Chapter 5 What a Generous Wife

Carol is frighted. Now Wesley exposes his true and could have done anything.

What can she do now?

She cannot be a piece of meat on the board and let this bastard succeed.

Suddenly, she looks at the door with her wide eyes, "Stella, why are you here?"

On her words, Wesley releases her hands and turns around. At this moment, Carol grabs the bed lamp and slams it to him.

Wesley finds nobody there and realizes she lied. However, it is too late to know this trick and he is hit hard on his head. Slimy liquid runs down from his forehead,and darkness comes over his eyes. As a result, he falls on the bed.

Carol pushes him away, and climbers out of bed. She holds the lamp in one of her hand, and pushes him cautiously with another. Wesley lays on his stomach, deathly still.

She has no fear. Instead, she feels inexplicably excited. She, lifting up the lamp at Wesley's afterbrain, really wants to hit him to death as revenge.

She lifts the lamp high enough without further movement.

If he dies in this way, she is bound to go to prison, and all estates belonging to Jones Family will be in the hand of Stella eventually.

She shouldn't be impulsive and let Stella laugh out in the end. She cannot send him to the hell. The most rigorous punishment on the world is "living death".

Considering this, Carol puts down the lamp, takes off Wesley's clothes on the ground, throws his pants to the end of the bed. She takes lots of pictures of his face without any trace of blood.

As she intends to change another pose for him, she finds that his brows are tightening. He seems to wake up from his breath. No more pictures. She takes all her staff and runs out of the room.

She bumps into a man when she is rushing out of the hotel. She sees stars for a moment and then apologies to the man, "Sorry, I am so sorry."

Kenny's face clouds due to Carol's impudence.

Carol rubs her head and looks up, goggling at him suddenly.

Kenny!

Oh God. How could she bump into him!

Kenny, with his gloomy face, doesn't utter a word. Sophia - the actress next to him is quite impolite, "Did you leave your eye balls at home?"

After scolding Carol, Sophia strokes Kenny's chest gently, "Are you OK, Kenny? Does it hurt? Let me help you rub."

Kenny, with his chilly face, looks at Carol, and indulges Sophia's random rubbing on his chest.

Carol takes a step back. She shows no jealousy. Instead, she slowly comes down.

Kenny married Carol not long before, and they make no announcement to outside. So, there is no possibility for him to recognize her in front of his lover.

It is easy to handle since they are strangers.

"I am so sorry to run into you. It is very late. Wish you a happy night."

Carol bows her head to apologize with a smirking face.

That face really irritates Kenny. She could even smile after seeing that he is together with another woman.

Sophia captures something wrong from his eyes. The woman in front of her is slim, with exquisite facial features and a sweet voice, which threatens her at once.

This woman is beautiful even without makeup. What can she do if Kenny has a crush on her?

"Attention next time. Go away immediately. Don't get in the way."

Sophia drives Carol away. Carol nods and goes away without a glance at Kenny.

Kenny looks at Carol back subconsciously, and Sophia pulls his arm, being cutesy, "Mr. Hawk, let's go upstairs. The director and the writer are waiting for us."

Carol takes a taxi back to the villa and tries hard to remove Sophia from her mind. She changes her household clothes, sends several photos to Stella and calls her.

"Stella, you should keep your eye on your man. You know, he came to me today, went down on his knees for forgiveness. He said you instigated him to do all these. He said you have hircismus, which made him sick. I just have a soft spot. With more than ten years of love, I forgive him because I know he was cheated by you. But comparing with other men, he is impotent. For me, there is no happiness with him. So I decide to give him back to you. Remember, never let him come to me. "

Carol hangs up in the roar of Stella. She says to herself with a murderous voice, "Stella, this is only a start for your pain!"

She throws the phone away and goes to bed. She hears the door lock twisting before falling asleep.

She sits up by instinct and Kenny turns the light on.

After seeing Kenny, she blurts out, "You, you are back?"

Kenny throws his suit on the bed, "This is my house. Why I cannot go back?"

She chuckles without a word. Considering Kenny is her legal husband, she gets up and takes his suit to the wardrobe, "I thought you would not go back tonight."

Kenny hughes her from behind, and presses her back on the wardrobe door, condescending, "I will live with Sophia?" His breath sprays on her face.

Carol is shocked by his action. She continues the talk without any deliberate ideas, "Sophia is beautiful and elegant, with a good figure."

"Are you jealous?" Kenny's finger rubs her chin.

Carol looks at his sharp eyes and shakes her head, "No, I am not jealous. I...I will not interfere with your life and freedom."

"Hmph." The sharpness in his eyes suddenly turns into a mockery, "How generous and sensible my wife is!"

Carol feels a little bitter. "Wife" is just a shameful card in Kenny's eyes. She knows clearly what she is, and she is not qualified to complain. Yes, no need to complain.

"Why were you in the hotel?" Kenny asks her suddenly.

She pushes him away gently, "To see a friend. Do you want to take a shower? I prepare the water for you."

Kenny, with a trace of gloom in his eyes, turns round and takes off his shirt, "Yes, I need you to help me with my bath."

Carol is speechless.

In the bathroom, Kenny, naked as he is, stands under the water, turns his back to Carol and asks her to scrubs his back.

Carol has never been a servant or scrubed others' back, let alone seen his naked body. Holding a bath towel in her hand, she flushed and and closes her eyes.

"What are you doing? Hurry up!" Kenny impatient as he is, urges her.
