Peeking at her work, she is almost in the half-page of her paper. She got 40 minutes left and decided to start her career. She closed her eyes, remembered the canteen incident, and made up a story in her head that was a little weird yet similar to what happened yesterday.
'I looked into Noah's eyes, the whole place was in commotion and chaos, but it was strange. I felt safe and at peace at that time, Though I could hear the constant beating of my heart and hear distant sounds from the students' constant throwing food in our background. I felt it was perfect to be this close to this man. I grabbed Noah's shoulder when I felt the man behind me bump my back; Noah's lips and mine touched because of my movement. Every inch of my whole body is electrified. Shit, so this is a kiss? I close my eyes only to feel the space instantly. I can now only see Noah's back walking away from me as I open my eyes. I felt like a fool again. I recovered myself and looked around. It seems like nobody noticed what happened. I hurriedly picked up my stuff and ran outside the canteen door leaving everyone who became the accessory to make my first kiss unforgettable.'
Her thoughts are back to the present when Georgina heard Mrs. Stanford call her name. she didn't realize she was drooling while writing her essay. Looking at the page she wrote, she was surprised at the masterpiece she made. She read what she wrote again, and it was about more on her feelings about the kiss. Georgina blushed. She was ashamed to present her work to the club.
The students are starting to read their work before the group, and she knows she can't explain her work without Pamila knowing her real feelings for her brother.
She stood up before Mrs. called her name to read her work. She had already crumpled the paper and threw it secretly on the floor.
" Georgina? Recite your work in front of the group." Mrs. Stanford smiled at her.
Georgina stood up, shook her head, and told her she was sorry she didn't do the work. Mrs. Stanford didn't say anything but looked frustrated at her and called another name. Georgina sat back in her chair. She can feel Pamilas eyes on her, so she looks in her direction.
" What happened?"Pamila asks her without making a noise. She didn't answer her directly and just smiled weakly. Their eyes met, and Pamila knew Georgina didn't want to talk about it. After the writing session, Pamila walks beside her without asking a word.
"I know what you think, Pam; I know I was crazy earlier; I shouldn't disappoint Mrs. Standdford, but I can't think of ideas and inspiration," Georgina's introduction.
" I saw you write Georgina. You are into your words, don't deny it; you dump your work; why?" Pam stated. Georgina was embarrassed to tell her that her thoughts were about Noah. How can she explain that to her?
" I'm just not confident, Pam." Georgina's alibi.
Pamila knew Georgina was lying but didn't comment any further.
She didn't open up the topic again and changed the subject.
" Marcus' parents are leaving tonight. He invited everyone to have a party in their house, what do you think?" she excitedly informed her.
Georgina's eyes lit up. She has heard parties and beer during the old days and wonders what it looks like in Starwood.
" I'll ask my parents, please help me." She jokingly pulled and dragged Pam's arm. They both giggle
" Of course, I'm so excited," Pamila confess. And they headed to the next class.
Georgina looks at herself in her full-length mirror and turns around. She pulled her Zara black tube, trying to cover her average curved body paired with her faded, tattered jeans hanging just above her ankle that fit her perfectly. She wore some of her accessories to match her outfit. She picks the little ribbon band and places it in her already pony-tied hair.
Pamila was lying in her bed reading one of the books. She had already done her make-up and Georginas a while ago. She looked stunning in her cream halter crop top and white mini skirt.
" Ready," Georgina declares. They both rushed down the stairs. Her parents were sitting in the living room. She had already introduced Pamila earlier before heading to her room.
" Mom, Dad," she started her conversation." Uhm, can I go to my classmate's party tonight? I will be with Pamila. I promise to take care of myself, please..." she sweetly puffed her eyes in their direction.
" I'm sure we will be fine," Pamila seconded.
She didn't have to wait long. Georgina's mother's face registered her excitement. She was thankful she was very supportive. She turned to Georgina's father, giving him a face only they could understand. He smiled back at her and looked at Georgina.
"Of course, dear." she smiled at their consideration.
" Thanks, Mom and Dad" she kissed them goodbye before leaving. Before they left, she wondered what her parents were thinking. She knew they wanted her to get socialized. Maybe that's why her father agreed instantly, they usually were against her going out before, but that was during her junior year. She is already in senior high. Georgina triumphs.
As she opened their door, the gusting wind met her as if giving her stipulation about the coming night. Pamila called her name as she went back inside their house.
"Just leave my jacket, Pam, be right back" Georgina hurried to her room and grabbed the black leather jacket she received for her 16th birthday. She checks herself in the mirror again and smiles at her reflection.
