Chapter 4 You Son of a Bitch

Stella admits that Carol, elegant and beautiful as she is, has fair skin, pretty appearance, and good figure. She can do nothing but envy to death. She snaps, "Son of a bitch! No wonder Wesley dumped you."

"Interesting!" Carol says, "Speaking of bitch, you are equaled by no one. If Wesley dumps you, do not come to me for comfort."

Stella, flushing with agitation, lifts up her chin, "Wake up, Carol. I know Wesley. He will never dump me."

Carol picks her eyebrows, "We will see."

Seeing that Carol wins the quarrel, Stella is too angry to stay here any longer. She stomps her feet and leaves away.

Looking at Stella's back, Carol's smiles disappears. Her legs are too weak, so she sits on the chair in the corridor. She has to admit that although she has no dignity in front of Kenny, she loses no face in the quarrel with Stella. This victory is owing to Kenny.

Carol hasn't seen Kenny for several days.

Carol hears from Cook Mrs. Hopkins that Kenny hardly goes home. He usually lives outside. Where does he stay? Carol has no interest to know. Kenny seldoms goes home. This is good news for her.

Carol knows roughly about his whereabouts even Kenny stays outside. Why? Cook Mrs. Hopkins likes to watch TV, especially entertainment gossip. These TV reports Kenny's track now and then.

"Mr. Hawk, recently, your company strongly supports Miss Adams for advertisement, image representative and heroine. It is rumoured that Miss Admams is your girl friend. What do you think about it? "

Kenny always gives the media cold shoulder and deigns no answer. "Please do not surmise the relation between me and Mr. Hawk. We will discuss scripts in the hotel later. Any more questions, please attend the launching event of the new play." Sophia smiles decently.

Sophia, clever as she is, never tells the whole story, and leaves the rest to others for speculatation. However, a man and a woman discuss about scripts in the hotel at night. Plainly, her heart is not in the script.

Carol takes the remote control and turns off the TV. She does so not because she is angry about Kenny's rumors with other woman. Instead, she thinks that Kenny will be accompanied and surely will not get back tonight.

She runs upstairs, changes her clothes and leaves away in the dusk of the evening. After several day's inquiry, she has got the address of her father's lawyer - Lawyer Wang.

Carol feels that there must be something wrong with the bestowal contract. If there is something wrong, Lawyer Wang must know the truth.

She hails a text to Lawyer Wang's house. She goes upstairs and rings the doorbell, and someone opens the door.

"Hello, is this Lawyer Wang's house?" Carol asks the middle-age woman who has opened the door.

The woman gives a glance at Carol, "I think maybe you want to find the previous owner of the house. I heard that man is a lawyer."

Carol, with her heart jolting suddenly, says, "The previous owner?"

That woman nods, "I bought this house one month ago. The agency said the previous owner is a lawyer. He made a fortune and immigrated abroad."

Carol hurries to her and asks, "Sister, do you know which country he has immigrated to?"

The woman shakes her head and says, "I don't know."

"Sorry to bother you."

Carol turns away. She doesn't feel upset. Instead, she is more confident in her conjecture.

Lawyer Wang made a big fortune and immigrated, which may prove that Wesley bribed Lawyer Wang, and Lawyer Wang fiddled with the bestow contract. He immigrated abroad after getting a huge sum of money.

Carol trusts her feeling and ratiocination. But who knows the truth except Lawyer Wang?

Carol, immersed in a trance, walks in the night. She doesn't find that a man is approaching to her slowly. Suddenly, a hand reaches out from her back and covers her nose with a pungent handkerchief. She struggles, but ends without consciousness.

She is dreaming, where she, painful as she is, cannot even breathe. She has both heart pain due to Wesley's the betrayal and body pain due to Kenny's seizure.

She, hoping to wake up, does not want to be tortured in her dream. But she can't. She holds her shoulder with her arms, but the weight on her chest makes her breathless.

No. It is too real to be a dream.

It is someone stoles the air from her, which makes her breathless. The hand moving on her body is so real and thus she feels that her whole body, so hot as it is, is set on fire.

She tries to wake up and opens her eyes with all her strength.

What she sees is a big face of a man. She is quite familiar with this face. Once it is gentle and handsome, now she has no feeling except nausea.

She pulls all her strength on the right hand and slaps on that face.

The slap is abrupt and loud. Wesley, who is lost and delirious with closed eyes, is knocked into a cocked hat. He, with his ferocious eyes, covers his face and lifts up his head suddenly.

Carol intents to bend her knees, in order to cripple Wesley's penis. But he has prepared after the slap. With his height advantage and absolute masculine power, he uses his legs to separate her legs.

She panics because she feels his masculine symbol. She struggles desperately, "Wesley, you bastard. What do you want to do?"

Wesley imprisons her tightly with his body, raises her hands on her head to fix. He, with his cold and hideous eyes, says, "Carol, you little slurs, you'd rather sell your body for money."
