Nicole Morgan woke up in an unfamiliar bed completely bare, she was puzzled.
When she moved a bit, there beside was a warm and robust... man's body?!!
Nicole immediately covered her mouth that she didn't scream right away. Some vague memories flooded into her mind...
***
Last night, in dizzying, she was held by her bestie Fiona into a hotel room.
"Get in there you bitch! " Fiona threw her heavily on the bed and firmly closed the door of the dimly lit room.
"Who are you? How can you into here?" That was a low, magnetic male voice.
Nicole, whose consciousness gradually got confused, couldn't identify the voice.
Nicole only felt hot and there was fire arousing from her heart. This feeling of exhilaration was weird and strange, wile this sexy male voice seemed to be inviting her. She lost her last ounce of control and wrapped her arms around the man's neck and pressed her soft lips to him and passionately kissed him.
"Are you sure you want it?" The man's voice sounded a little hoarse with a hard restraint.
This was the last sentence that Nicole heard before loosing her mind.
"Yes, help me..." By instinct, Nicole stroked the man's body indiscriminately. She felt even hotter and wanted more. Then she held the man tighter and climbed her slender legs on his strong and lean waist.
"Fuc..." With a low curse the man rolled over and pressed Nicole down on the bed.
At first, with the man's touch, the heated alien and dryness in Nicole's body's seemed to be soothed. Next, a piercing pain suddenly made Nicole's tears out. But soon, with the gentle and rhythmic swing of the man, the pain slowly gone and replaced by an amazing pleasure. Finally, Nicole only remembered a tremendous satisfaction surrounded her...
***
'No no no! What the hell I'm thinking about!' Nicole patted her face to regain her senses. The aches and pains in her body told her that what happened was not a dream. Rubbing her nasal bridge, she tried to recall everything that happened to her yesterday.
Okay... I remember Gregory telling me that he had a surprise for me, and told me to wait for him at the hotel room 1010. Then Fiona brought me a glass of water and led me.... and I drank that... Those two bastards!' Nicole narrowed her eyes and teeth clenched.
She looked again at her side, the man was still sleeping soundly, his handsome face suddenly stuck all her thoughts. In the dim room light, he looked so attractive that Nicole could hardly move her eyes away.
The quilt was wrapped around his waist, revealing his beautifully shaped chest muscles and firm arms. His eight pads were half-covered under the quilt.
Looking at this stunning handsome man, Nicole sighed in her heart, 'Although it's my first time, after all, it's with such a hot guy. Well, I was drugged and you helped me. Then we're even.'
Nicole gingerly got out of bed and picked up her scattered clothes from the floor.
As she tiptoed to the door, she subconsciously glanced at the door sign. It's... room 1001?
'Stupid Fiona, so did she send me to the wrong room?'
Thought about something suddenly, Nicole retreated back into the room.
She took out her wallet, pulled out all her money, and placed it all on the bedside cabinet, 'Alright, this time, I really owe you nothing at all. Byee- Mr. Handsome, and see you never again!'
Upon out of the hotel, Nicole immediately took a taxi to her boyfriend, Gregory's house. She's going to ask him for the truth.
Before she opened the door, she had envisaged a myriad of possibilities. But what lay before her was indeed the one she least expected-clothes were scattered all over the floor from the door to the stairs. She could recognize that there was even a dark blue tie she had gifted to Gregory. Now it was on the ground like crumpled garbage. The moans of excitement waft from the bedroom.
"Oh Gregory, you're my soldier! Ah, again and deeper!" It's Fiona with no doubt.
"Baby you're so beautiful and good at it, oh..." Gregory's voice was definitely rapturous.
"How does it compare to Nicole? Who's better?"
"You're the best, love. Don't mention about her at this wonderful moment. She didn't even allow me to touch her!" The bed was still creaking as their thrusting while Nicole heard a sneer from Gregory, " Then let this hypocritical and pretentious woman make a sacrifice for our business. See if she regrets not letting me do her when she's under that old man's lean stick."
Hearing their words, Nicole was trembling with fury. She couldn't stand it anymore and grabbed a high heel shoe on the floor and threw it to the bed towards them, "Remember close the door next time! You're so shameless and disgusting, makes me throw up almost!"
Gregory stared blankly at the sudden appeared Nicola, but there was no guilt or lingering on his face.
