Chapter 6 you're telling the truth!

When I finished telling the story, I saw Sophia crying. She wiped her cheek with a handkerchief, and I winced when she breathed there.

"Are you okay?" I asked, but she glared at me.

"Why did not you tell me?!" she also asked and cried even more.

I just laughed. I didn't say anyone about what Robert did to hurt me. Even my parents. What I went through was so painful, and I can't go back to it. But I never thought I would be able to tell Sophia everything without crying. I also feel lighter.

"It was so painful to me then, so I couldn't tell anyone. But I'm glad now. It seems like I've already moved on." I smiled.

I was surprised when Sophia just stood up and came back holding a bread knife.

"What are you going to do there?" I asked.

"I'm going to kill that beaten man! He's a beast! After he enjoyed you, how did he beat you? I'll cut his daks, eh!"

I just laughed and laughed at what Sophia said. Her face was also very angry. It's nice to feel with this friend when she is ready to fight. I wondered if I had told Sophia before, would my life have been easier?

We both stopped when my cellphone rang. I pulled it out and looked at who was calling.

-Speaking of the devil.

"Who is that?" Sophia asked when she saw my grimace.

"The devil in a business suit," I replied and saw that none of her own had lowered the bread knife. I just laughed and answered the call.

"Where are you?" Robert immediately asked, even though I couldn't speak yet.

I looked at my watch. "I still have thirty minutes before my work, Boss," I said, not answering his question.

"You'll go to work today, isn't it?"

I raised an eyebrow. What is this man's problem again? It was very unusual for him to look for me or ask if I was going to work or not.

Wouldn't he have guessed who Yara Winston's father was? Or about us meeting at the mall last time?

I was suddenly nervous at the thought of that.

"Julia?" he nodded on the other line.

I sneezed before answering. "Yes, Boss."

I heard him-sigh. "All right, bring me a coffee when you get here."

Even before I could speak, I heard the dial tone on the other line.

Dropping me off? Talk about manners. Fortunately, Yara Winston did not inherit her father's trait.

"What did he say?" Sophia asked as I hid my phone in the bag.

I shrugged. "Looking for me."

"Do you think he already knows?"

I saw the concern on Sophia's face. I just smiled. She loved my Yara Winston, too. And I am so thankful because even though my daughter grew up without a father, many still love her.

"I don't know. Maybe not yet. Knowing Robert, that wouldn't be a waste of time looking for me then if he knew he had a child."

"What's your plan?"

I was stunned by Sophia's question. I don't know what to do anymore. My mind is divided. When I remember what Robert did to me, I just want to hide my daughter from him. I don't want him to know my daughter. But when I think of Yara growing up without a father, I feel sorry for my baby. I know what it feels like without parents. Even though I was adopted by the Winstons, I still couldn't help but feel that something was missing in my personality.

"Just, fagot ..." Sophia said, so I looked at her. "I'm just here, huh? If you decide to hide Yara from her father again, I'll still support you. I know that your decision will be for Yara's good."

I smiled and hugged her. "Thank you, Sop."

I felt so relieved when I came out of Sophia's coffee shop. I just made the right decision to tell her everything.

I immediately went to the Steele Empire. When I got there, I first went to the pantry and brewed coffee for my boss, who was conceived in the dragon.

I knocked three times on Robert's office and immediately entered even though he had not yet answered. I caught up with him with some papers being signed.

"Here's your coffee, Boss," I said and placed the coffee in front of him.

He took a piece of paper and handed it to me, which I immediately took. "Make a report out of that. I need that for the presentation tomorrow."

"Okay, Boss," I said, but he still didn't take his eyes off me. "Is there ..." I sneezed. "Is there anything that you need?"

"What's my schedule for today?" he asked and leaned back in the swivel chair, but his eyes were still focused on me.

I was nervous again. "A-ahm ..." I sneezed again. "You have a lunch meeting with Mr. Damien Hukwood. At one-thirty PM, you have a business proposal meeting with the Indian investors. At three PM, you a have meeting with the board of directors."

"Is that all?"

"Yes, Boss," I replied and took a deep breath.

I waited for more for him to say, but he just kept looking at me. I pinched my fingers on my hand to relieve the pain I was feeling. But he looked down at my hands, so I stopped pinching and sneezed again.

"Is there anything that you need from me, Boss?" I asked, but Robert didn't speak and just stared at me again. "If that's all, I'll take my leave now," I said and hurriedly turned away.

But before I could open the door, he spoke.

"Yara Winston... Winstons."

I stopped and immediately faced him. I felt so overwhelmed and almost fainted when he said my daughter's full name.

"B-Boss?" I stuttered. I cursed at myself mentally. He shouldn't have noticed that I was nervous.

"That's your daughter's name, right?"

I took a deep breath to calm myself, but I think I was even more nervous. "Yes, Boss."

Robert's jaw tightened. I knew he was angry again. Does he already know? Does he know the truth already?

"Just make sure you're telling the truth, Juli," he said. I shivered at the way he looked at me. "You know how angry I am, don't you?"

I nodded and hurried out of his office. I sat down in my seat and pulled my own hair.

"He doesn't know yet ... He doesn't know yet,...Calm down ...Calm down ..." I repeatedly said to calm myself.

OH God. What should I do? What should I do?
