Chapter 6 Happy Place

"K!" she screamed, kelvin's dad rushed to her when he heard her scream, they both carried Kelvin to the car and drove off to the hospital immediately "stay with me K, please stay with me" his mother cried holding him in her arms as Kelvin's dad sped up. On arrival at the hospital, they alerted the emergency unit. They rushed him to the emergency ward while his parents waited patiently.

The doctor after the examination was shocked at the results. He knew his patient Kelvin was dying but was surprised at the diagnosis which was run. He looked at the nurses and asked them to rerun the test, he concluded that the test might have been a mistake or mix up with a different patient.

The results of the tests came out and it was the same. Meanwhile, Kelvin's parents were waiting and praying. Not long the doctor came to inform them of recent developments The doctor still confused about the results handed the results to Kelvin's parents.

"His organs are beginning to fight back, it's surprising I have never seen anything like this before, no one reaches this stage he is and wouldn't be in a coma or certified dead" the doctor replied in amazement.

"God never leaves anyone halfway, that's the GOD I serve," Kelvin's mother responded with smiles on her face.

The next morning Kelvin's mother called Ella and told her about everything. Ella rushed to Kelvin's home where he stays with his parents. She knocked on the door and was greeted by Kelvin's mom. It was an old house but very neat. The chairs were wooden, and the curtains were pale. You could tell it had been used for a long time.

"Do I get you to water my dear?" Kelvin's mum asked with delight she was so happy to see Ella

"I just want to know will he be okay, He never mentioned to me for once, he never showed he was sick, he was always available when I needed him."

"That Kelvin, he is always like that, he rather suffers silently than ever be a burden." "Let me get my husband so we can all go and see K"

Kelvin's parents got dressed and both drove with Ella to the hospital. Ella was relieved to see Kelvin had regained consciousness as she got into the ward, it was a miracle on the turn of events.

Kelvin regained his health like the cancer was never there, weeks turned into months and months into years. Ella and Kelvin's love kept flourishing.

Life has been so good in the past two years, Ella got a loan from Kelvin's parents and built her film production company, Kelvin on the other hand ran the family business making his parents proud. Ella's company was fast-rising and became sort after in the movie industry, they never lacked in all aspects. They were like a power couple admired by all.

A good Sunday evening after service, Kelvin had invited Ella for a dinner date. The decorations were heavenly, all types of freshly plucked flowers were used in the decoration and the band he invited to play. The exquisite dishes and environment were amazing and cozy. Ella arrived at the destination and was warmly welcomed by the ushers who directed her to where Kelvin was dressed in his tuxedo dripping with gorgeousness.

Ella was like a queen, she was dressed in a white dress that lapsed finely on her skin revealing her curves, her hair was packed up in a shape of a donut with little flowers laced around it. Her makeup was nicely done, and her lips popped like red berries. She was a beauty to behold.

She walked in majestically, admiring the decorations. Kelvin's gaze fell on her face, his eyes gazed down to her heels.

"God has many beautiful creations, but my queen beats all. you look amazing," kelvin said not taking his eyes off her.

"Don't tell me you rented this whole place for us" she asked smiling,

"You know your man if it's not classy it's not me," he said proudly.

"Do I smell pride here?" she asked as they both laughed. He held her hand and took her to sit opposite him for their dinner. The environment was so cozy as they both laughed and giggled while having their meal enjoying each other's company.

The time was set, and the band began to play, "Can I have this dance my love" he asked standing, stretching out his hand to take hers,

"Sure" she smiled putting her hand in his.

They danced to the melodious songs played, emotions running through with the wordings of the songs carefully picked by Kelvin, and then it stopped. It was at this point that Kelvin knelt and brought out that diamond ring "you are a true definition of God's handwork, everything in my life took a good turn when I met you, please make me the happiest and most blessed man Ella Mills, marry me?" he asked softly with all the love he felt for her. Tears streamed down her eyes; she couldn't believe love so pure existed. Where all your imperfections are overlooked, sacrifices are made, loyalty, trust, peace of mind, support, and above all the love of God.

"That should be my line K" she responded. "My life took a good turn when I met you. I got to know God, who pulled me out of the shadows. I will marry you a thousand times over," she said with her teary eyes while stretching out her hand, he put the ring and kissed her on her forehead. They both hug each other, "I love you" kelvin said,

"Life comes in phases K, I am glad I got to this phase of peace of mind, and I love you too," she responded.
