Chapter 4 History

"What?" was all crystal could get out.

"What do you mean by I am the bringer of doom? Please don't joke about these things with me. Don't you realize that what you are saying can get me in trouble? Plus what do you mean by naïve child, we are clearly the same age" she said while waving her hands frantically.

"I know it's a bit hard to process at this moment but once I explain it to you, you will understand." He said.

"Thousands of years ago, there was an all powerful and immortal being that wandered the world. How he came into existence is not know but what we know is that his powers are beyond anything the world had ever seen. After aimlessly wandering, he felt that he didn't have any purpose as he had seen the things of the world go and come" he paused then continued.

"The loneliness came after the first few hundred years and he couldn't endure it anymore so he made up his mind to get apprentices. He got two apprentices, a male and a female named Silas and Talia that were not in the least bit outstanding in their race and taught them all he knew. Everything was going well at first as they loved their master and he cherished them right back but it all changed one faithful day."

"He suddenly called them one day and told them that he had discovered a way to pass down his powers to someone but the catch was that it could only be one person. He claimed that it would be too dangerous if he tried to pass it to both of them. He said that they would have to go through a test to determine who he would choose."

"Silas and Talia agreed to the condition rather excitedly then proceeded to prepare day and night for it. Talia had always been more adept to succeeding than Silas and he knew that but he wanted to give it a try as he wanted that power more than anything. The day of the test soon arrived and after it all, Talia emerged as the victor. Silas was enveloped in envy and hatred towards Talia as he felt that he should have been the victor. He felt that his master was biased and he was filled with hate so he did the unthinkable"

"Their master had strictly warned against intercepting the process as the consequences were unimaginable. Once the transfer process began, filled with hatred and envy, Silas rushed towards Talia with the intention of pushing her aside and collecting the powers for himself. Once he stepped into the circle constructed by his master previously for Talia he found that he couldn't move neither could he push Talia."

"The interruption of the transfer plus the addition of someone that had nothing but hate in him caused an adverse effect. Talia and Silas got the powers alright but their bodies were merged together. After they realized what was going on, they both battled it out for dominance and Silas won. He was elated and soon became power drunk mostly because of his negative emotions and his lack of will."

"The power was too strong for him to control and he soon lost himself in it. He caused immense chaos upon the world while Talia subconscious gradually faded away. The master saw this and regretted his decision but it was too late so he had no choice but to obliterate himself to create a seal that could lock Silas's subconscious out of the body. He still couldn't bring himself to kill Silas because doing that would kill Talia also so he created a way to shut Silas out of his body."

"He knew that this method could never guarantee that Silas would forever be locked out so he created three different weapons that could help the descendant of Talia, said he ever wakes. The ring of Tale, The Sword of Zara and The Armor of Crease, were the items he destroyed himself to make. He made mention to Talia that if and when Silas breaks the seal, he would have amassed enough power to separate from her and that would be when the weapons would come into use."

"After her master disappeared, Talia entrusted the weapons into the hands of her beloved and also vanished into thin air after giving birth for him. Since that time, the weapons have been passed down from generations to generations before the whereabouts eventually got lost with time leaving only the undecipherable map as an heirloom. Every female in the family possessed great powers that were always awakened after their eighteenth birthday while the males had none. And with training, you will soon come to understand how great your powers are"

"Nineteen years ago, a feud broke out when the seal started showing signs of cracking as the killing of all the female members of the family that were newborns started to ensure Silas would never get out. Your mother had at that time discovered that she was pregnant with you and noticing that she kept having strange dreams, she suspected you were the medium. Naturally as a mother she couldn't bear to kill you so she and your father fled at the dead of night with nothing but the map, some clothes and little money to help themselves"

"On the way was when they met my father who kindly helped in giving them a ride and after knowing their situation offered to help prevent it from happening. Your mother took his word for it and asked him to train me, a year old baby at that time, to help guide you once the awakening had happened. After you were born, they were very happy as I was told but trouble came soon after."

"They were soon found by your mothers' family and a battle broke out after your mother told my father to take you and I away and leave you somewhere safe till you unlock your powers. As my father ran, a loud explosion rang out that wiped everything within a five square radius out. My father was the one who left you at the orphanage then he took me to another town where my training as your guardian began"

"We knew that your powers would awaken today so I have come to bring you along with me so I can train you to become stronger before we set out to find the lost weapons that were lost to time."

Crystal stood still, eyes wide open as she tried to process everything that Aiden said and all she could stutter out was "What?"
