Chapter 1
I sighed loudly as I put on my headphones and scrolled down the screen of my phone in search of music or anything to keep me busy.
It has been six months since I've been waiting for the admission letter into the college of my dreams.
Holland College.
Oh, how I love that place.
It's a private college.
It was a dream place for any young teenage girl like me would love to go to.
Besides my girl bestie, Ciara already got admission in and is hoping I get to join her soon enough.
I sighed again before pressing my thumb on one of Taylor's Swift songs.
I love her songs and I see her as a model.
I hummed the ongoing song as I walked down the stairs, then headed to the kitchen.
I brought out a box of cereal.
Frizzle pops.
Oh, how I love this cereal.
I grinned as I poured a large quantity in a bowl, added milk from the carton, and stirred it up.
I walked to the living room, then picked up the TV control and walked up to my favorite seat.
It was the best seat to view the TV and the closest to the refrigerator.
Then I switched on the TV and put on teen wolf.
I ate while listening to music and watching TV.
If mom would have seen me, she'd have concluded that I'd gone insane.
After hours of watching, I didn't realize I had fallen asleep till the doorbell rang.
I hurriedly took off my headphones and returned the bowl to the kitchen and then rushed to open the door, it was my mom and she held a file in her hands.
"Hey, mom," I said and she smiled before pulling me in for a tight hug.
"My sweetheart, I'm so proud of you," she said releasing me.
I gasped a little for air, "You've always been."
"But today's own is so special," she said and handed the file over to me.
I hurriedly opened it and brought out the paper in it.
I gave mom a questioning look and she gave me the 'go on' look.
"Dear Tiffany Jones, your approval to join College of Holland has been approved, we would like to have you in our midst anytime from now." I read out loud.
STOP THE TRAIN!
OH, MY BRAIN!
"I'm finally in!" I yelled and then shut my mouth when I realized I was a little too loud, and mom hates noise.
Mom only giggled and pulled me in for another round of the air squeezing hug.
"Now you'll need to get everything you need." Mom said giving me a peck on my cheeks.
My smile faded when I then realized that I'd be leaving Aiden behind.
He was a very close friend of mine since middle school and hoped that we'll enter the same college.
He'd tried convincing me to go to our home's college.
I was reluctant because I'd always liked Holland College right from middle school...and because my brother currently stays there, besides it's only like 52 miles away from home.
I debated on whether to call him or not and ended up dialing Aiden's number.
He picked it up and I breathed in and out before placing it on my ear.
"Hey, Aiden," I said.
"Hey, Tiffy," Aiden said.
"So uhmm I got the admission."
"Woah, seriously I'm so proud of you girl."
"Like seriously you're not mad at me."
"Why the hell would I be mad at someone's success."
"Yeah."
"Life goes on."
"Bye."
I cut the call without waiting for his response.
It's gonna really hard for me to leave Aiden behind.
Well like he had said...life goes on.
...with or without you.

Chapter 2
"Wow." was all I could say as mom parked the car in front of the college.
An enormous gray stoned manor towered above us.
I was marveled at its size, probably seven times bigger than my house.
"I'm glad you like your new hostel." mom said.
I gripped the car seat, wincing at her words. You could say I was shocked to death.
Everything seemed to move so fast.
Just two days ago, I was seating on the sofa, with my phone and frizzle pop in front of me.
And here I am, going to be parentless, in college.
Before I could say anything, mom honked the car twice.
"Mom, what are you doing?" I asked nervously.
Yeah, I was nervous about meeting new people.
"I'm just alerting Cole," mom said and hopped out of the car before I could respond.
I heard the trunk of the car open and my suitcase was dragged out.
"Oh shit!" I muttered.
Cole was dressed in a white rugged shirt and shorts.
He spotted me and then waved at me, but I was glued to my seat.
He opened the door and plopped into the driver's seat, with a grin on his face.
"Welcome to college life," he said.
"Yeah," I murmured.
"Try not to miss mom too much," he said and leaned to give me a wet kiss on my cheek.
"Ew." I grimaced as I rubbed my wet cheeks ignoring Cole's laughter.
"Common kids get down." mom said.
I took a deep breath, opened the door, and got down.
"Tiffy!" I heard a familiar squealing coming from nearby.
