Episode one.
In the hospital
Written by Timmy
"Beep." the machine sounded.
It was 2am in the morning. Kiara had just left the room in a rush to get water for her mom. With a water bottle in her hand, she ran to the ward that her mom was in, opening the door to meet the shock of her life.
The doctor had told her that they might not be able to save her and were just trying their best but she had told them to continue no matter what. He has explained that when the machine reads zero, that means they already lost her. The first place her eyes went too as she heard the beep was the machine. The bottle in her hand dropped as she rushed to the bed.
"Mom, mom wake up. You told me to go and get you water and I did already. You have to wake up, stand up and use your drugs, then after that you can sleep back." she said, shaking her mom's hand as tears welled up in her eye.
Kiara knew her mom was dead, but she was not having any of it. She believed in miracles, her mommy has always read her stories on miracles, telling her that there was nothing GOD could not do. So how would GOD not save his most trusted believer? She looked up at the hospital ceiling, her hands clasped together and her eyes closed as she said a silent prayer in her heart.
"God, I know I've not been a believer but my mum has always been one. Save her. Only you could save her. I want a lot of miracles in my life but if you could do this one for me, I won't ask for the rest. All you have to do for me is save her. Make her wake up." she prayed, tears dropping from her eyes.
She let her thoughts engulf her, blocking away all the noise. She kept chanting the prayer, as the tears flowed freely from her eyes. Her hands that were clasped together started to shake, her eyes that were closed tightly also shaking. A light shove brought her out of her thoughts. She opened her eyes to see the doctor, with a coiled thing around his neck. He checked for the heartbeat of her mom before shaking his head and facing the nurse.
"Emily Gilligan. Time of death 02:05," he said as he walked out.
Kiara's hand that was about to drop on her lap froze. No, this can't be. Her mum can't be dead yet. She was still praying, God was still going to perform his miracle. Her mom had taught her that God did not answer you immediately. You pray finish, he takes his time before doing it so that it would be perfect for you.
Was this his way of saying it was perfect for her? She looked at the nurse holding the book with disbelief. She shook her head multiple times wondering if this was it. Adrenaline surged through her as she stood up, taking large strides to the nurse.
"What the hell do you think you're writing! Is this a joke to you? Writing time that a patient passed?" she said with widened eyes as she collected the book from her.
The nurse tried to collect it back but she swung her hand away making the nurse shift back. She opened the book, looking at her mother's name printed in capital letters, the time and date beside it.
"Maybe this is good," she murmured.
She looked up at the ceiling, shouting on top of her lungs.
"Dear God, I believe you do miracles but it takes time. So I'm giving you five minutes, just five minutes for you to round up your miracle and bring my mum back. Fi..five..minutes." she said as she broke down.
Tears welled up in the nurse's eye. She had seen several cases of mothers passing away but this touched her heart. The door opened with two nurses coming in to cover Emily's body.
Kiara stood up, running to them and pushing them away with all her might.
"What do you think you're doing! Taking her away? Covering her up? Does she look like she's dead to you? Just wait for five minutes and see if she won't wake up. Her God is going to do it, he's just rounding up." she said as the tears continued to flow down her eyes.
The two nurses looked at each other before nodding to themselves. One of them moved past Kiara to Emily's body. Kiara turned her back to him, wanting to stop him.
"You can't touch her! How dare you touch her? Just five minutes and she'll be u..p" she shouted but was cut off as she fell to the ground.
The nurse at her back removed his glove, changing it to a new one. He has injected it with a pill which part of it has spilled onto his gloves. He signaled to the nurse with the book to draw her away as he and the other nurse wheeled her away.
Kiara eyelashes fluttered, her hands in the air, calling out to them to bring back her mom.

In the opposite building, a teenage boy was sitting in his father's office reading a paper. He was not settled on the inside, the newspaper was just to cover up what was happening to him. He mind linked his wolf through gritted teeth.
"What's wrong with you?" he said.
"She's here. She's close by. Find her before you lose her. You can't keep it going this way." his wolf replied angrily.
"And I've told you several times, I don't need a mate. Fiona is enough for me." he replied.
"But I don't like that girl. You have to get me my mate." his wolf replied, attempting to snarl.
"You better don't try it. And as I've told you countless times, you have to like her. Get used to it." he replied to his wolf, his muscles popping out of his head.
"It's better if you find me my mate or I get you in trouble with your dear daddy." his wolf threatened.
"You won't dare it." Eric whispered.
"Shit." Eric cursed out as his wolf made a loud snarl making him cut off the connection.
"Is anything wrong there Eric?" his father asked with a raised eyebrow.