Fiona, on the other hand, stood up from the bed justifiably right in frond of Nicole, draped herself over Gregory's shirt, and not embarrassing at all, "Nicole, now that you've seen it, I'll be straightforward to you. Gregory and I-
"Nonono, put on your clothes first!" Nicole sided her head away and squinted her eyes as if something was hurting her sight, "Even if you like to show yourself this way, I have no interest in such a scene of the red-light district."
"YOU!" Fiona pointed at Nicole angrily but couldn't say anymore words.
Nicole turned to Gregory and laughed indifferently, "You did that to me, is this what you are all about? You fancy such a woman as your type?" Obvious disgust was in Nicole's eyes.
"And Fiona, I used to see you as my best friend and took care of you. You see, I was just afraid to tell you this because it might hurt your feelings, but ever since we were kids, the clothes you wore were my old clothes and the things you used were also my old stuffs. But I didn't expect you to even pick up a second-hand man from me. Isn't that funny?" Ninole smiled disdainfully, "It seems that you only deserve the used trash I don't want anymore."
These words shot the most hurting point of Fiona. Her father used to be the driver of the Morgans. She was vain by nature and felt inferior because of her humble background.
Not even waiting for Fiona to retort, Gregory, who was still bare in the blanket, pointed at Nicole and cursed in shout, "Nicole, who do you think you are? What I hate most is your pride! You are no longer the honorable Miss Morgan from that great family! Don't forget your father dead and your family fell! Now, YOU, are the one I don't want anymore!" Apparently, he was furious as being described as 'a second-hand man like trash.'
Gregory then showed a vicious smile, "And you don't have to speak lowly of Fiona and me. Dare you tell me, last night, I asked you to come to me, but who did you stay with and what did you do over this night?"
Hearing Gregory's questioning and seeing his smug look, Nicole confirmed that the matter was really related to the two of them.
She remembered something. He had recently lost a large amount of money in his business. A managing director of a major public company offered to help finance Gregory's project and there was only one condition-Nicole should serve him for a day.
Definitely, Nicole refused. But she didn't expect Gregory to use such a disgusting trick?
Nicole knew that Gregory was a very conceited man, as well as selfish, and he also had a grudge against her for not giving him her first time. She decided to piss him off and provoked him, "Last night? That's a good question. I have spent a wonderful night with a super hot guy who's in perfect shape and also highly skilled of that, you know."
"You bitch! That's impossible!!" Gregory really stormed out, his red eyes glared at her, and gnashed his teeth, "Mr. Ben was almost fifty. He's greasy and fat. You lying!"
Nicole then revealed a sweet and clever smile, "Right, that's what I need to thank Fiona." She turned to confused Fiona, "Last night, you sent me to room 1001."
Both of these two were completely frozen. With a scoff, Nicole turned around and walked away with her high heels like an elegant queen. Her heels was clicking crispy against the floor. At the door, she stopped, "I forgot to tell you, Gregory. I've received the offer of Manhattan University and School of Business. I was thinking about how should I explain to you about my leaving, but now it is no longer necessary. "
With the jealous eyes of Mary, Nicole left without anymore looking back this time.
Meanwhile, in the room 1001, Kerr Graham was sitting on the bedside and looked at the money in front of him with a gloomy face.
When Kerr woke up, that little woman had already gone. What she left was only a stack of money with different notes. Kerr even counted it, it's 2462 dollars. Obviously, she must have taken out all her cash and ran away!
In his 24-year life, he had never encountered such a situation before, and neither no woman had ever dared to treat him with such audacity, "What did she think I am? Did she think she was buying me for one night like a prostitute?!"
Anger rose up within him, and Kerr called his assist with a long face, "Ask the hotel manager to check the CCTV, I want the person who was in my room last night. Bring her to me at whatever cost!"
Kerr didn't care the assistant's obsequious voice on the other end of the phone as these was a small glinting thing on the pillow caught his sight. It was a special small diamond earring. A glint of chill light flashed across his eyes, "You little woman, you can't escape."
His assistants have always been reliable, Kerr believed.
One day had passed, there was no information; three days had gone, there wasn't anymore news; one month flashed away quickly, the trace of her was nowhere to know; three months ...
... ...
That was a beautiful afternoon and everything was perfect except Nicole's flight had delayed for almost one hour. But this did not affect her good mood at all.
She walked out of the exit, and such a beautiful young lady could certainly attract the attention of others. She's at her mid-twenties, long hair hanging over her shoulders, and no makeup on her face. Even she dressed very simple -- a white shirt and faded, blue jeans, she just stood out in the crowd with her pure beauty.