"Ciara?" I called.
"And here comes the dorky stuff," Cole said.
I gave Zoey a warm hug.
She still had adorable body features, her medium black curly hair, her light skin, and a body to literally die for.
"I've missed you so much!" I exclaimed.
"You're finally here, now I don't have to worry too much about myself," she said.
"I can't wait to go shopping and get new shoes and the latest wears...oh my gosh, we could get matching outfits-" Zoey ranted.
Cole quickly interrupted, "Right after she settles.", and I couldn't help but giggle.
"I guess this must be your new baby sister you were talking about." a blonde guy said.
Baby?... I turned and looked at Cole.
"You act like a baby," he said and laughed.
"I'm Allen," he said.
"And I'm Isaac, nice to meet you." a guy with dyed orange hair said.
"Tiffany," I said.
"Woah woah woah, that's enough, she's ought to get some rest after the long ride," Cole said and pulled both of them away.
"Common let's go get your room key," Cole said.
All this while mom was standing beside her car I rushed to her and gave her a warm hug.
"I'm gonna miss you, mom," I said.
"Make sure you call." mom said and kissed me on my forehead.
I sadly watched as she drove away.
A hand went across my shoulder, "That's the same way I felt when mom left me." Cole said.
I placed my wet face on his body.
Why do I always have to overreact?
"Common let's get you your key, we'd visit soon," Zoey said patting me on my shoulder.
I dried my face and walked alongside them.
Cole took me to the reception and we walked in.
"You must be the new girl." Miss Lana said and lifted a folder.
"Miss Tiffany Jones?." She said and looked up at me and I nodded affirmatively.
"Good here's your key and card, so your dorm is on Prestwick side level 3 room G89," she said and opened a drawer then gave me a key and a card.
I took it then thanked her before I left with Cole.
"I'll come to check back on you later," Cole said.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure that I can find my way around the building and take care of myself. Thank you, please."
"Aww, you grew up so fast. Reminds me of the day that you were still in kindergarten," Cole cooed, placing his hand on my hair.
I smacked it off and then walked towards the route of Prestwick's side, then I spotted my room number on a door then inserted the key into the keyhole, and pushed the door ajar.
The room smelled of mint and its skin was pink and blue. There was a grey carpet on the floor.
Is my roommate a girl cause I'm not really a fan of pink, but the blue kinda made sense?
I pulled my suitcase inside the room and shut the door behind me.
By my left was one good-looking bed and by right was a rumpled and messy bed.
Each of the mattresses had quilts on them and it looked so cuddly.
Then a study desk and desk chair, papers and a laptop were on top of the desk and a TV right in front of the sofa.
There was a refrigerator with loads of junk foods...
Yay!
I pulled everything out of my suitcase and started putting it away in the drawers since the wardrobe looked occupied.
I undressed then wore a bathroom robe and a shower cap then walked to the bathroom and took a quick shower.
When I got back to the room, I took off the shower cap and began comb battling with my hair, I later succeeded in packing it in a messy bun.
I then opened the drawer and brought out my innerwear I put them over me and tossed my bathrobe on the sofa.
Then I put on a 'Nerd rocks' outfit and then began searching for denim shorts to put on.
After some minutes I found light blue denim shorts and put them on.
"Nice ass." a deep voice said.
I gulped instantly...

Chapter 3
I turned immediately and saw a guy seated on the rumpled bed.
My cheeks burst with color and a strange heat rocked through me. My nerves were on fire. My heart was having a seizure.
"How long have you been here?" I managed to ask.
"Can't tell," he answered getting off the bed.
Oh my gosh! he probably saw me dressing up.
"Are you here to clean off because I don't remember calling the janitor," he said and sat on the bed.
"This is my room." I said pointing at my suitcase, "Get used to it."
He cocked his head right and walked closer to me.
He was good six feet tall above my 5'4 height.
He had tousled light auburn hair that stuck out in some places.
It covered most of his forehead and reached his chocolate brown eyes.
They reminded me of the eyes of a puppy.
I guessed that's how he gets the girls.
He wore a dark blue tank top, shorts, and converse.
"You're my new roommate?" He asked with a slight frown.
"Yeah," I mumbled.
