Episode 4

Christine's POV

Today's the D day. I took a black trouser suit from my wardrobe to start the day. It made me look classy and like a real PA. I hurriedly took breakfast and left for work.

I got to the office and went straight for work. The boss hasn't arrived yet so a lady named Maya explained all I had to do. I started work and not too long after, the boss arrived.

"Good morning Sir" I greeted.

"Morning!"

"So what are my schedules for today?" He asked and I glanced into the book I was holding.

He sat on his chair and started walking on his laptop.

"Sir, You have three meetings today" I answered.

"Two this morning and one later in the afternoon" I added.

"So have you prepared everything down?" He asked now staring at me.

"Yes sir. They have started arriving for the meeting" I said and he nodded.

"Good. Good Job for a start" He commented and I smiled " Thank you sir" I appreciated.

He stood up and we proceeded straight to the meeting room.

The two meetings went well and we had the deals.

I checked my watch and it was time for my lunch break. I excused myself from work.

I got to the office cafeteria and I met a lot of staff eating and chatting. I brought out my food and started eating. Just then, a lady joined me on the table and smiled at me.

"Hi" She said

I smiled back " Hello"

"You're the new PA right?" She asked and I nodded.

"I'm Sarah" She introduced and stretched forth her hand for a handshake.

"Christine" I said and shaked her hand.

"So how's work? and how do you see the work environment?" She asked and took a bit out of her bread.

"It's all good. Thanks" I answered with a smile.

We talked about things... so many things. She's a very good talker and a good listener too.

Lunch time was over and I went back to work. I submitted some files on his table and gave out files to other sections of the company.

I was a first and very stressful day at the office.

He left the office few hours to closing. I prepared things down for the next day and I was done in no time.

Closing hour came and everyone began retiring home from a busy day.

I walked straight to the bus stop and waited patiently for a bus. I took out my phone to check the time , almost immediately, someone hit me from behind and my phone fell to the ground.

"Oh my!" The person exclaimed. I turned to look and to my greatest surprise... it was Sarah.

"I'm so sorry" She apologized feeling sorry for what happened.

"It's okay" I replied with a smile and picked the phone.

I arranged and put everything in place; the battery and the back cover. The screen had a minor crack but I overlooked it.

I switched it on and it worked.

"Thank God!" She said and heaved a huge sigh of relief.

"Like I said before, it's okay" I said calmly.

"My God!. You're so nice" She commented and I chuckled.

"Are you also taking a bus?" She asked.

"Yes I am" I replied. Not too long, a bus stopped right in front of us and some passengers alighted.

We entered and took a seat right next to each other.

"So how was work today?" She asked.

"It was stressful but good" I replied.

I didn't even ask what she does!.

"Em... so what do you do?" I asked.

"I'm one of the PRO's of the company" She replied and I nodded with an "oh"

"Yep"

We talked a lot about crazy stuffs and she finally brought up Sir Walter.

"The company's staff day is coming up soon" She said and I looked at her.

"Staff day?"

"What that?" I asked.

"Well it's like a small garden party. It helps each staff familiar with another. It's just a little party for staff though" She explained and I found quick interest in it.

Wow!

"So does it take place in the office area?" I asked.

"Oh no!. There's a small garden the company owns. That's where it happens" She explained and I nodded.

"And the most exciting thing is that.. we get to bring a tag on" She said and giggled.

"Tag on?"

"Yeah...Like a plus one" She said and I gasped.

"That's great!" I exclaimed with excitement.

"So who are you going to bring?" She asked.

"Well.. I'll bring my sister" I answered. "And you, who are you going to bring?" I asked.

"My boyfriend!.. Who else?" She said and I laughed.

"So when exactly is the day?"

"Well, It's next week. We'll likely get the invitation tomorrow... without that , there's no entry" She said and I nodded.

Good!.. It's great for me. Now I have time to mingle with some staff. But I actually wonder who Mr Walter will bring.. Maybe his girlfriend?? If he has any.

I got home and relaxed. I didn't meet Chrystal at home. I was told she had a fight with Amelia... they are always fighting.

Chrystal's POV

I got to the pharmacy and bought my drugs. I couldn't go home straight because I wanted to spend sometime alone out here.

I walked over to a water fountain and as the night approached it became more beautiful with all the lights around it. I sat very close to it and dived deep down in thoughts.

How will I explain to Christine about my health and all?? ...Will she be able to handle it?

"I see you take a lot of evening walks" a voice said a pulled me out of my deep thoughts. I turned swiftly and I smiled.

"Mr stranger!" I exclaimed with a smile.

"Good evening Chrystal" He greeted and sat next to me.

"How did you find me? Are you stalking me?" I asked suspiciously.

"Oh yes.. I actually don't have work to do so I stalk you all day" He said with a smile that vanished within seconds and rolled his eyes.

Sarcasm?? Oh, he's talking to the queen!

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Felt like taking a walk down here and boom!! You!" He said and I smiled.

"You seemed quite lost in thoughts.. Tell me, is anything the matter?" He asked and I breathed out.

"There's just a lot of things on my mind. That's all" I said.

"Tell!!.I could be the messiah you're looking for" He said and I laughed and looked at him with disbelief. "You?!" I exclaimed and scoffed.

"Ok fine!. Well I don't really do anything throughout so I need a job" I said.

"Can you gimme?" I said breezily.

"Job huh?!. Is that all?" He asked.

"Yeaaaahhh" I dragged my reply.

"Ok then, meet me here tomorrow.. same place same time" He said and my eyes opened wide.

"Really?!" I asked.

"What do you think?" He said with a smirk.