"Well, we are finally back!" Nicole closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Nicole only carried a small handbag on her arm... Beside her, a cute and innocent boy tottered after her, dragging a big suitcase with great effort. There was totally no complain on his face showing that he was responsible to be a little gentleman.
There was a man in a light gray suits already waited them at the gate. He wore gold rimmed glasses and looked gentle and handsome as every his move attracted all the females' attention around him.
Is that Baron Moreno?' Several girls around had recognized that this handsome man was the heir of the Moreno Group, which ranked second in Alephis City. In all of the city, the Moreno family was only considered inferior against the Graham family. But even so, it didn't really matter since they were still incredibly rich.
"Aaah! He's so handsome!" a girl squealed in admiration while one of the girls in all high-brand dressings had already strode up to Baron.
"Hello Mr. Moreno. What a coincidence that to meet you here. I'm I was wondering if you would like to have a cup of coffee with me?" The girl smiled confidently and gorgeously.
"It's my honor and I'm rather pleased to have coffee time with such a beautiful lady. " But his next words made the beauty's smile freeze, "But so sorry, the person I'm waiting for is there-Hey, honey, I'm here."
At that moment, Nicole also just noticed Baron who was waving to her and beside him the beautiful girl who was staring at her with envious and jealous eyes.
'Ugh, the same old drama one more time. He must be using me as a shield again.' Nicole looked at Jay, the little gentleman after her. This little guy had also put on a understanding look. Cursing in her heart, she walked up to them and faked a sweet smile, "Darling, have you been waiting for a long time?"
Baron then gave her a doting smile and naturally held her in his arms, "Not that long, love."
The little boy beside him also put his arms around his legs and said in a childish voice, "Daddy!! I missed you so much! Humm... where did you got the awful smell of perfume?" He even dramatically pinched his little nose.
The girl around him coughed awkwardly and fled away with embarrassment.
"Aha, Jay, I missed you too. Okay, let's go!" Baron laughed in good mood and took the suitcase from Jay's hand and put him sit on it. With the girls reluctant eyes, he hled Nicole in hand and towards outside the hall.
As soon as they got on the car, Nicole pinched hard on his waist, "I swear this is the last time you can use me as the shield from your fan club!"
"Come on, Nicole! You are my best friend when we were in Manhattan. Besides, who else can help me aside from you?"
He looked at the suitcase behind Jay with a raised eyebrow. "Really? You and your son haven't come back for six years and that's everything you brought with you?"
"Mom said that If there is something we need, we can buy it here. I also agree with that as it's the most efficient way," Jay said with a serious look, like the child who just hugged Baron's leg and pampered has absolutely nothing to do with him.
"Yes. " Nicole stroked his head approvingly.
Nicole was so pride of her son while Baron shook his head in disagreement, "Hey, Jay is only six years old. Even if he is a genius, you don't have to teach him in such a cold way! As my saying, silly babies are the cutest. Isn't it, my good son?" Baron then reached out and tried to strok his head too.
The little boy patted away Baron's hand in disgust, looked at him coldly while speaking, "You are safe in the car and there are no other women to bother you. I don't have to pretend to be your son, Uncle Baron." Jay particularly emphasized.
"Jeez, Nicole Morgan! See? What a good son you've got!"
With a smug smile, Nicole shrugged and looked out the window at the familiar scenery.
Baron had never won this mother-son pair. He sighed helplessly and changed the topic, "After so many years, finally you back there with Jay. Is there any special reason?"
At Baron's words, Nicole had a moment of silence, as if she was seriously thinking about his question.
She was barely 18 years old when she left for Manhattan seven years ago. Living alone, Nicole was in low spirits. And then, her whole life took a turn, Jay was brought into her life. Although she did not know the man she spent the night with, she took the child as the most precious gift of all.
The life of a single mother is not easy. Luckily, Baron did help her a lot then.
"Why I'm back now... Hmm, for getting Jay a fater?" Nicole winked to Baron and giggleed a smile, "Kiding. I just thought that bringing Jay here he might be able to make more local friends, and also, the job opportunity that the Graham Group offered me was really good. I want have a try."
In fact Nicole did think about whether to help Jay find his father, but not everyone can accept a son who appears out of nowhere. No to mention she could hardly remember what he looked like, she could only be sure that he was a handsome man.
"Don't be upset, silly mother. I know it's good to have a father. But either way, it doesn't matter that much if I don't have one!" The understanding little guy seemed to have read her mind.
