Episode five.
(Breakups)
Written by Timmy
Eric's hand that was about to sign the document stopped immediately. He cleared his throat before looking up to face Fiona. His eyes darted to the two employers that were beside him, their heads on the low, trying to stifle the laugh in their throats.
Eric cleared his throat before looking at Fiona, who did not know the gravity of what she just said and was chewing on her nails.
"Babe. I know.." Eric said before he was cut off by Fiona.
"Eric, I'm not here for that. I wanted to go shopping with my friends before I found out that I already ran out of cash. You have to help me with this." She whined like a little kid, stomping her foot.
Eric swallowed the shame she was bringing him. He faced the two employers, who were still staring at the floor.
"Anything interesting about the floor?" he asked them.
They both looked up at him, their cheeks red like a child who had been caught in a crime of his.
"N..yes.I mean..no." one of them stammered.
"Then why do you keep staring at it!" Eric shouted at them.
"Out!" Eric shouted again before they could open their mouths to talk.
They both looked at each other before bowing to the boss and scurrying their feet away. Fiona took her seat on the sofa immediately they were gone, sitting undoubtedly on it.
"Fiona, sit well," Eric said slowly to her.
"What?" she said looking up. "It's only a complaint you know how to do. I need money, transfer it to me and let me go. I don't have any plans on staying here for too long." she blurted.
Eric put his hand to his face. Fiona never knows when to stop, her mouth just opens and closes.
"And what did you need this for?"Eric asked her, taking his seat on the chair.
"I have to go out with Joslyn and I have nothing on me. How do you want me to go out with her and you know how Joslyn is, she is proud of her fiance giving her money." Fiona said, going through her bag.
Eric gave her time to check through her bag only to see her bring out a packet of gum. He widened his eyes at the kind of gum in her hands.
"Fi..fi.Fiona." he stuttered as he walked towards her.
She brought out five of the gums and threw them into her mouth. Eric took the bottle from her before she could keep it back inside her bag.
"Fiona, you bought a gum of $200,000! And you are cashless?" Eric said with widened eyes.
Fiona rolled her eyes at his dramatic nature.
"What do you mean 200,000 dollars? That's what everyone is getting And you know how much I love gums. I cannot let them outrun me in the buying section, you know." she said.
Eric clenched his jaw tightly, his muscles popping out his head. He paced back and forth, not knowing what to say to her. He massaged his temples, facing Fiona back who had no idea how he was feeling.
"Babe, time is going. I need to meet up with them. Just do the transfer okay?" she said as she tapped her phone rapidly.
Eric could feel his wolf losing control. He was sure if Fiona was not out of his sight at any moment from now, his wolf was going to pounce on her.
"Fiona, get out." he said with a shaky breath.
Fiona scratched her face up, not getting whatever Eric just sprouted.
"Babe, we are the only ones here," she said to him.
"Get out!" he shouted.
"What do you mean get out? Did I catch you in a bad mood? Are you going to transfer the money to me?" she said.
Eric clenched his jaw tightly. He was just trying to calm his wolf down. He looked at her with reddened eyes, keeping the snarl that was threatening to come out.
"We are done, Fiona," Eric said through gritted teeth.
A loud hiss resounded in the room before claps followed.
"Just because I asked you for a little amount and now we are done. I was never interested in you from the beginning Eric, it was because you had something to put on the table for me. And not to add, you are not good in that other part also." Fiona said before scoffing.
She stood up, taking her time to dust off her body and hitting Eric on the shoulder before leaving.
"Have a nice day eating all your money yourself," she added.
"Arghhhhhhhhh," Eric shouted as he threw a vase on the floor.
He should have just given her the money and let her go. Not to lose her. That was the person he had planned to marry, propose to and have kids with and now she had just walked out like their whole relationship was nothing.
"It was nothing." his wolf mind linked him.
"It better you keep quiet or else we are not taking any run throughout this week." he threatened through gritted teeth.
"You lost her countless times, I told you to go after her. Find her, now you don't have a choice but to go and look for her." his wolf continued.
The more his wolf talked, the angrier he became.
"Stop talking."
"You don't have a choice, Eric. They will always leave you. They are not yours. You have to look for your mate, not just because of me but because of yourself also." his wolf added.
Eric swallowed the spit in his mouth, massaging his temples furiously, clenching and unclenching his fist.
"One last time, stop talking," he said through gritted teeth.
"And now you might hit your fist on the table, spoiling some documents and punishing the employers for it. How would they stay with you like that?" his wolf added.
Eric's last line snapped, growling loudly through the office.
"Urghhhhhhhhhh." he growled.
