Chapter 4 03: LATE

Cristine tried to appear chilly as she said, "I will accept your help, can you help me locate my name?" At these times, she shouldn't feel humiliated. Her first day was a complete disaster.

"Of course, I'm at your service! I'll assist you, young lady," he said sarcastically, "but may I know your name so I can look it up quickly?" He reflected on how patient he was. He sighs as he realizes they'll both be late.

Cristine believed that if he did not assist her right now, she would be unable to cope with the loss. She'd been hit before and recalled it vividly. To put him in a sack, he's far too attractive. What young lady, by the way? Cristine considered whether he was being nice or hinting at something.

"Thank you for your assistance, young master," she remarked sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "My wonderful name is Cristine Jane Hernandez." Even if you don't believe it, she's sincere in her gratitude.

He recognized her name right away. Take note that he discovered it quickly. He pointed to where her name was written and gave me a serious look. Without saying anything, he walked away. Cristine is remorseful for her actions. That person assists her, but she believes she mistreats him. She realized she didn't know where the building was when she looked at her room number. She's on the verge of committing suicide. She wants to cry and scold herself for being such a moron.

She was about to stroll off to ask someone when she was suddenly grabbed. She stares at the obnoxious young master who is grasping her while walking quickly. Cristine believes she harbored strong prejudices against the man. She didn't even inquire as to where the man should take her. She accepts the guy's behavior.

Her brain reacts slowly. She ponders why this is the case. Her reflexes are excellent, but when she is confronted with this man, she feels entranced at all times, which is not ideal. Cristine had a frown on her face. She believes that her defense of the man has been shattered. She looked irritated as she pursed her lips.

They entered the room before she could say anything. When they walked in, all of the students' attention was on them. Cristine seemed to be disoriented. Her expression indicates that she is perplexed. She noticed they were late because the professor was already in front of them.

"We're dead!" she exclaimed softly. She's hoping there won't be any consequences of being late on the first day. Cristine believes that on the first day, the topic might not be serious. She's even angrier now that she realizes the guy is still holding her hands and allowing everyone to watch. She instantly drew her hands back. Just a chuckle from the guy. Cristine longs to reprimand him for putting herself in this situation.

The guy apologized respectfully, "Prof, we're extremely sorry for being late." Cristine reasoned that she might be the one who was nasty to him. She has no idea what the guy's name is. She, on the other hand, is uninterested in learning.

"It's all right, Mr. Guevarra. Take your seat. Is that your girlfriend? Let her sit. Is she from this class?" the professor teases. Cristine is ashamed of herself and wants to bury herself. She was perplexed as to why she was being forced to go through this. Is it necessary to inform her? She's in a terrible situation.

"Madam, I just want to be clear.I'm not his girlfriend, and we're not even friends. I don't even know him. We're not even close," Cristine stated emphatically. To emphasize their relationship, she even shakes her head.

That professor simply chuckled with the rest of the class. Cristine was bewildered as to why they were giggling. Are they making fun of her?

"So, who's joking?" Cristine sarcastically asked. "May I know? I want to laugh too." Right now, she has a strong desire to punch someone. Her demeanor is extremely tumultuous.

"I'm sorry, Prof. She's just a little feisty, but what she said is true. She's not my girlfriend," the young master took into account. She's a little enraged.

With a smile, the teacher answered, "If you say so, Mr. Guevarra." Cristine believes that the professor was biased. Why should he believe him when she doesn't believe her? She thinks it's ridiculous.

They are seatmates. Cristine just knows his name, Tristan Guevarra. She feels that he is a bit arrogant. Without his handsome face, Cristine thought that he would be so ordinary, like a thug in the alley.

Cristine, on the other hand, was perplexed as to why she was irritated by him. First and foremost, he did assist her. She had forgotten about the question. She pushed it to the back of her mind.

She diligently listened to all of her professor's lessons during class. She may focus more on one item when she's annoyed. She also refuses to listen to her classmates' squabbles. She is well aware that she is the subject of gossip.

Why did this jerk end up in her class? Is he just there to irritate her? Cristine questioned whether or not that boy was a true freshman. She believes he is well-known. She's hoping for a peaceful university experience.

Hannah Montenegro was next to her on the other hand, as she had just learnt in class. They became friends since she is a little chatty. Cristine thinks she's a little foolish, despite her kindness and beauty. Even though she just insulted her, she's still chatting? Isn't that ridiculous?

"Hannah, do you know any quiet areas of the school? I'd like us to be the only ones there. I'm really annoyed. A lot has happened in a few hours," Cristine sighs. She simply wants to unwind and end the day. She's daydreaming about greenery, birds chirping, and fresh air.

Hannah informed Cristine, "Yes, in the backfield, there's also a garden nearby." Cristine was rather impressed, still envisioning the scenery out there.

She told Hannah that they would eat at the cafeteria first and then spend their spare time in the backfield. Someone ran into Hannah as she and Cristine were heading down the hall, forcing her to tumble and sit on the floor. Cristine aided her in her fall. Isn't it now too late for her to leave? What is it about trouble that keeps knocking on her door?

...

A/N:

In our university, it is acceptable to sit in class if you are not discovered and your professor is lenient.
