They were all going to major in different subjects but it did not matter as they were all three going to be room-mates. But right now it was more important for her to get through high school then to worry about college later.
"Mom I have volleyball practice tonight so I won't be home right after school and me and the girls are going out afterwards so I will be a little late coming home."
"That is fine, dad and I have a dinner party to go to tonight anyway so be careful please."
"You too, mom love you."
She leaves for school and meets up with her girlfriends and enter the school through the main doors. They all head to their lockers and put their stuff up and get ready for their first couple hours of classes.
Rebekka entered her first hour class which is biology and there was a boy in her class she could not stand. He thought he was all that and then some but she would notice that he would come in with bruises on his arms or cheek sometimes even a black eye.
She felt sorry for him but did not bother to talk to him because he was such a jerk with everyone and bullied most of the boys until that day in class. One kid he bullied had enough of his crap and gave it right back to him and when he was getting it he cowered away.
"Not such a tough guy now are ya cry baby?" The kid yelled at him.
He did not say anything and went to sit back down at his desk and sat down with his head down so that he did not have to see all his peers staring at him. Rebekka felt sorry for him but from the other kids point of view he did deserve what he got today.
"Girl did you hear what happened to that guy in first hour?" Leslie asked Rebekka.
"Duh, I was there saw it with my own two eyes. And if you ask me he deserved it for all the bullying he has done to everyone else."
"Yeah but..."
"Really? Really? You have a 'but' for that? Why? He probably gets it at home and that's the only way he knows how to cope with people."
"And you are sticking up for him?"
"Ummm... no I am not why?"
"It sounds like it you are sticking up for him Rebekka," Leslie tells her with a raised eyebrow.
"Have you seen the bruises he has on his face and arms even black eyes?"
"Nope, didn't care to look at the creep."
"He's being abused or he's in a fight club."
"I would say the latter is more likely."
"Whatever schools over and we have practice. Let's go and kick some butt."
The girls crushed their practice and went got showered and changed to go out as a group to a concert for the night. At the concert there were many other students from the school and other surrounding schools.
Leslie saw a tall good looking boy from another school who had dark brown hair with brown almond shaped eyes. She thought he was the cats meow and approached him.
"Hi, I am Leslie who are you if you don't mind me asking?" She asks the tall handsome boy in front of her.
He looks at her with a winning smile; "name is Carson love."
"How do you like the concert so far?"
"They are pretty good for the most part. What about you, how do you like them?"
"EH they are pretty cool, I only like a few songs they have out but not into the punk rock thing too much."
They talked for a while and he had asked her out for a date and got her number before they left the concert. They did not even did not get out of the parking lot when Leslie got a text from Carson telling her how much he can't wait to be with her the following weekend for their date.
The following weekend they met up but she felt like there was something that was just off about him but could not put her finger on it. She was having a good time the entire night he did kiss her but it did not feel right with her. He wanted to go out again with her and she agreed to go on another date but the following weekend as she had practice and homework to do.
The next date she went out with Carson but this time it was not as fun. He was trying his hand at her. He wanted something more than she was willing to deal out. He would not take no for an answer and raped her, took her innocence away from her, she hated him for life.
For the next couple days she skipped school and volleyball practice, she did not even converse with her friends let alone Rebekka. Rebekka went to her house but her mother said she did not want to see anyone and she could not even get her to talk. Bekka left thinking the only way she would have to talk to her is give her homework assignments which she new her friend was missing so it was her mission to get the information and take it to her.
The next day Rebekka called Leslie told her she was coming over with her homework assignments and notes for her to copy down and she was not going to take not for answer. She had to let her come in no ifs, ands or buts about it.
"What's going on Leslie? Talk to me," Rebekka asked hastily.
"It was that guy I had gone out with those two times. It was nothing but bad news, I do not think he should go out with any girl at all."
"Why do you say that? Did he do anything to you against your will?"
"I don't want to talk about it, just drop it. Please."
"You need to talk about it. You will feel so much better about it and who knows maybe save another girls life from that jerk of a kid."
"Well, that kid is not going anywhere anytime soon."
"Leslie tell me, please, what exactly did he do to you?"
"I... um....he wanted more than I wanted to give. He was all hands and would not take 'NO' for an answer. I tried to push him away, even run away from him but he caught me and raped me. I didn't know what to do. He dropped me off at the street corner like I was some kind of rag doll and drove off. I just stood there and stared into the abyss and some cops drove up and talked to me and I told them what had happened.
They took me to the hospital and they did a rape kit on me, took information about the jerk. They arrested him and we are pressing charges against him so this will go on his permanent record."
"Shit, girl why did you not call me? I would have been there for you but I am here now and that is all that matters."
"Thank you, now let me have my assignments and notes to copy. You can copy them while I do the homework."
"You got it bestie, and no more skipping school. Does that jerk face go to our school?"
"Thank GOD no!"
The rest of the afternoon and weekend was spent doing homework between the two girls.
