into three divisions, crossing through Mallory, Morva, and Mestre. The territory of Mestre is the so-called impecunious and disreputable Werewolves; their race frequently flagrantly violates the directives of the powerful Alpha; the Alphas originate from the realm of Mallory, where the blood of nobility and powerful Werewolves runs, hence Mallory and Mestre are frequently at odds. For a long time, they were considered Mallory's servants, so they learnt to resist and veer away.

The Morva area is known for their ability to foretell and predict the future or past of any creature, which creatures in the Mallory need in their world. So this is one of the reasons why the place of Mallory does not have a conflict with the people living in Morva because they know nothing can help them in planning to take over the whole world and make it theirs when no one will say about what will happen in the future no matter what they plan to do. Morva is tormented by traitorous Werewolves, such as two-faced creatures, and they typically stick to the greatest.

Last but not least, the Mallory territory it is where the affluent Werewolves originate from, they are insatiable for dominance and grandeur, since they are the fiercest and most formidable in the realm of Le Monde, and the Alphas, or regarded a peculiar Werewolf, originate from their race, unrivaled in their strength and prowess when it comes to battle, since their territory alone has appropriate weapons in all areas in Le Monde.

Despite the feud between Mallory and Mestre, they still have individuals that are attached to one another, and the friendship persists, just like Sariya and Xena. Xena comes from the lineage of the vengeful Werewolves, the considered servants of those who lived in Mallory for a long time but learned to fight and stand up for their rights, she is a creature from Mestre. Sariya, on the other hand, hails from Mallory territory, she is not just a mere Werewolf as she is the only child of the considered Alpha in the whole of Le Monde. Despite that she remained humble and kind, even though it was contrary to the character of her race. Sariya and Xena were only ten years old when they became friends, and despite the fact that they knew turmoil was brewing in their clans at the time, they opted to stick together. They have been friends for over nineteen years and managed to remain connected regardless of the fact that accessing on the place of one other is completely outlawed.

"There is a league in our area right now and I am set to fight later, would you like to watch?" Xena immediately asked Sariya who at those moments seemed selfless and deep in thought, she repeated what she had said again and by that time she had already caught Sariya's attention.

"Of course, I will not miss that moment." Sariya said at the same time as she smiled, but Xena had already memorized how her friend smile at the time she was having trouble. She immediately leaned her head on Sariya's shoulder, hoping that somehow she could at least reduce the weight she was going through in those moments.

"Even if you do not really tell me, I know what you are thinking exactly now: perhaps your mother Ophelia chastised and harmed you again since you believed she had never considered you a daughter since you were a child. Or perhaps the Alpha of Le Monde, your father Theodore, issues an order against your volition that you must carry out because it would make him happy. If your father is your problem today, what else is he asking you to do? Sariya, I continually remind you that just because he is your father it does not mean you have to do everything he says, especially if it goes against your morality. But I have noticed that whenever you do what he says and then you receive so much applause, that is when you get that peculiar thrill, and it is the only time I see you having actual happiness. When I see you pleased, Sariya, it makes me happy too. I hope -"

Xena could not even finish what she was going to say when Sariya cut it off,

"He wants me to set up nuclear warhead equipment in your territory, Xena. I will never be delighted with that; yeah, he will be satisfied when I do that, but that is the thing I will never be capable of accomplishing; this time, I do not want to hear his accolades and belaud knowing that in return of what he ordered me to do is your life and the lives of your loved ones." Xena sat up straight on a huge boulder next to Sariya to hear more of what her friend had to say when Sariya provided an explanation why Xena was halted. She could not really believe what she heard and her eyes were nearly watering. They are now in a hidden paradise, where they always gather in the Morva region, where no one of their kind can see them. While Sariya's expressions are usually blank and she does not seem to experience any sentiments, her persona remains a mystery to most since she does not want to display her feelings.

"Do not make fun of me, Sariya. That is not a good joke." Xena spoke immediately as she stood up, and turning her back on Sariya was an opportunity for her to wipe away the tears that were already dripping down her cheeks. Xena knows that whatever Alpha orders her daughter, she must obey it, because if not Sariya is the only one who will be harmed and punished besides this, even if Sariya does not do what she is asked to do, her father will definitely order it from others. Despite the fact that security in their territory is rigorous, they have no objections to the equipment at disposal, because they have nothing against it.

Then when that happens they are all sure to die, even if they don't let the residents of Mallory in they can still get through without anyone knowing. Daring and Irreverent to fight if they are to be defined, but that does not remove the fact that they still have nothing against whatever power Mallory possesses. They are just beyond courageous and do not back down in any battle and that is probably what stabilizes their territory. Her territory is as important to Xena as she is to her love for Sariya as a friend, and now she has become quite emotional because of what Sariya has revealed.

When Sariya noticed that Xena was crying at that moment she immediately closed her eyes, she knew how serious this news was, she did not want to tell it to Xena recently but it would just be unfair.

"Do not worry, I will do everything I can to prevent what my father wants, even if it means my life." Sariya mentioned, there was a trace of seriousness in her voice and in those moments she was just looking straight into her friend's two woesome eyes. When Xena heard that, she immediately sat down next to Sariya and it could be seen on her face that she did not agree with what her friend said.

"He is going to hurt you, Sariya. My conscience can not handle that." Xena stated loudly while looking at Sariya's feminine physique, and the woman's expression stayed lifeless during those seconds, but it did not seem to stop her from responding to what Xena said.

"Whatever the outcome of what he does to me, it will mend, but that scar in my heart will never heal when you are gone. Xena, you are the only one who understands me." Sariya mentioned at the same time as she looked into the distance as if she was afraid the woman would know the sentiments coming out of her eyes. She did not want to disappoint her father, that was why she obeyed its command, and not because she was afraid of being hurt, because in fact she was not afraid to be harmed. Maybe the emotions that suddenly came out of her eyes were due to the weight of her decision at these moments. Whatever her decision may be, wherever it takes her she will make sure no one is maimed, and no one killed in the process.

"But Sariya..."

"I can handle this, do not worry." Xena stared at her as if she were in tears, and it was clear in her eyes that she was very pleased and appreciative because the daughter of an Alpha, who will be the upcoming Alpha, had become her friend, as Sariya declared confidently. It was not quite as wicked and vicious as the people who lived at its homeland, and this was perhaps the finest thing that had ever happened to her life. To meet Sariya and see her grow personally and professionally.

When Sariya spotted her friend's tearful countenance, she quickly brushed her tears away while delivering a witty remark;

"Right now your problem is your fight, do you want to lose?"
