Chapter 5 THE KISS

Emily's POV

Raising my head to check who the person is, I was welcomed with a dangerous glare coming from the lady I saw back in there.

I mean the one I met in his office.

Okay! What the hell is the meaning of this now?

"Excuse me? Do you need anything?" I tilted my head looking at her confusingly.

I don't get a thing here. The last time I checked, I have no business with her, so, why's she here now?

"I saw how he was looking at you... stay clear off my man." She glared hard at me while spilling the nonsense from her mouth.

Ah! Just when I thought I've seen the whole madness in life, then new ones keeps surfacing. For the love of beating, what is the meaning of this rubbish?

"Excuse me?" I tilted my head to be sure I heard what she just said. Why would she think of saying this to me? Why would she even think of approaching me? Heaven knows that I would've shown her the stuff I'm made of but I have better things to do than stay here and drag some shit with her.

"You heard me right. Stay away from my man. I don't know how you're going to do it but I don't want to ever see you in this company, ever again." The idiot said and I couldn't help but burst into laughter.

She's funny, isn't she?

I removed my helmet from my head, and turned my head to look at her.

"To start with, Miss. You are one shameless lady. I mean, we're just meeting for the first time. How could you walk up to me with such audacity and tell me this nonsense? Where's your self respect? And look at me very well and mark my face. Always try to remember it. I want to tell you today that there's nothing you can do about me coming here. I doubt if you're his girlfriend and not one of those bitches he sleeps around with. Don't go find something meaningful to do with your life, but instead, stay here and telling me shits." I snapped at her, before putting on my helmet after which I turned on the ignition.

"And one more thing, I don't see anything good about that dude, my fiance is way more good looking than him just so you know." I smirked at her before riding away while she just stood there like a pillar.

After what seemed like forever, I finally got to the grocery store and got what my annoying boss asked to buy before leaving the store. This man is just going to kill me before my time. He keeps giving me loads of works. I don't know why he hates me this much, I mean, there's a supplier in the café so why do I have to be the one doing the shopping when she's being paid for this?

I just pray to get a better job soon and leave this hell of a job.

After riding for almost thirty minutes, I finally got to the café and parked the courier before stepping down.

Walking my way to the entrance door with the two bags, which contained the things he sent me, I finally got to the kitchen, and dropped everything there before letting out a sigh.

"You must be very tired." Jessy said as she came in and started helping out with the arrangement of the stuffs into the cabinets while I just leaned against the counter.

"I'm seriously tired, Jessy. I don't know why manager Leo keeps giving me so much work maybe he just hates me. For Pete's sake, I just went out to deliver coffee just a few hours ago which is actually my job only for him to call me from there to go get something from the grocery store. Isn't that why we have lot of workers here, huh? What's others work here if I'm the one, going to buy things? Or is she here, doing nothing, and getting paid at the end of each month?" I complained.

"I think there's something going on between those two. I've noticed how close they are lately and I think something is really happening." Jessy stated suspiciously.

"That's their business though. He should just stop stressing me, that's it." I rolled my eyes.

"Emily, your attention is needed by the manager." Came Aaron's voice from outside.

"Not again!" I tamped my feet on the floor frustratingly. Can't I just rest for once in this place?

"Okay. I'll be there in two secs." I said making a puppy face.

"C'mon, girl." Jessy winked at me having a mocking smile on her face. She's just so annoying.

I ruffled my hair angrily before storming out and soon I was already standing in front of his office. I rolled my eyes before placing a knock on the door.

"Come in." His voice came in from inside.

Twisting the doorknob, I peeked in and rolled my eyes before entering fully. Stepping into his office, I found him sitting behind his desk, busy as always.

"You called me, sir." I said, and pressed my lips.

"Yes. We're going to be having an important customer here by tomorrow and so here are the lists of what you'll buy from the mall." He said, dropping a paper on his desk.

I stared at him unbelievably and scoffed. Is he being serious right now?

Without saying a word, I took the paper.

"I'm sending the money to your account, and a payment of a thousand dollars. The accountant supposed to take care of that, but she's busy at the moment." He said.

"What??!! A thousand dollars for a customer." I gasped as Mr Leo snapped his eyes at him and I shut my mouth.

"Okay, sir" I bowed and left his office.

"We're here ma'am." The cab driver announced after minutes of sitting in silence and that was when I realized that we're already in front of the mall.

I paid him and alighted before going straight to the entrance door which opened on its own and soon I was already inside the mall as I shopped for what's on the list.

My eyes darted to my favorite chocolate.

Wow. Manager Leo is not gonna notice if I buy a bar of chocolate from the money, right?

I made to get it when a hand pulled me from behind and before I know what was happening, something pressed on my lips.

NO!! Someone kissed me. My system couldn't function while my eyes widened.
