Chapter 4 Eliza Attempts Seduction

"Only a few of us survived the accident," Eliza the star said. "We don't know when the rescue team will come. We need to form a team of our own and cooperate."

"Yes, you're right," Tracey and Hazel said.

No one objected, so we were officially a team of seven people.

"We should choose a team leader," said Rosie.

"I recommend Marlon. He has experience from serving in the army," Tracey suggested.

"I agree with you. Marlon looks reliable," Eliza said as she glanced at me.

I didn't refuse. I was now the leader of the team.

"Since I'm the leader, everyone has to follow my orders. This is the only way I can do my best to help everyone survive."

Everyone nodded.

"It's not dark yet, so we still have time to collect materials," I said. "Who will go fishing with me?"

"I will," Tracey said quickly.

Eliza gave me another subtle glance and said, "I'm willing to go."

"Okay. Tracey and Eliza will go fishing with me. We will keep an eye out for other living people and floating goods that we can use in the meantime.

Hazel, Karin, and Rosie, you all go into the forest and gather wood and dry grass. We need to light a fire.

Listen, don't go too far into the forest!"

I turned to Anya. "Anya, since you're injured, you shouldn't be moving around. Rest here and watch the sea for any survivors."

I took out a dagger from my travel bag.

"How did you bring a knife onto the plane?" Tracey demanded. She was a stewardess, after all.

"I have my secrets," I said with a mysterious smile.

Tracey, Eliza, and I went to the shore right by the sea.

Hazel, Karin, and Rosie headed into the forest.

I grasped the dagger and watched the sea intently. There were many fish swimming just below the surface.

Eliza looked back at Anya on the beach, then she glanced at me.

"Ah!" Eliza screamed as she lost her balance and fell towards me.

I grasped her in my arms before she could fall into the water.

Her body felt soft. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"I'm fine. I stepped on a rock." Eliza smiled up at me enchantingly. She regained her footing while leaning against me with her hands on my chest. When she pulled away, her finger gently caressed my chest.

I was stunned.

"I hope you'll take care of me, Marlon," Eliza said slowly.

What did she mean?

I was sure she was trying to seduce me.

I had been in the army for so long. I had to admit that I was drawn in by her. But I knew that Eliza was a star, and was probably only seducing me to take advantage of me.

Besides, my mind was still on my ex-girlfriend.

I didn't know if it was because of resentment or infatuation, but I couldn't move on from her yet. My mind was haunted both by beautiful memories of her, and by the pain she had caused me.

I turned my gaze away from Eliza, even though she was fascinating and had a smile like warm sunshine.

Eliza noticed my rejection. She was shocked and impressed that someone could resist the temptation of a beautiful star like her! The prospect of her failure to gain my attention made her panic.
