He follows her down to the other end of the counter and watches every move she makes. She is starting to feel uncomfortable with this creep that keeps coming around and stalking her.
"Babe why don't you just out with me and all...this, taunting you will end I promise and I always keep my promises."
"Ha, I somehow seriously doubt that it will end. You seem to be a control freak and I despise those type of men, like you I do not like them at all. So do me a huge favor and get the hell out of my shoppe before I call the police and have you arrested for harassment."
He gives her a wink then turns and walks out the door but not without a salute and telling her that he'd see her tomorrow. All she could do was request sometime off for several days and leave the state to find a new place to live and start all over again. The last thing she wanted was to be in the grasp of this creep following her all over town.
Rebekka went home and packed her things, what little she had, put them in her car and took off for the mountains. She had to get away. There she knew she could get a job and establish herself then move back to her home town once again being bigger and better than before.
She settled in hills of Montana where she obtained her dream job of becoming an agent with the government. She went for her training and was stationed in Helena, Montana for a couple years to complete her agent training.
Her job is to git rid of the bad people who rape women and children, sex trafficking, child porn, and all the kinds of abusive criminals out there in the world. She is doing this to help save children of all ages like her friend Leslie and other women in the world. It is her mission in life to help them even if it men who are on the receiving end of abuse which happens but not heard of.
She was gone for about two years until her agency wanted her back in her hometown. She would get a nice pay raise with a title to go along with it and she accepted the position, packed her apartment up and moved.
Her agency put her up in a spacious condo that has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with an office, kitchen, living room to boot. She moved in and put her items away and decorated it the way she wanted to, it was a clean slate for her. She never gave a thought about Carson in the two years she was gone.
She went to her favorite coffee shoppe where she worked and seen some familiar faces although they did not recognize her at first since she had changed her hair color to a lighter color than before and went from waist length hair to just sitting above her shoulders.
"Hi, I will have a mocha latté without whip cream and a shot of espresso to go please."
"My pleasure to get that for you ma'am, may I have your name?"
"You can put Bekk on it please and thank you."
The barista looked up at her and at the customers to see how many others just popped in. Her eyes went wide when she saw Carson second to last in line then looked back at Rebekka. Carly wrote a note telling her to go out the back way so she did not run into Carson.
Rebekka took her coffee and read the note attached to it, looked at her and changed her voice to a deep baritone, "Thank you miss."
Rebekka put her glasses on, walked out the back even though she had her badge and gun on her. When she got out eye sight she looked back at Carson and did not remember how handsome he had looked. He no longer looked like the teenager he used to you but more mature for his age. He also filled out and looked good.
She left and drove to her office and did the unthinkable looking him up. She had taken a picture of him she wanted to know if he had been into any kind of trouble. She put his photo through facial recognition to see if he would come as a criminal. To her surprise there was nothing that came up under the Federal Government Face Rec.
She was hoping to that she would come up with something. She sat at her desk and sighed but went about looking into one of her new cases on her desk. She reviewed it and spoke to her team with this case.
"We have a twenty-seven year old white female with black hair and green eyes who was rapped and ditched four days ago. Apparently nobody interviewed her so we need to check the local hospitals and other police reports and I want to know who, what, where, why, and when did this happen. What events took place before, during and after. Is this a date, did she know her rapist, you know the drill? Gather this information and report back to me, you have twenty-four hours to give me sixty percent of the information. You all are dismissed."
The team dispersed and she gets on the phone and calls the police chief to set up an appointment to meet with them. She meets with the chief and they discuss the case and he directs her to the unit that handles the special victims unit.
She talked to the person in charge of the unit and he told her they were overwhelmed with cases and needed to pass most of them along to someone who could get better answers faster than my unit specially when it involves women and girls and even some men or boys.
She thanked him for his time, left went back to her office.
