"Here's your lunch Dia!". Elena called out.

"Mom No! I'll buy my lunch in school!". Claudia said.

"But I woke up early to make this for you". Elena persisted

"Look Mom!. Every freaking kid in my school buys lunch. Nobody brings home made food wrapped in paper bags"

"You can be different you know".

"Thats exactly the problem". Claudia shouted. "I've always been different. I'm always the weird creepy kid nobody wants to hang out with and I don't f*ucking like it".

"Claudia?!". Elena exasperated.

"Being different is not that bad, it just means you're special".

"Well I don't want to be special. I don't want to be different. I want to be the same as everybody else".

With that, she stood up and grabbed her back pack.

"OK wait. Finish your breakfast before you leave". Elena shouted as Claudia raced out of the house.

Elena looked around as if she was being watched, then she walked to close the door her daughter had left open.

"You know what year is it?".

"Yes and it bothers me like hell Mellisa". Elena answered the lady that had suddenly appeared inside her house.

"Yeah me too. They can get here any moment from now and trust me it's going to be very deadly".

"And bloody. They are fine you know".

"I hope you still have your bracelet".

"Yeah I do. I gave my mother's own to Claudia I hope she doesn't take it off you know how stubborn she's getting".

"Yeah Yeah I hear everything you two talk about".

Elena threw Mellisa a glare and she smile.

"Oh you know how we vampires are!". Mellisa laughed out.

"Yeah Yeah but don't eavesdrop on us anymore".

"I'll try" Mellisa smirked.

"I wonder why you haven't bitten me and Claudia yet".

"Because Claudia's a vampire already and you, you look not too tasty".

Elena rolled her eyes as she washed the dishes.

"Claudia is not a vampire".

"Yes she is". Mellisa ran her finger throw her wavy red hair and massaged her scalp.

"No she isn't. She doesn't have fangs, and she can't do stuffs. You know like seeing and earing".

"She's just a late timer. I know a vampire when I see one".

Elena heaved a sigh. She really didn't want her daughter to be vampire, she pushed the thought out her mind as she furiously scrubbed the dishes.

Claudia hastened her steps. That was how she always walked, like she was being chased, she never stopped to take a breath, she just bounce off to wherever she had to be.

Claudia slammed her back on her seat in the bus and jammed her ear piece into her ears. The blaring music tuned out the people around her. The ride to school began.

Claudia Clayton was a moody and unpleasant teenager, she has a sulky face and she never smiled or laughed.

Claudia had long crimson blonde hair hazel eyes. Her hair stopped at her waist line in rough chunks, looking uncared for and soggy.

Claudia wasn't one that bothered about beauty but nevertheless underneath that unattractive hair was a skin as pale as snow and as smooth as silk. Hazel eyes as bright as sunshine with long brown lashes.

Her tall slender figure always stood out amongst the other girls at school although she had a terrible fashion sense. Claudia Clayton was because but even she did not know.

She was tagged as the weird creepy loner at school with no single friend. Most of the girls were jealous of her figure and used it excuse to point out her faults.

If it wasn't "She's so smelly". It's "I think she has lice, I saw two dots on her necks during class" or "She's always muttering stuffs to herself I think she might be a lunatic". And many more.

Claudia got down from the bus and bounced off towards her school, she walked by girls that made fun of her. She always ignore the girls and behaved as if she didn't hear any of their taunts but inwardly ever single word made her cry at night.

"Hey Dia, got a boyfriend yet?". Marta, her biology seat mate shouted out loud and laughed with her friends but Claudia turn deaf ears and walked away.

"Maybe your man is one of those lice on your body". Another voice called out.

She balled her fists, it was starting to become unbareable and she might have to start beating up those fools from now on.

"I want you all to tell the class the occupations your parents do and how important they are to our society, then you tell us what you want your future occupation to be". Mrs Miller, the English language teacher said.

"Starting from the right, you tell us your name, your parents names and then proceed".

The first student stood up.

"I'm Marta Marguerite. My mom's name is Tory Lanes Marguerite, she's a medical doctor. You might all be wonderful Why she uses two last names, well that's because her father is Mr lanes Dave, the CEO of Lanes incorporation". Marta said with a proud note.

A round of applause was given.

"So I think medical doctors are important to our society because they save lives and take care of the citizens.

My father is Gregory Marguerite, the CEO of Gregory Game company. Video games inventors are important to the society because they create entertainment and fun and aid learning and brain building.

I honestly don't know what I wanna become yet 'cause anyways I might not have to work, I already have thousands of dollars kept for me". Marta finished and flicked her brown hair as her blue eyes swept past the class.

"Thank you for sharing that with the class Marta. Next".

The next student was a boy named Noel Torres. Marta's boyfriend. The hottest guy in Claudia's grade.

"I'm Noel Robin Torres. But everyone calls me Robin". He was ashamed of his first name.

