Chapter 6 Bad luck

Standing at the beginning of one of the rows, Lola could feel the beads of perspiration rolling down her face. Luckily it seemed the housekeeper had not noticed her presence. The last thing she needed was someone scolding her. After waiting for 20 minutes Lola was already having doubts of whether he young master was really back or if all this was just a drill to see how fast they could get here. Just when she was about to speak up.

She saw a black maybech coming forward with another car behind it. Lola immediately guessed that the young master should be in the car in front. The car in front came to an halt at the entrance where the servant stood in rows. Lola could sense the nervousness of everyone. Their nervousness didn't help her at all.

Well to state the truth she was also nervous. This was the first time she would meet her master of course she was nervous. She was even more nervous realising that even the older maids were nervous.

The passenger's seat door was flung open. Daniel came down and rushed to open the back door. When the back door was opened and the person inside alighted all the servants bowed in greeting.

"Welcome young master" they said in unison

The young master merely pocketed his hands and strode to the entrance. His each step showed grace and Elegance like he was born for it. Lola stepped forward with the indoor slippers and was about to place it on the ground when he sneered. Daniel immediately rushed forward and took the slippers from her before placing it before the young master for him to change to. Lola couldn't understand what she did wrong she just watched him proceed to his room on the second floor. She felt bad she had failed in making a good first impression. When he left the servants dispersed. Lola hurriedly followed Omar.

"Omar wait for me can you walk a little slower" Lola said as she caught up with him near the servants quarters.

"I was actually walking slowly" Omar replied

"Thank you for saving my ass this time around" Lola said

"Humph... you are lucky the housekeeper didn't make much fuss about it. Even more lucky the young master is in a good mood"

"........" Lola could only look at him baffled. If this was the young master's attitude when he us in a good mood. She never wanted to cross him when he is in a bad mood.

"And that's not all I still had to pick you up do you realize you could have gotten both our asses fired" Omar continued not giving Lola the chance to reply

"I...I........" Lola stuttered she couldn't reply she still kept on comparing images of Omar as a girl wondering if he would look like Selena even in the smallest possible way. They both nag in the same annoying voice. And she meant this in the kindest way possible.

"Hang on I'm not through if I didn't call you I'm sure you would have taken over 12 hours to get back then got stuck outside the district and if I hadn't come to pick you up you would have arrived the same time the young master did" Omar continued

Lola couldn't take it any more she hugged him tightly and kissed him on his cheeks

"Ok mom I heard you so please can you stop nagging" Lola said laughing at Omars shocked face.

Omar was still shocked by her actions that he didn't hear her refer to him as mom

"You know you have many personalities. Sometimes you're like Audrey fun, free and friendly the next time you are like my mom and Selena always nagging" said Lola laughing harder.

"Can you loosen your grip or better still let me go. If someone sees us in this position it would be hard to explain our selves" Omar said

"Ok" Lola said

"No it's not yet okay you still haven't made it up to me" Omar said

"Well fine I'll treat you to a meal whenever we are free" Lola said

"It's a deal" Omar said

Lola rolled her eyes and mimicked him "It's a deal! Could you not just decline"

"That would have been impolite of me" Omar retorted

"Catch ya later" Lola said

"Bye babe "

When Lola returned to the villa she bumped into Daniel "Oh I'm so sorry" Lola said

"No need to apologise we are both at fault" Daniel said

"Your name is Lola right"

"Yes" she replied

"OK I'm Daniel the young Masters PA" Daniel said

"Hi Daniel I guess I'm going to be seeing you a lot" Lola said

"Well for the mean time you're going to be seeing Aaron Starting from tomorrow... Oh right You have met Aaron right. I heard you applied for a loan he was the one you met" Daniel said

"Yeah I did so you mean that Aaron... but I don't get it I thought he was in charge of staff welfare how come he is going to be working as a young Masters PA" Lola asked

"He is actually the junior PA you saw him there because that was like his punishment the young master more like means of relaxation. So I'm gonna be taking over his place while he returns" Daniel said

"Alright sorry about that" Lola replied

"Just how much luck did you accumulate in your past life" Daniel mumbled

"Excuse me" Lola said

"Don't worry you will understand when Aaron comes by" Daniel said

"Okay" she said

"I've got to go to the young master study See you later" Daniel said

"Bye" she said waving briefly at him

Lala turned back and headed to the kitchen while she thought

Wow he is friendly I didn't expect people working around the so called demon King to be so jovial. The maids referred to him as the demon King when the housekeeper wasn't near.

When Lola entered the kitchen she saw the chefs busy making different dishes when she looked around she saw the housekeeper supervising the chefs she tried her best to reduce her existence she didn't know what to do so she decided not to get in their way.

When they were through and were carrying the dishes to the dining hall the housekeeper called her aside

"Miss Lola when you are serving the young master remember what I told you and don't make any mistake"

"Ok sir I will surely listen to your advice"

"The young master should be in his bedroom you go and call him"

"Ok" Lola said while she left and headed to the bedroom . When she reached she briefly knocked on the door. Left for her she would ignore this man totally.

"What do you want " called a baritone voice from within

"Young master dinner has been served" Lola said while trying to calm her nerves

"Hmm" a sound of acknowledgment was all she recieved in reply

Lola headed down to the dining hall. After some time the young master came down took his place at the head of the table.

Lola wanted to serve the food when he had settled down but the question he asked next made her pause

"Were you the one who moved the picture on my desk" He asked

Lola could not discern any emotion from the tone of his voice.

But the house keeper and Daniel who were in the dining hall suddenly froze. what kind of bad luck was this everyone knew that the last person who had touched that picture had ended badly. No one that wanted to live peacefully touched that picture.

Lola took in a deep breath and let it out slowly she couldn't understand how he figured out that the picture was tampered with but she decided to admit it. There was no point denying it though.

"Yes young master I was the one who moved it when I was cleaning your desk" Lola said
