'Wait.... are you seriously going to pretend not to know her name, that so low for a guy she cares so much about' The statement of the girl with boob styled hair got my attention and that when I realize they are talking about the blond girl who has been stalking me. Truthfully I don't know her name and I never bothered to find out. 'Point of correction miss, she's nothing to me' I clarify. 'What do you think of yourself?' She ask again, clearly getting offended 'I mean.... do you know how many guy are head over heels in love with her, you should be happy she's giving you a chance' 'She should stuff her chance somewhere else, I'm not interested in dating a college kid who can't tell her left from her right 'Their jaw drops In surprise. 2 days later.

I have the day off work and decided to take a stroll to the stream, it has become my spot in the last few months and I always come their to receive the calm and fresh air it has to offer. At the stream, I chose and comfortable spot under a big tree and sat, watching little kids play "hide and seek" while some where in the stream smiling and talking excitedly amongst themselves. 'Hey!' I sigh and Face palm 'Not you again? 'Can I sit 'She ignores my complaint. 'No! 'That's so mean, how can you treat a lady like that?' 'A proper lady should also know not to bother gentle men' She laughs, making me look at her. Today she looks so different, she's not putting on her usual heavy makeup with her signatory blood red lipstick, her hair is pulled back in a single pony tail and lastly she's wearing a round neck shirt and joggers instead of those slutty short and tight gowns I've come to know her with. 'Like what you see?' 'No!' She laughs again. 'You were checking me out earlier, if I knew wearing baggy shirt and joggers would do the trick then I won't have wasted my time dressing up to impress you all this days' 'I'm not impressed 'I scroll at her getting to my feet, she got up after me.

'You don't have to leave because of me, you came here first so I would leave 'I've never seen her so serious since I got to know her but this time she meant it, she was going to leave me in peace as I demanded unlike in my past encounters with her and that leaves surprise watch as she started walking away, still wondering how I got so lucky today. 'Ouch! 'She screams all of a sudden, I ran to her as she crouch down nursing her feet which is bleeding with as big cut. 'Fuck! Weren't you watching were you were going? 'She started crying .'It hurts, it hurts' 'Arrgh.... just keep quiet and let me take a look at it 'Her wailing is affecting my ear drums. I lead her back under the tree and made her sit, took her leg in my lap and to inspect the wound..... I'm not a medical practitioner but I took some coursed on first aid while in college. 'The wound is deep, let me clean it up for you' There is no first aid kits around so I helped her wash the wound with clean water and wrap it up with a the scarf she use in tying up her hair. 'You still need to see a doctor though, so it doesn't get infected' 'Thank Tad' she says sniffing in the pain, her whole face had turned tomato red that I felt pity for her.'Tade not Tad..... and you should pay attention when you're walking, it command sense 'Instead of giving a smart reply as like I expected, she just look up at me with those big puppy eyes and smile. 'You always act tough but deep down you're a soft guy, and I won't stop pestering you until you give me a chance 'She got to her feet and begin to limp off, at first I was left staring after her in shock, what she said got to me for some unknown reason.... she's right about me acting all tough despite being all mushy on the inside. I used to be that guy who wears his heart on the sleeve, easy to read and ready to please the world but all that changed, that part if me died along with my former identity. Or maybe it didn't die completely. I didn't plan in helping her get back to the tourist lodge but seeing her stumble in her limping leg a couple of times, that good guy in me couldn't turn a blind eye. 'Hey you.... are you crazy or something, stop right there. I rushed and caught up with her, catching her right in time as she stumbles and almost fell again. 'What do you think you are doing? 'Going back to the lodge, my friends would be worried' 'And you think you can make it back all alone, couldn't you ask for help?'. I berate her. 'Would you have offered to help if i asked 'She could counters staring me in the eyes. No I wouldn't, I didn't need to vocalize my answer cause we both knew it. Chapter 5If you asked me, then I would have replied that I never thought I would be doing this again in my life.... helping a white girl. Not just any kind of help but I was carrying her on my back and walking around town with passerby looking as over and over again in shock, pointing fingers, at a point little kids started trailing behind us, singing about the "strong black man that is carrying an oyinbo, he would marry her and they would have plenty kids together...... Anna is right, maybe we are actually soul mates 'I paused and stopped walking 'You said what' 'Anna said their is an attraction between us, that we might be soul mates'' Do you want to know what I think 'I asked in a controlled voice.
