Chapter 2 Who needs to be an angel

Sheila's POV

"Your attention is needed"

"Where?" I asked, my heart suddenly beating faster than usual.

Have I really been found out?

" Follow me" Clarice replied and did, she was one of the elder angels even though it's quite pituful that she has never had a promotion yet. I followed after her, hoping that I haven't been found out yet.

I was an angel, one who had committed a huge crime. I was harboring feelings for a human!!

I was on a short trip to the world and I fell for him. I have tried my best to stay away from him and this feelings during my stay on Earth but I was unable to stamp out the feelings, it is imprinted on my heart and I can't stop myself from thinking about him.

Sometimes I wish I had never agreed to go to the world but then the feeling of love is so great that I am quite glad for it.

"Sheila" I heard the deep voice and I gulped.

That was the leader of the angels, he was very strict with rules and no matter what type of angel you were, he made sure that he dished out promotions and punishments out thoroughly.

" Do you know why you've been called here?" He asked and I shook my head.

" Lies!"

"A short trip to the world and you, one of the angels has learnt how to lie!" His voice yelled at me and I fell to my knees immediately.

"I do not know exactly the reason why I am here"

" Who is he?" He asked, an image of the human I loved popping up in his wide open hands.

"He... He..."

"Another lie and you'd be sent into the depths of hell" his deep voice echoed in my ears and I gulped hard.

" He is one that I have feelings for" I replied, closing my eyes for a moment while I felt his intense gaze on me.

"You have feelings for a human! Have you forgotten about the rules?! We, angels should protect humans and not fall for them!"

" Sincerely, I am not sorry for having feelings for him, I tried to deny myself but I was unable to"

" Unrepentant!" He spat out and I gulped down, hoping I would not be thrown into the depths of hell.

"You very well know of the rules that exist, right? You have broken the rules and still remain unrepentant, I hope you are very well aware of the punishment that comes along with this"

" Forgiveness is not available for you, it is a grace given to only humans"

" I am fully aware but I could not just deny it" I replied, trying hard to maintain a great composure.

"Your punishment as it has always been is.... You are hereby banished into the world as a fallen angel!" His deep voice echoed in my ears and I shivered slightly.

"But can you please consider my...."

"Nothing is to be considered!"

"I..." Before I could say another word, I could feel myself free falling right from the heavens.

My wings peeled off as I continued to fall, this was it! I am now a fallen angel.

I shut my eyes as I fell endlessly downwards. I opened my eyes minutes later and found a car approaching me.

"Aaaaaaaaargh!" I screamed as I fell to the hard road in front of the car.

The car stopped immediately while I just remained on the floor without any movement of any sort.

I could feel my body in a little amount of pain, it was the first time that I was actually feeling pains, angels do not feel pains and fallen angels only feel half of the pains that human feel.

I heard the door of the car open and then it closed again but I did not raise my head up for a moment.

I raised my face up, raking my hair backwards and getting it out of my face. I saw his jaw drop slightly as he stared at me like he had seen something totally out of the world, well I was out of this world.

"How...how could you have been walking carelessly on the road?" He asked me, his face gaining a strict expression in a moment.

"I... Is that what you are supposed to say? You are not supposed to apologize?" I asked him, getting off the floor.

"Apologize? You should apologize to me, why would you try crossing so absentmindedly on the express!"

"You are being a bully to me"

"You know what? I am not in the mood for this mess right now"

"I am leaving" he added and turned to leave but j quickly rushed to him.

"Leaving with apologizing?" I asked him.

"You should be grateful that I am not asking you to apologize" he replied and got into his car.

"You are really a huge jerk" I groaned, bewildered by his actions.

"If you see one of the girls who are crazy about me, I am sorry but I am not in any way interested in you" he said and drove off.

What... What the heck is he saying? Do I look like I am one of those human girls that go crazy about just one earthling?

I looked around the place, it was totally deserted and there was no incoming car or any other things around.

I crouched to the floor and picked a bit of my feathers that had dropped to the floor.

"I am going to keep you safe to remind myself of when I could fly through the skies" I mumbled and began to walk under the hot sun.

I was faced with a major problem now and that was where I was going to be staying. I knew no one here and I had no money, the human means of exchange too.

I sighed softly and continued my journey.

"I am going to turn out stronger than anyone ever thought. I would find my love and grow with him, who needs to be an angel?"
