Chapter 4 My First Day

BRIANNA P. O. V

After leaving Mr Michael Anthony Craine's office, Mr Andrew Craine showed me my office. My office was next to the ceo's office. It was beautifully decorated in white and grey colour. There was white couches, grey carpet and the window was glass. Inside the office, you could see the streets. I was introduced to some of the workers on the fifteenth floor. They were all males and this means I will be the only female working there. After Mr Craine showed me around, we went to the HR

" Hello Mr Wilson" Mr Craine greeted

" Hello sir please how may I help you" Mr Wilson asked

" Please meet Miss Brianna Bennett she is the new secretary to the president" Mr Craine introduced me.

" Hello Miss Bennett nice to meet you" Mr Wilson said with a smile

" Hello Mr Wilson please nice to meet you too" I greeted back

Mr Wilson offered us seats and we discussed my salary and allowances. I got the know that I will be earning one hundred thousand dollars every month and also will earn ten thousand dollars whenever I worked overtime. After further discussions, we left the HR department and returned to Mr Craine's office.

" Sir thank you very much for giving me a chance" I said

" Miss Bennett I hope you can do a good job for the company" he said with a smile

" I will do my best sir" I assured him

His phone beeped. He looked at it for a while and said " Miss Bennett you can go home and start work tomorrow. Your duties and responsibilities have been sent to you via email.

I thanked him and left.

When I got home, I checked my email and read everything the company sent me. I also decided to make research about Mr Michael Anthony Craine. I typed his name on my phone but didn't find anything about him. I did my personal chores and went for shopping. I prepared for tomorrow. The whole night, I kept thinking about how my first day will be like and I kept thinking about Mr Michael Anthony Craine's beautiful face. I felt nervous throughout the night.

I woke up earlier than ever for the first time. I went to the washroom and did my morning rituals. I checked my phone and realised I have gotten a message and it was from the boss

" Be at my house by seven o'clock and please check your email. Michael Anthony Craine"

I checked my email and saw that I have been emailed with the rules and regulations. I rushed out of the house because it was already six thirty.

I arrived at the address being sent. I couldn't believe my eyes, the boss's house is huge and there are guards at outside every corner of the house. The mansion looked like a palace. I went to one of the guards

" Sir please good morning I am Mr Michael Anthony Craine's new secretary" I said

" Please what is your name" he asked

" I am Brianna Bennett" I answered

He called one of his female colleagues. She took me to a room and searched through my bag. After that, she made a phone call. The main gate opened automatically. I was ask to enter. I entered and was escorted to the main house. I was offered a seat by a man who I think is the butler. Few minutes later, Mr Andrew Craine came down

" Good morning Miss Bennett" Mr Craine greeted

" Good morning sir please can you inform your father of my arrival" I said

" He will be down soon" he said

Mr Craine gave me some documents and told me his father needed them this morning. He asked the butler to serve me with everything I need. I felt shy but I told the butler I haven't eaten breakfast yet. The butler was generous enough to take me to the kitchen and serve me something to eat. I have to admit that if there is paradise on earth then it is this mansion. The kitchen is amazing and everything in the house looks amazing and everything in the house looks so expensive. I returned to the place I was sitting after eating and thanking the butler.

I looked up and saw Mr Michael Craine coming down gently. He looks so beautiful. I have never seen a man like this before. He looked at me for a while and nodded slightly to me.

" G-G-G-Good morning s-s-sir" I greeted nervously.

" Good morning Miss Bennett" he responded

My heart was beating fast. I couldn't believe there is a man like this in the world.

" Good morning Dad" his son greeted

" Good morning son" he responded and turned to me

"Miss Bennett, what are my schedules" he asked

I quickly took my iPad and read to him nervously. A man enters and tells Mr Michael Craine that his car is ready.

"Alright I will see you at the office son" he says gently

He made his way to the entrance and I quickly followed him. There were three cars packed outside. One of his bodyguards opened the backseat door of the middle car which was a Rolls Royce for him. He sits inside and the guard directed me to sit other the other side beside Mr Craine.

" Please use the short road" Mr Craine told the driver.

Throughout the drive, he kept working on his phone. He didn't say a word to me.

"Mr Craine please why did you send me a message to come to your house" I asked

He said nothing

"Sir please I am talking to you" I said but he still kept quiet. I stared at him for a while. He acted as if he didn't hear me. I asked myself why he was giving me cold shoulder.

Soon we got to a gang hangar. Mr Craine's door was opened for him. He got out and walked towards a private jet. I got out and quickly followed him. I saw that it was written on the jet MAC. I quickly run after him. He got inside and I did the same. The plane set off soon. I realised that we were going to a different city.

We soon arrived at a place I didn't know. Mr Craine walked out and I did the same. We got into a car and it set off. I was feeling irritated because he wasn't talking or saying anything to me. The car stopped in front of a huge building and we got out. We entered and some people who seemed like the staff greeted Mr Craine. He walked to an elevator and got in. I tried going in but was stopped by his bodyguard. He opened another elevator for me and got in with me.

"Please sir why did you stop me from getting inside the elevator" I asked

"The elevator you tried getting in is for the boss" he said

"Alright so nobody is allowed inside" I asked

"No" he answered

I was about to ask another question when the elevator down stopped. We went out and I followed the boss to a conference room. Everyone stood up as he walked to his seat. He sat down and I sat next to him.

"Miss Bennett please take note of everything" he said.

It was when the meeting started that I remembered it was the first thing on his schedule today.

During the meeting, I realise that he is not only beautiful he is intelligent too. He solved every issue and answered every question like a pro. The meeting lasted for two hours and I was really bored. The meeting ended and we went back to our city. I spent my first day working on files. I didn't see Mr Craine for the entire day since he was in his office. He didn't call me and neither did I go there. After I was done working on some documents, I went to Mr Craine's office to deliver them. I knocked and he responded I nervously entered and walked to his desk.

"Excuse me sir please here are the documents. I am done working on them" I said

"Put them down" he said without looking at me

I placed them on the table and was about to leave when he cleared his throat. I turned around

" Miss Bennett please email these messages to every department head" he said calmly

" Mr Craine please can I do it after eating, I am really hungry" I said

He stares at me for a while but says nothing

I walked out after a while.

"This man is really beautiful but arrogant and really mean" I said to myself

I sat down and sent the email to every department head. It was almost six in the evening when I completed. I received an email and it was from the boss. He asked me to work on some files.

"Damn it this man is so heartless"

It was nine in the evening when I completed my work. I sent the documents to my boss.

"Sir please it's nine can I go home" I asked nervously.

He gives me a slight nod

I went to my office and took my bag. I called Antonella to pick me up.

She arrived in thirty minutes and I went home.
