Crystal was a lot of emotions right now but stupefied was definitely the most prominent one. She never would have imagined that her powers came from that plus she felt sad to know that my mother and father were possibly dead.
"I need time to process all this please because it's a lot to take in right now" Said while trying her best to put up a brave front but Aiden knew that and he wasn't going to allow her to.
"I know that it's hard for you and I can never imagine what it would feel if I was suddenly told my parents was dead and I suddenly became the medium for evil to come into the world. All I want you to know is that I am here for you. I understand that you don't know me or trust me enough to but I will always be here for you." He trailed off mostly because he didn't really know how to comfort girls.
Crystal stared at him deliberating whether to listen to him or not but she gave in to him as she had never had anyone offer her a shoulder to cry on. She rushed forward and hugged an obviously stunned Aiden before she started crying.
She cried for her parents that died while trying to protect her, she cried for the fact that she would have someone to rely on now, she cried for the fact that she could be the possible end of the world. That day in the arms of Aiden our own very heroin came undone as she swore it would be the last time she would cry this much but if she had known what would happen in future, she would have shown more of her vulnerable side to him.
Once she calmed down, she became embarrassed at the thought of crying in the arms of someone she barely knew. Her face became red as she showed very obvious signs of being flustered. Aiden couldn't help but stare at her face a little while longer because he had to admit that she was gorgeous as hell but with that training he had received all this years, he knew that having other attachments could further jeopardize the mission.
He shook those thoughts out of his head and quickly changed his demeanor. He chuckled lightly and told her that she didn't have to be embarrassed as he understood or was trying to understand what she was going through. Crystal made a mental note to never show this side if her to him again lest he thought she was too weak and sentimental.
"So what are we going to so now? You said something about journeying to look for the weapons previously but you also said that the map was indecipherable so what are we to do" She asked once she organized her thoughts.
Aiden was secretly impressed by the fact that she remembered these little details even though she was obviously out of it. He was also surprised at how well she was handling all this shit after the initial tears because if it had been any other person they would freak out and not accept this big responsibility.
"I've been studying the map for a while now and I think it is depicting that we should head towards azura valley. I made sure to cross out my I's and T's on this as I am sure that no one would have been able to depict the map as I could." He said as he laid the map on the bed.
The map in itself had a beauty to it despite being old and it made one wonder if a spell was used on it as it had the obvious signature of the witches. It had an insignia of a black snake coiling around a trident that had three green gemstones that were shining on each end. All the words were written in some kind of ancient code that was claimed to be indecipherable and the layout was drawn in a rather old fashioned way.
Crystal peered at the map that was claimed to be difficult to decipher and instantly donned a confused expression.
"I know that it may be confusing for you as you haven't been studying it for years as I have but....." Aiden trailed off but was cut off by Crystal before he could finish.
"What the hell are you talking about? This is clearly written in English so why did it take years to understand the map" Crystal said.
"-"
"What do you mean in English? It's clearly written in an ancient language" Aiden said before he peered down at the map again and he was surprised to see that the words had changed from the ancient language to English.
"-"
"H....how is this possible? It was clearly....."He trailed off as he started suspecting that he had gone crazy.
"This is really weird. Did you do something? It must be you since you have a more direct link to the weapons that the maps holds." He said more sure of himself.
"Oh, so if the map just needed to be brought to me for it to be deciphered then what were the things you claimed to have deciphered? There sure is no Azura valley on this map here?" she said teasingly.
Since the day he was born, trained and became a man, this day would be the first time that Aiden rider ever blushed even though it was for embarrassment. To Crystal this side of Aiden was really cute but she tried to maintain a calm façade while snickering within.
Aiden had no idea that he had turned to a cute person in the eyes of crystal, he was still busy trying to quench the embarrassment in his heart. After he calmed down, he picked up the map and moved it closer to crystal so they could study it.
"According to the map, the three weapons are hidden at three different locations, one more deadly than the other."
"Location number one is the lake of Kraken, where it is said to be guarded by the legendary beast Gayle. It is said that the beast can transform and mesmerize one into being her slave."
"Location two, the valley of Golgotha, where the goblin, that are said to be from the pit of hell, reside. There spare no one be it male or female and they have never gotten along with any of the races. They were said to be casted there to prevent them from ragging war on the other races."
"Location three, the deadliest of all, the death valley. Nothing is known about it because no one has ever survived going there except for the person who created this map apparently."
"All this locations are where we are going to travel to retrieve the the weapons so we best get you prepared." He finished.
Crystal opened her mouth to reply him but before she could get a word out, there was an instant explosion that flung her straight at the wall.
