Chapter 7 Anger!

Mrs. Zheng wasn't happy about the complaint Jenny just passed out about Liam, she was not happy so she was in the living room, waiting for him, she needed to confront him. She told Jenny not to tell anybody about what happened in Liam's office because she knew if Jenny parents came to know about this it was gonna be a scandal, "How can Liam behave in such a way, doesn't he knows it's not proper to abandon a lady in such way, anyway I'm waiting for him here, I'll talk some senses into his head," Mrs. Zheng said.

As she finished mumbling, someone's car alarmed at the gate, she knew it was Liam, since as her husband was on a journey and Etanne was home. The security opened the gate for him and he walked in, entering the living room he was so angry that he greeted his mom coldly, "Hey you come back," Mrs. Zheng said, At first, he taught of disrespecting her but to avoid conflicts with his dad he came back, his mom asked him to take a seat, but he refused, he told her he was not in the mood to seat that she could talk while he stands, his mother insisted he takes a seat, and he had no other choice than to the seat, he was in danger but had to respect his mother's choices. "Jenny just called me and she explained everything to me, why did you do that?" Mrs. Zheng asked while looking straight into his eyes. "Why did I do what?" Liam asked as he was lost. "Why did you abandon her in your office and saved yourself," she asked with her hands folded and waiting for a reply. "Oh she told you, I hope she equally told you she was starting through my window while I have a consultation with my patient?" Liam retorted, "She did that? But that wasn't enough reason for you to behave in such way, you should have simply told her it wasn't legal," Mrs. Zheng voiced out. "Like she doesn't know about that, stop being supportive we both know she is wrong, and if that's all that you wanted us to talk about, I'll take my leave I'm so tired I need to get upstairs to take my bath," Liam said. He left for his room, he could not believe his mom was taking Jenny's part even after telling her what she did at the hospital. Etanne wasn't far from them and he heard all that Liam and his brother discussed, he went to his room to go be with him, on his arrival the door was closed, he had to knock on the door, Liam hearing a knock on his door taught it was his mom, "mom I told you I needed some rest, please let me be," "It's not mom, I'm the one bro," Etanne said with a soft voice. "Oops! Sorry, I taught it was mom," Liam said he rushed to go open the door for his little brother. Please come in, he said. "Don't panic bro I heard everything you guys discussed about downstairs and I came to comfort you," Etanne said. "Thanks, man," Etanne asked his big brother if he was still interested in getting married to Jenny, Liam looked at him straight into the eyes and did not know what to say, he told his brother he doesn't thinks to be in love with Jenny, Etanne told him he did not know if their parents were gonna accept him not getting married to Jenny, it was something they had been planning since they were kids. "I can't deprive my joy just to make our parents happy, for the moment I'll just pretend to be interested in the marriage once I find someone suitable for me, I'll stop the marriage and if they really love me as they claim I think they'll understand," Liam said. "Are you sure it's the best idea you've come up with?" Etanne asked, "What's your suggestion?" "To me for the sake of our parents, you should pretend with this marriage," "Are you serious? Because if you are then you won't ask me to do such things, so you want me to live in a marriage where I'm not in love?" Liam asked while looking straight into Etanne eyes. Liam got so angry as his little brother Etanne encouraged him to proceed with the marriage even as he wasn't in love with Jenny, he asked him to get out of his room as he needed to be alone, "Hey bro it hasn't gotten to that, we can sort this out," "We ain't sorting anything, for now I need to be alone so be kind enough to walk out of my room," Liam said as he tried controlling himself. Etanne got out of his room and was ashamed of what he just did to his brother because of money. Mrs. Zheng knew Liam was not really interested in getting married to Jenny, and she knew Liam always took advice from his little brother, so Mrs. Zheng proposed a deal to Etanne. She told him if he could convince Liam in getting married to Jenny, he was gonna own one of her companies in the extreme North, the love for money pushed Etanne into accepting this deal, whereas he wasn't really happy about his big brother getting married to Jenny because she was very rude. Once Etanne got out of Liam room's and was on his way for his, his mother followed him to his room and asked how their discussion went, "mum I'm ashamed of myself, I can't believe I'm about forcing my brother to do something he doesn't desires," Etanne said with a soft voice. "It's not always about been happy in life, it's about what we stand to gain, if Jenny and Liam get married our family stands the chance of partnering with one of the most influential companies which ever existed and you stand a chance of getting a company on your name, so it's a win-win situation, and