A week later (Oklahoma state university)

Sylvia

'We're here Miss!!" The driver said jolting me out of my slumber.

I can feel Tess stirring beside me, I guess I'm not the only one tired I've been in the car for a long.

it's like we are being driven to heaven if that place exists. I don't even know if I exist. It's like I'm no longer in my body as I remember all that Mom told me the night before.

Flashback.

"Can I come in??" Mom asked.

I looked up from my book and nodded smiling at her.

"It's a wonder you could read now Sylvia!!" She said sitting on the bed "have you packed ??" She asked.

"Yep, done that though I don't have much to pack!!" I said nervously.

I know I've always wanted to see the outside walls, I remembered when I was a little girl, I'd go to Mom and ask her to tell me stories, I'd ask her if there were humans like us and she would tell me stories, lots and lots of them but as I grow up, I began to doubt if other humans exist.

Today is not like other nights for stories, I'm sure of it. Tonight is the night of truth, tonight is the night she will reveal to me what she meant by "IT'S TIME".

I watched her like a hawk as she made herself comfortable beside me "come here, Sylvia!!" She said gesturing for me to lay my head on her chest. I did as she asked and her hand immediately went to my hair as she begins to massage my scalp There was silence for some minutes before she finally spoke up.

"Many years ago, when I was a young girl I live in a world far from humans' knowledge, It's the world of the supernatural.

"Try to catch me Jay" I smiled running into the woods, I'll be fifteen in two weeks, and it will be the time when I finally shift.

My brother Jay had already had his first shift two years ago, I heard it was painful but also the best thing that could happen to us. From what I heard, the moon goddess blessed us with the ability to shapeshift into a wolf coupled with superhuman speed, hearing, and eyesight especially when we are in our wolf form.

The age at which you can shift or begin to notice your wolf is age fifteen and after that, you can find your mate. from what I heard, a wolf can find his or her mate through the mate's smell and I also heard it's the best feeling ever aside from shifting to your other half.

"Gotcha!!" Jay said carrying me on his shoulders did I mention superhuman strength?? well once you shift, you get that and also a very fine and toned body.hmm, I can't wait to be fifteen.

I noticed Jay walking with me on his shoulders "where are you taking me??" I asked squirming in his arms.

"Well baby sis, father asked me to make sure you don't go anywhere near the forest!" he replied.

"But why??" I asked.

'because it's dangerous!!" he said finally putting me down "there's a meeting going on at the pack house, heard the Red moon pack are planning to attack the next full moon" he said his voice going dangerously low.

Our clan, the Silvermoon clan is one of the smallest clans in the werewolf territories there's a form of hierarchy, we have the Alpha king who's the king over all werewolf clans he's like the governor, while in the other clans, we have the Alpha with his Luna followed by the beta who is the second In command, the gamma who's the third in command and the Omega who's the last of the hierarchy. The omegas serve as a help to the Alpha and in other werewolf clans, they are mostly treated as slaves but in my clan, they are given rights and treated as one of us.

I and my brother are part of the Beta family my father is the Beta to the Alpha while my brother will be the Beta to the Alpha's son. The Alphas are known to be very powerful. I'm sure you're wondering how I've got lots of info, well as the next Beta female, I need to know the history of my people. I just can't wait to shift so I can start training with the other warriors of the clan.

"Let's go!!" Jay said driving me into the pack house but instead of a meeting, we saw everyone having lunch.

"Come here children, we have been waiting for you!!" The Alpha said beckoning to us.

I rushed over to sit beside him because well I'm their princess. I could feel Luke the alpha's son staring at me. I averted my gaze and shyly tuck my hair behind my ears.

"Now when will our Lisa clock fifteen??" The alpha asked smiling.

"In two weeks!!" I replied shyly.

"That's great!!!" Luna said winking secretly at Luke, well she didn't know I saw her.

I've caught Luke staring at me almost all the time He's my brother's age mate, but I can't deny the fact that I'm attracted to him. He's handsome, has brown eyes and a muscular build. Why am I thinking of him in that manner? I inwardly fan myself. "excuse me!!" I said rushing into the kitchen.

I opened the fridge and decided to just stick my head inside to cool my hot face, few minutes after, heard his voice.

"Are you okay??" he asked.

I removed my head from the refrigerator and closed it shyly "I'm. I'm o okay!" I stuttered.

"You look sick!!" He said putting his hands on my forehead.

I feel butterflies in the pit of my stomach at the mere skin contact "I have to go!!" I mumbled out and without waiting for his reply, I rushed out of the kitchen and out of the pack house.

Two weeks later (the full moon)

I've not been feeling good no that's wrong, I don't feel good. I feel like something is about to invade my thoughts like something is pushing through a barrier in my mind, it's my birthday and I feel very awful. I let out a restrained scream as I hold my stomach, I can feel my temperature spiking.

"It's gonna be okay!!" a voice cooed in my ear.

I don't care who the voice belongs to putting his hands around me is making me feel better

"I feel awful!!" I said my voice cracking from all my screams.

"It's gonna be okay baby trust me!" he said once again.

I opened my eyes slightly and I could see Luke holding me tight like I'm the most precious thing to him. Even in the haze of pain, I'm still mesmerized by his beauty. I didn't know when my hand slipped into his hair and I heard a voice in my head screaming "MINE!!" I opened my eyes wide in shock as I push off his arms and ran out of the house into the woods.

I know he followed me cause I can still hear his footsteps behind me and then I heard the bone crack. I've seen others shift so I know what this is, I'm about to shift, and I tried to calm myself as Jay had taught me and open my mind, within minutes, Luke stood taller than me with a big smile on his face.

That smile meant something!!!" I did it, I shift!!" I said in my mind looking at my paws.

"No, we did it??" I can now hear the voice directly in my head. I can feel Luke stroking my fur and I now understand what this is, Luke is my mate, I'm mated to the alpha's son.

We were still in that position, he stroking my fur and I still in my wolf form enjoying every bit of attention when we had the bell. The alarm bell!!!.

"We are under attack!!!"
