Chapter 4 SUSPICION ISN'T WRONG

Gosh shit! What am I saying! Ahhh! Why does Mico have a crush on me? And why did he make a confession right after I broke up with Denver. Wow! Just, WOW! What a great night!

I badly wanted to shout to let my mixed feelings be released but people are already asleep. I don't want to bother anyone so I'm trying my best to suppress my scream.

I sighed deeply and shook my head before typing again.

Me:

Oh, nothing. I'm going to bed.

Mico Teranza:

Me:

Just go to sleep

I've turned off the data because I know our conversation won't end until no one stops us first.

I checked the time and it was already 9:20 pm. "Wow, we talked for almost 30 minutes."

I set the sleep mode of the music and it will stop later after 100 minutes. Then, I started adjusting myself to lay down. When I found myself comfortable with my position, I just stared at the light that could only be seen here in our dark room.

As I kept on staring at the light, I felt my two remaining brain cells connected. I just... realized something.

So, because he's friends with Ashbelle and Kate, I sometimes get along with him, but it's just recently, this last year in our junior high, that's why we're still not that close. He's only getting along well with Kate, the rest, he's just blocking. It's so nice to knock his head.

I always notice him. How could I not... he is always right beside me, like when we're walking... I can't mention it all, it's just he's always beside me. Also, all the things he heard about what I like, all of a sudden he learned to like it. Like, my favorite songs are also in his playlist, he also loves my favorite foods, like that.

I was suddenly suspicious by his changes but I just let my thoughts slide. But, you know? Who else is going to learn to like everything you do? I don't know if I've been too OA but my suspicion that he has a crush on me got worse... at times when I feel like his attention is always at me.

Everytime when I'm with my friends and he's also there, there's a moment when we both speak at the same time... he will stop and let me continue what I'm saying and he listens carefully. And his leg is always pointed at me, it seems like he's really interested in me.

There was also a time that while we're walking, he's on our back, then he suddenly shouted my name. We turn our attention to him and gladly, my body has its own mind to react to the situation where I almost get hit by an ambulance who passed by but we just laugh it off. "You almost get hit." I heard him say that with a mixed tone of mad and concern that made me silent.

"Alla?!" I exclaimed when the song stopped. That's when I realized that I was reminiscing for almost an hour. But, it didn't stop there, I remembered something again. I just realized that I have a lot of memories with him.

So, because it's BER months the weather is cool. My friend and I go to our home to inform my parents that we will sleep to Ashbelle's house. I brought my white hoodie because I easily get cold. When we get back to Ashbelle's house, Mico is still there, helping Ashbelle's Dad to cook.

"Oh, you guys are already here, I gotta go home first," he said and we just nodded.

Everytime we have projects or whatever school works, were doing it on Ashbelle's house. Four of them is on the same barangay and they're just my neighbor-barangay so our house is near to each other, the reason why maybe they let us sleep to Ashbelle's house and our parents have trust on us.

"Let's go and buy some midnight snacks."

Ashbelle is the only one who has cash so we just buy 4 Milo's because we can't afford one anymore. After we went back, Kate said that she needed to go back to their home. They accompanied her and I didn't because I got lazy and my marrowbone got easily hurt and it's already cold outside.

Exactly at the time they leave, Mico comes. "Where are they?" he asked.

"Kate needs to go home so they accompany her."

"Why did you not go with them?" he asked again and finally got in.

"I get lazy." I pouted after I finished having on my hoodie.

"Pft!"

I heard him forcing himself not to laugh so I looked at him in amazement, I then saw how his dimple appeared.

"Luh? Why do you guys only have this?" he asked, wondering while holding Milo which made me laugh. "I go and buy some," he said and put on a white hoodie as well and went out.

"Hey! Wait for me, I'll go with you." I chased after him and he waited for me.

When we arrived at the store, he also bought Milo and some snacks.

"What do you want?"

I raised my eyebrows because I'm surprised by his question but I quickly looked for what I wanted. I smiled while pointing at cloud-9 and he bought five.

We were about to leave when it suddenly misted. We both put on our hoodie hats and started walking. As we walked, I sometimes looked back because I might see my friend also going home, and as expected, I saw them walking so I stopped and Mico stopped too.

He gave me one cloud-9 and I looked up at him, that's when I noticed that I was only up to his chest.

'This is so unfair.' I said in my mind.

"Luh? We thought you guys were a couple!"

Suddenly, I heard Kate's voice so I immediately turned. "Huh? Hahahaha! Stupid," I said and couldn't help but to spank her because I laugh so hard. What a crazy joker.

"Yeah, we thought you guys were a couple, especially you're both in white hoodies," Hannah said. I just laughed and took Mico's three cloud-9s and gave it to them to make them stop from fooling around.

I stopped reminiscing when suddenly the dogs started to make noise. For sure, it's already midnight.

I immediately covered my face and stomped. "Alla, stop now, my brain, please... I need to be early tomorrow, have mercy on me. This is all the fault of that confession." I'm already in tears with so much annoyance. I can not sleep!

I stared blankly again when I realized something. "But, wow? I never knew that we have a lot of memories like that. I just laughed at what Kate and Hannah said about us dating, then... Gosh! Maybe Mico was secretly blushing at that moment! Hahaha!-" I stopped laughing when those dogs started making noise again, scary.

I just closed my eyes and unconsciously said... "After all, I don't look assuming anymore because my suspicion that you have a crush on me isn't wrong. If you had said it earlier, I wouldn't have stopped myself from feeling heaven at all. Oh, right? If only, then you have someone to share your feelings with at that time. Pft! If only I knew... it would've been nice."
