Chapter 1 Fate

It's a cold winter night. Emily is standing by the window while cool breeze hits her beautiful side face and looking around the room only to see that it is full of roses and candles. She keeps on thinking how her life has changed within a week and now she has become an alpha's wife.

Emily was deep in thoughts when she heard a series of footsteps and was startled.

She then realized that today is her wedding night and the person who is about to enter the room is her new husband William Rostov, the lord of this castle and the alpha of the werewolf's.

Emily took a deep breath to control her panic and before she could turn around, she heard a dark, cold voice,

"What are you doing here?"

Emily was scared by his voice, she turns around and looks at him without looking into his eyes.

In her mind, she doesn't know how to answer his question. So just as others she bended down her head a little, trying to calm her mind and said,

"Your Highness, I was just refreshing myself here".

William replied, "Come inside, I need to tell you something" in his same dark, deep voice freezing her.

Emily just nodded her slightly.

William Rostov is a 25 year old werewolf lord, he is merciless to his enemies, cold, rude, arrogant, clever and is the cruelest in the whole werewolf world. He is known for his cruel and merciless nature in handling his enemies.

Emily is a 21 year old orphan who was found by the orphanage dean at the entrance of the orphanage when she was only 1 month old.

Emily was left in a basket with only a royal purple color blanket covering her and a letter written mentioning her name as Emily Watson.

She was emitting the aura of a born queen and the dean took her into the orphanage as his adopted daughter.

She is a simple college girl, elegant in nature, a little nerdy in nature but kind hearted.

Let's see what fate has stored in for them.

A Greater unity

Fantasy Joanna James

This book came about when I started learning about typology and how Christians read and interpret the Old Testament stories that seem odd and distant from our world today. Many Christians believe that the Old Testament is centered on Christ and that he is the hope those Old Testament stories have for someone to redeem their fallen world. Many books have been written about how to see him in the Old Testament, taking a Christological approach to our reading. Christians will often start with the New Testament and Christ and then try to find places where they can look back into the Old Testament and see where Christ fits in those stories. This is correct to a degree but has led us down a path where we have the answer (Christ) without fully understanding the questions and problems he answers and redeems. We have forgotten the world before the incarnation and cannot relate to the suffering of the time or the problems these ancient people had. Today, we read of Christ's coming and the miracles he performed and are somewhat unfazed by these amazing occurrences. Highlighting that we have an answer (Christ) before we understand the questions and problems (Old Testament), which has led us to discount the answer. One of St Gregory of Nazianzus' famous sayings in response to the Christological controversies of his day was, "What Christ does not assume, he does not redeem." The meaning and redemption come from understanding all the ways the answer (Christ) satisfies and assumes the questions and problems that were present, which cannot be seen with only having the answer. The disciples of Christ and others at his first coming didn't have this luxury of having an answer and then trying to find a problem. To them, Christ was right next to them, living and breathing with them, and his preaching and miracles were seen and brought relief and hope to a weary people. They were living in a corrupted world inherited from their common forefather, Adam. The disciples who followed Christ saw at his resurrection how he answered and fulfilled those Old Testament stories and brought change and redemption to this world. Importantly, in the Old Testament, some patterns seem to be at work, starting from Genesis, that we can follow to the incarnation. These principles help showcase how the Bible is a unified story and how Christ redeems the world of the Old Testament. Can exploring patterns and connections between different stories unearth a unifying principle contained in the Bible? I think so. Narrative provides this ability for us as readers to draw into the story, gaining insight and powerfully embodying it. I find it fascinating to read the Bible as a unified narrative, one that, from beginning to end, is coherent and has a unified message. The Old Testament wasn't just hinting at Christ through prophecy, but by seeing the distinct themes at play-themes that act like laws upon these characters. By approaching a character's actions performed in the Old Testament as a shadow or contrast against the ideal works Christ performed in the New Testament, we can highlight the difference between the two, drawing insight into the stories of both. As Christians, we understand the Bible to be inspired and have a commonality from Genesis to Revelation. So, this book is a small attempt to understand the stories of the Bible that many perceive to have no common unity with the rest of the stories, especially those from the foundation of the world--that being Genesis, starting with the story of Adam and Eve. I will review Adam and Eve's story and examine some of the main takeaways, as well as the narrative instruction we should take and apply to the rest of the stories in the Bible, showing the patterns in Genesis and how they relate to Christ.