"Name?"
"Tiffany."
The door flew open and Cole was there.
The guy's face immediately lit up, "Jones." he called.
"Zeke man, how're you doing?" Cole asked and they did their handshake-hug guy thingy.
"Great, until I had to share my room with a nerd," he said.
"Dude that's my sister," Cole said.
"Woah!, I had no idea but she ain't cool like you," he said.
I know that...duhh!
They soon began talking like some old friends and forgot about my existence in the room.
I took some books out of my suitcase and placed them on the study desk.
I felt insecure about sharing a dorm with Zeke.
I studied the timetable then put on my converse and then took the books I needed for the lecture.
I opened the door and walked out of the room.
People in the hallway kept on looking at me, be like 'Who's the newbie?'.
I almost bumped into Ciara as a result of not looking at where I was going.
"Ohh my gosh! you look so gorgeous!" she squealed and hugged me again.
"Aww, thanks so do you," I said.
I mentally face palmed myself, I mean I had no idea what she was putting on.
"You're doing that thing that you'll mentally facepalm yourself?" She asked and chuckled.
"How do you know that?" I asked amazed.
"How wouldn't I know my bestie," she said.
We both walked into the lecture hall and took seats beside each other.
I opened the huge textbook I had with me and began flipping through the page.
"Who's your roommate?" She asked.
"Zeke," I said.
"Girl, if it's Zeke Rodriguez, then you better get another dorm," she said with a knowing black American voice.
"Why's that?" I asked.
"You see, Zeke doesn't like sharing room with people especially girls so he's gonna get you transferred to another room, or rather you'll transfer yourself," she said in her normal voice.
"Gal I'm way too in love with that dorm, and there's no way I'm getting outta there." I mimicked her accent.
"I know right, I've never been there but I heard it's literally heaven," she said.
"TBH," I said and she laughed.
Throughout the rest of the lecture, it felt as if someone was watching me, but I ignored it.
After the lecture, I grabbed my books and got up, Ciara had to stay back to assist the lecturer.
I walked towards the route of the exit.
It still felt as if I was been followed even in the hall.
I panicked a little and hastened my pace and then bumped into someone. My books fell in the process.
"Sorry, I'm so sorry," I muttered and quickly bent to pick up my books.
The person I'd bumped into also squatted and rather said, "Hi."
I raised my head and met his adorable grey eyes.
Damien Baxter.
The second son of Middleton famous basketballer coach.
Don't ask me how u know that...
...fine I'll tell you...
Back in High school, he was our soccer coach's second son and also a basketballer himself.
Although he didn't really attend Middleton high school, that didn't stop me from crushing on him.
Oh my gosh!
"Uhmm, hi," I said and bent my face to avoid him seeing me blush.
"I'm Damien Baxter," he said.
Duhh I know that!
This is so awkward.
I know that!
You a hoe?
Get outta my head you pesty voice!
I quickly packed the remaining books up and he reaches his hand up to help me up.
I wondered if it was a prank and he was gonna let me fall on my butt just to embarrass me.
Yeah, I've got trust issues.
I took his hand and he helped me up.
My stomach had butterflies in it all because of his soft hand's touch.
Now I feel like a mess, why was I blushing anyways.
"I didn't catch your name," he said.
"Tiffany," I said.
"Uhm...Tiffany...nice name," he said with a wink and walked away.
My cheeks heated up again and I quickly spun around and then met Zeke.
"Uhmm...Tifanny...nice name," he said in a high-pitched tone.
I roll my eyes at him.
"Have you been stalking me?" I asked.
He shakes his head laughing, then asked, "Who was that?"
"That's for me to know and for you to shut up," I said.
"Ow," he said and placed his hand on his chest.
"You're so cute when you're trying to be mean," he said.
"I'd take that as a compliment," I said.
"It's not a compliment, grow up nerd!" He said laughing out loud as he walked away raising his middle finger in the air.
Does he have to be a douche at times!
"Don't let him make you go nuts, he's probably plotting on you kicking yourself out," Ciara said.
So she saw what happened.
"And why's that?" I asked.
"You're Cole's sister and they are friends, so he can't possibly kick you out, even though he wants to." She said.
I made an "Ohh" in the realization of what she'd just said.