"My mother's name is Ashley Torres, she's a model and I think models are important because they uhm.. Uhm.. Uhm... Uhm.. Do...a lot of make up?".

He made everyone laugh.

"My father is John Torres, he's a lawyer and I think lawyers are important because they take care of important cases and stuffs like Yunno give legal advice and conduct lawsuit"

"I want to become an inventor when I grow up. An aircraft inventor". He finished and everyone clapped especially Marta.

The next student went out and spoke.

"Next!".

No one went out.

"Next Claudia!".

"Uhn?". Claudia hazel eyes flew up and she looked up. Oh Geez she really was next.

She hadn't been paying attention since Robin spoke and now it was her turn. Pee threatened to fall as she stood up.

She had never spoken in front of the class before and she was nervous since everyone hated her already.

She stood in front of the class and looked down.

"I'm Claudia Clayton". She started.

"Wow Claudia I've never heard you talk before and I must say you have a lovely voice". Mrs Miller commented.

Claudia looked up, Mrs Miller was smiling at her. Suddenly she became confident, she didn't even know why but the pee disappeared.

She let her eyes drift towards the class and she saw Robin smile and nod at her.

Oh Geez he noticed her, Claudia grew 🔥 hot, she had been secretly crushing on him ever since she had seen him for the first time but since he was taken by her arch enemy they had never spoken to each other.

"My mother's name is Elena Clayton, she's a... ". Claudia had no idea what her mother did and she didn't have a father.

She looked around again and caught sight of Robin urging her to go on with his cute Green eyes.

"My mother owns a cosmetic producing firm, they make all kinds of cosmetics and deodorant. Infant I get the most expensive and hottest products I want". Claudia lied.

"My father's name is uhm.. Hmm... Lawrence Clayton. He owns the largest clothing Company in this town".

"What?". Marta shouted.

"No way!".

"Are you kidding me".

"Mrs Miller Claudia is lying", Marta shouted uneasily.

"No I'm not". Claudia said proudly.

"Then why are you always dressed like a scarecrow". Marta teased.

"Yeah!!". Everyone agreed.

Claudia had to think fast to save herself or else her life was ruined.

"Well bird brain, my clothes are actually a new design they're going to put out very soon and if you won't be able to buy them I can give you my old once. I've only worn them once anyway". Claudia told Marta proudly.

Marta gasps.

"Whats the name of your mom's company?". Girls ask walking beside Claudia.

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you. I like to keep my family private".

"Owwwwww". They chorused.

"Want to join us in the cafeteria?". Another girl asked.

"No thanks but I'm on a diet".

Claudia quickly walks away before she says anything that would blow her lies.

"Who knew she was rich".

"Not me, maybe that's why she's always alone. She thinks we aren't up to her standards".

"Well I can get to be friends with me if I wanted to".

The girls talked about Claudia.

"Wow, that was close". Claudia whispered resting her back on her locker.

"Hey".

Claudia froze. It was Robin.

"Dia, I didn't know you were so cool".

"Uhm uhm". She tried to compose herself but she couldn't get a word out.

"Maybe wanna hang out sometimes".

How a little lie was changing her entire life.

"Claudia! Claudia!". A voice called from behind Robin.

The voice sounded like...

"Claudia I brought you your lunch". Elena said moving closer to Claudia with a rusty looking brown paper.

"Is she your maid?". Robin asked moving away from Elena.

"Yeah!". Claudia quickly answered.

Elena gasped loudly looking shocked.

"No I'm her mother". She snapped.

Marta and her friends suddenly appeared beside Robin. Marta took Robin's hands in hers and rolled her eyes when she saw Claudia.

"Who's this". One of the girls asked.

Claudia stopped breathing, her life was over. Her life was just starting to take a shape but her immature mother had to ruin it with her stupid cheap lunch.

"Uhn let's go now!". Robin tugged Marta.

Claudia heaved. Oh Geez that was really close, they could have found out that.....

"I'm Elena. Claudia's mother. Are you her friends?" Elena asked with a smile.

"Oh no". Claudia could feel her life crashing down already.

The girls stopped and turned around, they eyes Elena down and then Claudia.

"Her mother?, then you must own the cosmetic firm Claudia told us about".

"Goodness! What cosmetics firm" Elena chuckled.

"I'm just a struggling single mother".

They all gasped and their jaws dropped open.

Claudia's head throbbed as tears burnt her eye lobes. Her mother had ruined her life.

"Dia? You didn't tell us your father was dead". Marta said really loudly.

That was it. She had nothing to lose anyways and she had always wanted to do this.

Claudia lunged forward, she jumped over Marta and took the girl by surprise as she landed a huge blow on her nose.

"Claudia!". Her mother shrieked loudly.

Claudia punched Marta 3 times before anyone was able to stop her.

"I'm sorry miss but your daughter is suspended for two weeks for fighting". Miss Jade, the school principal announced after Claudia had been dragged there for fighting.

"Please take her home".

That was that.
