I was more than shocked when Barbara had told me that her father was kidnapped. I still couldn't wrap my head around it.

Barbara's POV

It was already 3:15 in the afternoon and I hadn't seen Liam anywhere, we were meant to leave the palace at 3:20 so we could arrive at the location.

I became worried because I knew it would be difficult if not impossible to find my father all by myself.

Luckily he walked into my room and met me pacing back and forth.

"I don't know if I am allowed to say this but you need to calm down my lady. This pacing won't solve your problem" he said as he entered the room and took me unaware.

"My lady... you have to let go now, it wouldn't be good if someone sees us like this they might end up saying nasty things" Liam said as he let go of me after the long hug.

"Plus we would be late if we don't go now," he added.

He was right, I was so engrossed in the hug that I almost forgot the reason why he was in my room in the first place. We could have just teleported to the location but in the text, the person had warned me not to do such.

When we got to the car, Liam opened the door for me at the back but I insisted on sitting in front, he really had no other option than to let me have my way.

I sat in front as he drove, we got to the place at exactly 3:58 so I guess we were 2 minutes early.

"The princess is finally here" I heard a voice say as I turned around to see a figure coming from behind the trees in the forest where I was asked to come.

Liam was by my side, I got scared but to my surprise he held my hand as if trying to show his support.

I really couldn't recognise who he was and really don't remember seeing him.

"Who are you and why did you kidnap my dad? Couldn't you have picked a better place for us to meet rather than the forest?" I began to ask.

"Woah! One question at a time, the reason I kidnapped your father, I think is best for that to remain between him and myself and as for why I brought you to the forest. Darling I asked you to meet me in a fancy restaurant but you refused so I guessed you would prefer here. Why did you bring him?" He spoke.

"You didn't expect me to come alone did you?" I asked him back.

"You are starting to talk back to me huh? Let me remind you that you are the one who is under my mercy and not the other way round so you better be careful or else.." He said trying to threaten me.

"Oh else what? Or else you will kidnap me as well? How do I know that this ain't a sham? I want to see my father now" I demanded.

Honestly I didn't know where I got the guts from because earlier on I was scared almost to death.

He teleported and came back with my dad.

"What did you do to him? He looks horrible. You are evil" I said as I began to go close to my dad but he stopped me halfway.

"Not so fast! And how dare you call me evil? Your dad is the evil one here in case you don't know.." he was still talking when Liam punched him in the face.

Liam kicked him in the stomach as well, he tried to fight back as he cast a spell and made Liam fall to the ground, hitting his back on the ground really hard.

That was when I knew he was a wizard. Liam got up and used his powers to try and set him on fire but he cast a protection spell, all this while my dad was unconscious while he was tied up.

I tried to wake him, I was about to use my powers to free him but the wizard threw a ball of fire at me which I dodged immediately.

Liam managed to knock him down but I could tell that he wouldn't remain like that for a very long time.

I managed to wake my dad up , my dad was so confused and shocked, he didn't even know what was going on.

"What is this? Why I'm I tied up?" My dad asked once he regained consciousness.

"Dad there is no time to explain, '' I said as I began to lose the ropes which he was tied with. I was about to teleport with my dad after successfully untying him when the wizard threw a ball of fire at Liam and ur hit him, although it was strong enough to destroy him but it made him weak.

My dad was a bit strong so he also used his powers to knock the wizard down. I was about to pounce on him as well but just then he cast a spell and vanished.

I rushed to where Liam was on the floor "Are you okay?" I asked Liam with great concern.

"Yes I am my lady" he managed to respond as he held the side of his stomach where the ball of fire had hit him.

When Liam got up from the ground we didn't waste much time as my dad, Liam and I teleported to the car and teleported with the car out of the forest. Once we got to the palace we all heaved a sigh of relief.
