Chapter 2 Hiding the Billionaire's baby!

"Nanny Ada, take Yara home right after her class, huh? And please be careful.... don't talk to anyone."

"Is there a problem, Ma'am Juli?"

I stopped what I was doing because of a question from Nanny Ada, my daughter's babysitter. Maybe she noticed that I was restless, which was very unusual for me.

"Nothing, Nanny Ada. Just do what I've said, okay?" She nodded, so I turned to Yara, who was sitting quietly on the sofa.

"Hey, baby. Mommy have to go now, okay?"

Pouted, she looked up. "Can you not go to work today, Mommy, please?" My daughter still has puppy eyes, and I felt the urge to just do what she wants.

But I know I can't. I have to get in, especially today. If I didn't go in, Robert would suspect something was wrong. I should act normal.

I was fired again. "Are you Yara's mother or me?"

I waited for my friend to calm down first. I asked for a glass of water on a server and gave that to her.

"What happened?" Sophia asked after drinking the water. She seems to have calmed down as well.

I recounted what happened yesterday, how Yara disappeared, and how I saw him. How Robert looked at Yara and how he asked if it was his daughter.

"You think he has an idea?"

"I don't know," I said.

But who did I fool? Robert won't ask if Yara is his daughter if he doesn't doubt. He must be investigating my daughter now.