"What, I be your father, you be my son, haven't it always been great, dude?" Seeing Jay's disdainful eyes-rolling, he then turned to Nicole, "What do you think, Nicole?" Actually, Baron wanted to confence it to Nicole long ago. He just... He hated himself for his cowardice.
Nicole just shook her head helplessly and sighed, "Dear Noble Mr. Moreno, it's about time you could get yourself a girlfriend. I'm really tired of playing this substitute role."
He knew that she had never had this vision of the relationship between them. He changed the topic, "If you want a good job, why not go straight to my company? The Moreno Group is nothing worse than the Graham Group. Besides, don't you know what a terrible person Kerr Graham is?" he remarked, half serious and half teasing.
"Of course to get you a place to find a girlfriend! They all think Jay is your son." Nicole teased back. Then she thought of something, "You've already do me a big favor. How about the school arrangements for Jay?"
"That's not a big deal at all. Once they hear that Jay is a kid of genius who has won so many trophies, all schools are eager to have him. Report tomorrow at the Top one school in this city." Baron said with some pride just like talking about his own son.
"Mom, you'd better worry about yourself rather than me. Tomorrow is also your first day to work. I don't want to starve to death because you got fired." Little Jay said as he struggled to carry their luggage upstairs.
Seeing mom and Baron start excitedly discussing what to eat for their first meal back home, and didn't notice at all about coming to give a him a hand, Jay sighed in his heart, 'Who's the adult of this family?'
The next day morning. After breakfast, Baron drove Jay to the school. The process of reporting might take some time, so Nicole took a taxi to the Graham Group.
Upon arriving, Nicole couldn't help but think that the president of this company truly had a good taste. The whole floor was made out of glass, making it look so neat yet elegant. There was only one problem...
How could walk on this!? It just looks so slippry!'
Nicole looked at her 8 cm high heels helplessly. She secretly admired those women in front of her who were walking over the floor as fast as flying. She gritted her teeth and took a determined step forward.
Just as she made her first step carefully, a handbag of a lady in a hurry to work gently brushed against her arm. She lost her balance immediately and about falling to the slick floor.
Nicole even closed her eyes, 'No! Such a shamefull thing really had to happen to me on my first day of work!?'
Nicole tightly closed her eyes. She had even figured out how to get up from the ground to be as elegant as possible right in this 0.01 seconds. However, this fall, for which she had been prepared, did not come.
A pair of powerful arms held onto her.
Peering open her eyes slightly, Nicole saw a gentleman in neatly tailored suits holding her by her waist. Nicole was about to say thank you, but her words stalled. She felt that the feeling of be embraced by this man was somehow familiar...
The man was robust and tall. Nicole lifted her head and began to take a good look at the man's face. It was like he was perfect sculpture carved by an adept craftsman. As she tried to think about where she had saw this man before, the man let go of her without a second thought. He saw the way she was staring at his face, and raised an eyebrow at her.
"Enjoying staring at me?"
Shit! What am I doing!' Nicole cursed in her heart. Standing straight up, she straightened out her clothes and put on an elegant smile.
"Oh sorry, Sir. By the way, thank you." She was polite and also condescending at the same time.
Kerr had just let go of this woman he had just helped. When she was staring at him, he thought she was no different from the other women who'd fawned over him. Immediately afterwards, he saw the woman quickly return to her proud demeanour. Kerr chuckled softly, 'Huh... This woman was... interesting.'
Squinting his eyes, Kerr suddenly had a feeling that he had seen this woman before. Seeing Nicole was in a formal attire, with a frown, he turned to his assistant.
"Is she one of our staff?" he asked in a low voice.
"Mr. Graham, this is Ms. Nicole Morgan who just graduated with a PhD from Manhattan University last month and also hired as our new CMO (Chief Marketing Officer). Today is her first day in our company." Then the assistant turned to Nicolas and gave a polite nod and said, "Good morning, Ms. Morgan. This is the president of our company, Mr. Kerr Graham."
The assistant's words obviously surprised both of them. Kerr just raised his eyebrows slightly, and Nicole almost opened her mouth in shock.
'No way! It was my first day at work and I got embarrassed like this in front of the legendary Kerr Graham!?' Nicole just wanted to bury herself in a hole in the ground at that moment.
Thinking of what her son said to her, she was so sad that she almost cried out. 'Jay, it seemed that mom could not keep this job for more than just one minute!'
Kerr looked at Nicole up and down with a mocking expression.
"The new CMO?" There was a hint of disdain and doubt in his tone.