you gotta help me out okay?" Mrs. Zheng yelled out. "Okay mom, I understand perfectly." Etanne said. Mrs. Zheng was on her way to the salon, she had to go do her hairs so she told him they were gonna see themselves later and she left. "I wonder if my mom really loves me, she says if I do all this for her she's gonna give me the company of sugar in the extreme North, why can't she give me the company in one of the towns, she never loved that company that's why she wanna put it on my name," Etanne mumbled. He was not happy in the way his mom saw him, she always used him to achieve what she wanted. Selma got up and arranged her books for school, she went to the bathroom to go have a bath, while her mom was up and went to warm the remaining food so Selma could eat before leaving for school, done at the bathroom, Selma went into the room to go and get a dress for school in 20 minutes she was out of the room and was on her way to school, she was waiting for her mother to give her the 7$ so she could complete it with the money she had to pay for her textbooks, "Hey mom you are the one I'm waiting for now, I'm done and I need the 7$ so I could be on my way to school," Selma said. "Oh i'm coming, I am in the kitchen warming food So you could eat some before going out." Mei said. "Please forget about that for now, I'm not hungry," Selma said with a fierce face. Mei immediately stopped what she was doing in the kitchen and came to the living room to meet Selma, she held her hands and told her, one day everything was gonna be alright. It was the third day they were gonna have that meal and Selma was tired of that, she needed to have something new to eat but she could not voice it out because she knew the situation in which they found themselves. Mei went into her room and brought out 10$ she gave it to Selma and told her to manage the remaining 3$, then Selma hug her and left for school. Mei seeing the way Selma was not living the kind of life she was meant to live disturbed her a lot but she couldn't say the truth, as she feared she was gonna lose her. Selma got out and moved as fast as she could, she never wanted to arrive late in school, because she never had 5$ to give out at the school for arriving late at school, so she had to be early in school, she arrived and when she entered the school premises, it was just a matter of seconds them the gate was closed, she was so happy as she was able to make it before the gates were closed. She arrived at the class and her friend Kya was in class all ready and waiting for her. "Good morning Kya," Selma said. "Hello Selma how are you, I saw the gates closed and I taught you were not yet around I was afraid for you, but I'm glad you made it," Kya said as she was happy for her friend. "Yes, I arrived and once I entered the gates were closed behind me, I was glad I taught I would arrive late today, you would have seen as I was running on the road just to avoid to pay 5$," Selma said while laughing hard. As they were discussing, the lecturer arrived at the class, and as usual, the lecturer wasn't a friendly type, once he entered the classroom, he said any student who never had the money for the textbooks should liberate his class, all the class was waiting for Selma to live the class as they knew she was the poorest of the class and was unable to get herself the textbooks, but she was on her seat, the lecturer asked if she had the money for the textbooks and she said yes, then he asked to see the money, she then took her bag which was a little bit far from her, she opened the bag and removed the 100$ then she handed it to the lecturer. The students were surprised as Selma had gotten money to buy the textbooks, they were all surprised they knew Selma was gonna be driven out of the class and was to be denied access to writing her examination, some of the arrogant students asked her if she sold her body in other for her to get the money, she was a brave student so she never answered to their attacks. Ivy was seated close to her and loved her energy, she loved the fact that Selma wasn't responding to any of their attacks, it was soon time for the examination, the lecturer then got out of class to go get her textbooks which she was going to study in only two hours before writing the examination, the lecturer never loved Selma, so he wanted to punish her so she was going to fail and pay to repeat the course. The lecturer hated Selma because he once tried dating her but she refused, she told the lecturer that she wasn't interested in him, the lecturer promised to pay all her bills and all her necessities but she still refused to date him. The lecturer asked why she could not date him as he was a rich man, she told him she could not accept his advances because he was a married man and she had promised herself never to date a married man, and that was how she ignored her lecturer, seeing this he said he was gonna continue punishing her till she accepts his proposal. Selma was a very beautiful fairly white young lady with brown eyes which glittered, she was the most beautiful Young girl on campus and every man who saw her immediately fell in love with her, this could be seen everywhere including in the neighborhood, she was admired by everyone both the married and the single.
