Chapter 5 I Hate The Word Sorry

MICHAEL'S P. O. V

I was standing by my window when I saw standing by the gate. She wore a short black skirt which revealed her long legs and a shirt that shows her cleavage. She looked very beautiful. In the car, she questioned me but I didn't reply her. I tried to keep my distance from her because it's difficult for me not to admire her legs. I don't even understand what kind of feeling I am having. I just met her yesterday and I can't stop thinking about her. I don't want her far from me and at the same time I don't want her too close to me. Whenever she walks in to my office, I try not to look at her because I can't stop myself from imagining her breasts and body. It was nine o'clock pm when she walked in to my office. She told me she wanted to go home. I nodded my head slightly and she walked out. This is so much unlike me. She must be thinking that I am arrogant and mean. I watched her leave the company in a car.

" It might be her boyfriend coming to pick her up" I said to myself

An hour later, I felt tired and went home.

BRIANNA'S P. O. V

" Girlfriend how was your first day" Antonella asked

"I worked on documents and files the whole day. I didn't even have time to eat" I answered

" What? Why? You should have just taken permission from your boss" Antonella said.

"You think I didn't? I did but my boss is really arrogant. Whenever I talk to him, he doesn't respond. It's like I don't even exist.

" Really? By the way who is your direct boss" Antonella laughs and asks

"My boss is Mr Michael Anthony Craine" I frowned and replied.

" Oh my goodness you mean you are working with the biggest billionaire in the country" Antonella screams

" What is the big deal about that? He is beautiful but he is also arrogant and mean.

"Oh girlfriend forget about that and concentrate on raising money for your studies" Antonella said

" You are right" I said

Antonella took me home and I went to bed after eating dinner.

The next morning, I got to the office a bit late.

I knocked on Mr Craine's office.

I heard his deep voice telling me to come in.

I entered nervously. He was standing by the window.

"Good morning sir" I greeted

He didn't respond and neither did he turn to look at me. I walked out and went to my office. I saw a lot of files on my table and there was a message attached to it

"Please work on these files as soon as possible. Michael Anthony Craine" it read

This man is too much.

It took me three hours to finish the work. I went to his office to deliver the files. I knocked but he didn't respond. I opened the door slightly and peeped inside. I didn't see Mr beautiful arrogant so I sneaked in and placed the files on his table and went back to my office. I read my email and that was when I realised that I was suppose to attend a meeting in the conference room. The worst is that I am an hour late. I quickly rushed there. I opened the door and everyone looked towards my direction.

"Sorry for being late" I apologised. I walked in and stood beside my boss.

"Alright everyone, this meeting is over. Miss Bennett please see me in my office" Mr Michael Craine said

He quickly left the conference room and I run behind him. He got to his office and I followed.

"Mr Craine I am sorry for being late" I said

"Miss Bennett the location of the meeting was in the premises so young lady tell me how on earth is it possible that you were late" he said

"Sir please I saw the email late" I said

"Miss Bennett a normal human being checks their email as soon as the wake up or when they get to their offices" he argued, I realised that he was angry.

"Sir I worked on the files that were on my table as soon as I entered my office. I'm sorry I didn't check my email earlier and sorry for attending the meeting late" I said

" Miss Bennett I hate people who are fond of saying sorry. So avoid saying that word and don't ever commit mistakes. My son told me to give you a chance that is why you are still here. Don't give me a reason to sack you. Now get out" he said arrogantly

"S-s-sir" I tried talking

" I said get out" he shouted

I walked out with tears in my eyes. I have never been shouted at or scolded like this before.

I went back to my office and cried for a while. I didn't see him for the rest of the day. I worked for a while and closed early.

The next day, I didn't see him but there work for me to do. I went to the canteen and heard that the boss has travelled.

"How can he travel without me knowing" I said to myself.

I went to Mr Andrew Craine's office. I knocked and he responded.

"Hello Mr Craine" I greeted

"Hello Miss Bennett" he responded

"Sir please is it true that you father has gone on a trip" I asked

"Yes Miss Bennett" he responded

"Why didn't he tell me. I know I was wrong for attending the meeting late the other day. I apologized and he scolded me. U don't understand why he is still mad at me" I poured my heart out to him.

"Miss Bennett please relax. My father is out of the country on a personal trip not a business trip" he said.

"Thanks for the information Mr Craine" I said and left his office.

Wow I didn't know Mr beautiful arrogant Craine has a personal life. Now I am wondering who the woman

For the next days, I was free I went to work late and closed early too
