Chapter 5

"Alright, we're going to do a practical." Prof. Kendricks our chemistry lecturer said.

We were doing the volumetric analysis experiment.

I loved chemistry so full of exciting practicals; Science is my thing.

Get out of my head Zeke!

"Are you alright?" someone asked behind me.

I turned and saw the prettiest grey eyes that could make you fall in love.

Damien Clement.

I had cold feet and was numb for a minute

"Yeah..." I trailed off after what seemed to be like forever.

"Looks like we're partners." He said and sat beside me, then we began the experiment by putting the acid in the burette.

"Would you like to do the honors?" He asked.

"Sure." I smile then took the acid and poured it into the burette.

"So I heard Zeke Rodriguez is your roommate."

I put the base in the pipette and put it in the conical flask, "Yes, but I don't really talk to him though."

"That's good because someone like you isn't meant to be seen around him."

"Why's that?" I queried.

"I mean you're so sweet and innocent, you wouldn't want him to screw you." He said.

"What does that mean?" I asked.

He looked behind him then faced me, "Just take a look over there."

I turned back and saw Zeke making out with his partner, Mandy.

Ew

"He knows how to get a girl to his bed and as his roommate, it'll be a shame if you know."

"I'm not that kind of person just so you know," I said already sounding a little pissed off.

"Good," he smiles, "You are different from other girls, so intelligent, smart, funny and you've got self-respect."

I felt my cheeks heating up again.

Commonly get a grip on yourself, nerd.

"Hey I'm having a pool party this Saturday, wanna come?" He asked.

Did I just get invited to Damien's Baxter pool party?

Pool parties or even regular parties aren't my things but I can't turn down a pleasant invitation, especially with those cute eyes.

"Sure but if only my friend comes along," I said.

"Great, see you later." he smiles.

Ciara's gonna go crazy when she hears this.

"You mean freaking Damien Clement invited you to his party?" She queried.

"Yeah," I replied for the hundredth time.

"Omg, I can't believe this, wait a minute, was I invited?" She asked.

"Duhh, yeah."

"Ahh!" She exclaimed tapping her feet rapidly as she flung her arms and hair.

"Ciara shush," I said and pulled her to her seat.

"Yo ladies!" Isaac yelled.

Nearly half of the students in the cafeteria turned to look at us.

I think I'm gonna die...

Isaac and Cole walked up to our table and sat.

"What's going on over here?" Zeke asked and took a seat beside me.

"That ain't your fucking business!" Ciara half yelled.

"That's rude," I said.

"Yeah right," she said sarcastically.

I took a deep breath, "Well I got invited to Damien's pool party."

"Damien," Zeke scoffed, "He's a jackass, I'd have declined if I were you."

"He's fucking much better than," Ciara said.

"Language!" I said.

"Sowwie." Ciara cooed at me.

"Why is he staring at you?" Zeke asked.

"Dummie isn't it obvious., I ship them," Ciara said.

"He really annoys me," Zeke said.

"Dude man, you don't even speak to that guy and just overnight, he annoys you." Allen laughed.

"Nah, everyone just annoys Zeke, except me," Isaac said.

"Why's that?" Allen asked.

"Because he loves me," Isaac said and then earned a punch from Zeke who then stomped out.

"What's wrong with him?" I asked.

"Don't worry, he'll get over it, always gets high on some shitty stuff," Allen said.

"Shitty stuff?" I asked.

"He means cigarette," Isaac said.

"Zeke was right man, she's a nerd," Allen said and laughed.

Zeke actually spoke about me?

My face flushed at this and I wiggled my toes in my converse.

Why do I feel this way?

"Wait what did he say her name was?" Ciara asked.

"He called her Witch Tiffany," they replied.

"Zeke actually remembered your name, well almost." She said.

"I'm no witch!" I retorted.

"Tell that to Zeke," Allen said.

"You guys are such dickheads, common Tiffany let's go," Ciara said and pulled me up from my seat.

"Love you too baby!" Allen half yelled.

They aren't the dickhead, Zeke is.
