Chapter 5 Job hiring

Krissy pov:

I went straight to the kitchen, I found my father having coffee but he was busy reading the newspaper.

"Morning tay!" I greeted him then I brewed coffee.

"Morning , aren't you leaving now?" Dad asked then put down the newspaper and sip a coffee. "You don't you have any plans to use the course you just finished?" in addition, mama said while she serve the food. I just gasped as I thought about it.

Because the truth is, I don't know what to answer to their questions.

"All right, I'll try to apply to the call center agent first!" they looked at my answer as if not contented.

"Why don't you just go to the old school you went to when you were still in high school. Mrs. Ofelia willing to help you if-" mama was stunned when I held her hand, a reason why she couldn't continue as she should say.

"Mom, I tried but I always fail, maybe this course isn't fit for me. I've applied a lot but I always get rejection. I don't know why? Maybe another job will suit me!" I explained.

"And what kind of work?" wrinkled when dad asked.

I let out a deep sigh before I spoke again.

"I don't know yet, but don't worry, I'll try to find a decent job." I answered with a smile so that they wouldn't have to worry anymore.

"We're not forcing you, we really want you to always be here at home because your older brother rarely comes home. In the next few days, he might get married, even if it's hard to imagine, we still needs to be accepted." my father's sad response.

"What are you talking about? Danny, it's also for her. The job she can find is for her own good. She has to look for a decent job because we're not healthy all the time." I felt a pain in my chest at my mother's answer as if something had pierced my chest that I can't explain, I know I don't like what my mother said.

"I only wish she will find a job. To see them they are in good condition is already enough for me. We will not stay in this world. So she should just do what is right not for us but for her future." I feel like I'm sad to hear from my mother even though she's smiling saying those things, I feel like my heart is being broken by the words I heard from her.

Now, I understand why my mother is always scold me. Even though I ger a lot of sermons from her, it was okay, also because of her rudeness and strictness, I was able to finish the study without any obstacles. She's right, everything they think is for my own good. There's nothing wrong with the advice they give if you just listen them.

Parents are always right!

Before, I didn't understand what they were saying because I thought they were just interfering with what I wanted, now everything is clear to me. Now everything is gradually becoming clear to me, its all for my own sake.

After I ate, I hurried to take a bath and then I called Aira and Jasfer to ask if there was a vacancy in their works, maybe I could be part timer first while I was still looking for a decent job, they would talk to the manager first, that was the only answer I received from my friends.

So while I was doing nothing instead of locking myself in my room again and doing useless things, I just thought of what I could do.

I searched for job hiring online.

As I scrolled out of the country job hiring with a bigger salary I saw my eyes widen in amazement. I see different job hiring and different places as well.

I sighed again furiously.

"Looks like I'm going to watch it again, why can't I find a decent job that I can work on? It's like everything comes out of here is spitting on my soul doesn't seem to like me." I whispered to myself as I fiddled with the laptop.

I wiped my face and then closed the laptop as if I had lost my appetite.

I lay down and then fiddled with my cellphone. I don't know what apps I hit. I saw different job hiring and when I tapped the link that pope up next to the details and picture, did a hiring job for the campany appear. Actually, it looks like an agency, I just need to visit the homepage using the link I saw, and there are some survey questions there after filling up, then I immediately send the details about me and what job I want to enter.

Because of the excitement and curiosity, I accidentally tapped the, "INSTRUCTOR FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION" that's what I pressed. Late when I realized what I had entered. I won't preview it again. Automatically send the aplication form. In a panic, my time has stopped for a while. I don't know if it's a scam or not because the amount of salary that comes out is large.

"80,000 per month?" for a moment I thought then of what I saw. I glanced at the cellphone several times as if my eyes would burst with shock.

"Waaaaaaahhhhhhh ..." I shouted loudly in shock. I was confused and couldn't think straight, I was even more nervous when I received an email that I received and I had to personally visit their office to personally submit my personal documents.

I can't quite explain what it really feels like at these times. I didn't even think about the consequences that would happen by chance, I just knew I was happy because of the good news I received.

I was jumping on the bed like a naughty child with a great joy.

I was about to call my friend, Aira to tell her about the job hiring when the door suddenly opened and mama and daddy spat from there who couldn't read the expression on their faces like they were scared, that's what I saw I base on the looks of their faces.

"What happened? I thought you ar-" I preceded my mother in what she should say.

"Ma, tay" I took a deep breath before speaking again.

"Wahhahhhhhhhhhh ...." I ran to them then hugged them very tightly that actually surprise them. They stared at me in confusion as they asked what was happening to me?

"Mom, Dad, don't be surprised by what I'm going to tell you!" holding my breath I said, they were waiting for the next thing I would say.

"Just calm down huh? Because I'm just calmly!" I'm smiling but my chest feels like it's running out of breath, it's like anytime I'm going to faint from feeling so tight.

"Enhale, exhale first!" they went along with what I was doing. They accompanied what I was doing.

"That's right, let's just chill-" Mama suddenly slapped my shoulder so I scream again without being aware. I felt that part of my body that felt nervous and excited, they looked at each other again as they asked me, if I am fine?

I can't speak directly because of the overwhelming excitement and joy I feel right now.
